Home Guru built a fence in our backyard, and we were super impressed with the professionalism, how they listened to our ideas, the care the team took with the build, and perhaps most importantly, how well everything has stood the test of time. Thank you Aaron!

Let me start this by saying this is not my first major reno. We have done serval over the years, ALL of which I ended up having issues with. I fully understand how the process works and that it will always cost more in the end. So I went into this with a casual attitude of length of time for the job to go and that the budget was loose. This is however my first renovation where I would 100% recommend this company start to finish. The first thing to note Is the level of communication Aaron, Justin and Ian provide is what sets them apart. Everything is laid out for you to see and they alway stay in touch to manage your expectations. Questions get answered immediately with clear timelines laid out for you. You are never guessing where the crew is and if they are coming back. And if you are just ask, they will answer you immediately. The second thing to note is the level of respect for your space is bar none. The job site is always protected, tidy and clean as can be at the end of the day. The reno did come in over budget, as to be expected but they way they handle it, it's never a surprise and it laid out on a website for you to see and manage. All of the crew are sweet and respectful. They take pride in their work and try to keep disruptions to a min. No loud screaming, swearing, garbage left laying around or obnoxious music blaring all day on this job site. ( Things I have encountered in the past) The level of craft is excellent and I even went away on vacation and left them to finish up. Something I would never dare to do in the past. I don't like even leaving the house during a reno for fear something will go wrong while I am away. Speaking of issues, should one arise, the crew will do whatever it takes to fix it. We had one small hiccup, a time line crunch and instead of the usual " Oh well, that's just the way it is" their response was to pull all the trades in the same day and push through until it was done. I am beyond happy with this renovation and would hire them in a heart beat!

These guys are fantastic! I recommend them to anyone undertaking a big and complex home renovation. HomeGuru helped do a complete main and upper floor renovation including adding a powder room and a completely new kitchen. One of the most important things, obviously, on our contractor search was finding people we could trust with our home and money, and Aaron and Justin won us over immediately and did not disappoint during our 7 months of renovations. At no point during the ups and downs of a massive home reno was I worried about these guys disappearing or doing something wrong. Their payment schedule was honest, transparent and fair, which was super important for us. The quality of the work is outstanding, having met almost all of their sub-trades I was impressed by the pride of work and demeanor. Ian - their site manager was fantastic, we absolutely loved working with him. Him and Justin came up with great ideas and pivots and entertained my stream of consciousness. Ian was on top of every detail and I was always impressed that the smallest to the biggest of problems were taken care of without me even truly being aware of them. For example, one of the demo teams accidentally broke a pane of glass in our antique french doors and I noticed it was missing, only to find out Ian had already sent it to their glass guy to replace. Of course no review would be honest without the cons of a company. Our reno was over budget - some of it was choices we made along the way, some of it was because we undertook a renovation during a period of rapid inflation and some of it was just overages. That being said the vast majority of the overages were discussed with us beforehand and were reasonable. Their cost transparency gave us confidence that even though we were over budget it wasn't without cause. These guys truly hit all of the marks of great people to work with, trustworthy, communicative, and excellent craftsmanship. Aaron said to me at the outset that even once they're done they won't disappear and he wasn't lying, more than half a year post completion if we need something they're on it. If I had to do it again, I would still choose to work with these guys without a doubt!--

We felt very lucky to work with such a great company! The owners Aaron and Justin, and Ian our project manager assigned to our renovation were nothing short from professional, honest, patient and friendly. A quality that stood out to us was they all had high integrity. They valued doing things right, with high quality and standards to their work and work ethic. If something wasn't done properly, to their standard, or any other issue that came up, it was addressed asap and corrected/resolved. I took on the job of being our designer, thus had a relatively steep learning curve. They were outstanding with their patience and time that was required to help guide and tell me what was needed. We also loved working with their flooring/staircase supplier/contractor and one of their kitchen company's they recommended to be a good fit for us. We LOVE our new home and are very happy. Aaron, Justin and Ian were fantastic. We had a small(ish) project to redo a bathroom. In the planning stage they proposed excellent suggestions to enhance our original ideas. They worked with us upfront to set all expectations so there were no surprises as the project went along. As issues arose (as they always do!) they communicated them clearly and handled them promptly and professionally (and fairly). Great quality of work - we're thrilled with the end result. At a high level, our project consisted in - a kitchen remodel - removal of a load bearing wall - changing a rear window into a french door - redoing the flooring throughout the main floor. We selected Home Guru after meeting with 5 different contractors and we are very happy with our selection. Aaron and Justin are honest, hard-working, dependable and professional. Our site manager, Ian, was also great to work with. They guided us throughout the whole project, made great recommendations when we were unsure about our options. The project overall went very well. Within the timelines that were discussed originally and within budget that was agreed to. The site was kept clean. They use an application that helps manage communication with everyone (CoConstruct) and for me that was actually a great way to have all communications and information in one place. It made exchanges quick and everyone was in the loop at the same time. I would definitely use them again for renovations in our house and have no problem recommending them to anyone who is looking to do renovations in their home. We have worked with Home Guru twice now on two major renovations to our 4000 sq ft home. Aaron and Adam and Justin are running a seriously professional operation. Even with zero experience working with contractors I had a gut feeling upon meeting the gurus that they would be the ones to help me bring my long held dream to reality. My home is now beautiful, functional, and customized to suit my less than average size. I've settled into my new space for about a week now and continue to marvel at how great everything turned out. Logistically, the project was on budget with no hidden costs or surprises and went smoothly even with a couple of COVID delays. As a testament to their relationships with their trade partners they were able to call in alternative providers to minimize any project disruptions. The completion actually ended up on my birthday so now each year I will have two things to celebrate! In the brief but intense relationship formed during the project, communication is definitely key. The app they use was great at keeping track of all the details and timings of the project. For general messaging there might have been some kinks as written words were misinterpreted or misunderstood. We had our moments certainly but it is without hesitation that I recommend Aaron and Justin. For most of my life I've been told to only reach and settle for good enough, in this instance I wanted the best and found it with Home Guru. I entrusted them with my renovation dreams and if you are lucky enough to work with them they will help you realize yours too.

We highly recommend Home Guru! Justin, Aaron and team are true professionals with incredible knowledge, experience and know-how to get the job done right! This was our first major renovation on this 100+ year old house and there was a lot to worry about. However, we felt confident from the start that we were in good hands with Home Guru and indeed we were right! They met every challenge with an elegant solution that fit well within our budget. How they estimate is brilliant! It allowed us to select quality options for all finishings, fixtures, etc., with room to spare! It enabled allowances for the unforeseen increases in project scope, and also, as it turned out, for our non-urgent fix ups, long overdue. We were so grateful for a budget that allowed this! All the additional items added to the project scope were possible within our budget because of how the original estimate was done. They finished our basement and completely redid our kitchen, which we love!! Our kitchen is stunning and our favourite room now! Wall repair in the entryway, up the staircase and the second floor hallway (an additional scope item) has transformed that space to be so fresh and bright! Communication and budget tracking in the app throughout the project was also brilliant and provided much peace of mind. We could see in real time where our budget was at, with every invoice, expense and change-order upload. We could make spending decisions with confidence. We were planning a complete renovation of the main floor of our single family house and we contacted about 15 companies. We found Home Guru on Houzz and were immediately impressed with Justin and Aaron. We signed an agreement in early September 2021 and quickly agreed scope, schedule and budget – and Justin and Aaron guided us through the item selection process and the various decisions to be made. Work commenced ahead of schedule in late October and the job was finished ahead of schedule and on budget in only 2 months despite the many supply chain challenges and various additions to the scope – and Justin and Aaron were super responsive and provided guidance throughout. I am recommending Home Guru to all my friends and family and will use them again if we need to do another renovation.

Aaron and Justin were willing to work with us right from the beginning make our kitchen renovation ideas from no more than a few sketches. Aaron was great at the pitch. He came, priced us. He met the timing goals and was quite helpful. Once installed, it was crooked and uneven and did not address this concern. He said it basically is to much work to fix. I have had many friends ask me who did the work on my new home with the kitchen he installed. I would not recommend. I have now hired someone to fix this and it has costed me additional money. Which after the amount I spent on the original. Is not a good price after all. And a headache not worth it.

We worked with Home Guru on a renovation of our townhouse. We had two sets of closet doors installed, we had carpeting replaced with engineered hardwood, and we had carpet removed and wood clad over three sets of stairs. We are very happy with the end product. Everything looks great and is good quality. Will definitely work with Home Guru again.

Completed a shingle replacement on house and garage. Very communicative, especially since weather was unpredictable and project had to be rescheduled a few times. Estimate was accurate. Friendly, amenable to requests, made sure to return ASAP when some small parts of the job needed additional attention. Made helpful recommendations regarding possible existing problems created by previous roofers/homeowners so that we knew to anticipate any additional costs, though fortunately problems did not happen after all.

Home Guru team are absolutely great! Extremely professional, attentive and went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied. They remodelled two of our bathrooms and the kitchen bar. All the work was done with as little mess and inconvenience to us as possible. Whatever issues we may have had, they were few and minor, were immediately resolved. Justin and Aaron recently oversaw the installing of a sump pump, drainage system, and repairs of structural damage in the basement, including new doors that had to be special ordered for a tiny basement entrance. The project was completed within budget, and on time -- there were no surprises. When, as the project was under way, I considered making some changes, they were flexible and helpful in providing quotes fast as well as useful information to consider. Any time I had questions, they responded within hours or sooner, whether by text, phone, email, or dropping by if needed. I particularly appreciated how knowledgeable they are and how readily they shared that knowledge in plain language, to help me make the most informed decisions. We hired the Gurus to renovate our master bathroom. The end result exceeded our expectation as the quality of delivery was near perfection. Home Guru just completed a full bathroom renovation in our downtown condo. We love the finished product!. Working with Justin and Aaron was a pleasure. Home Guru did a fabulous job on our bathroom. The bathroom had to be taken right back to the studs and re-built. Home Guru did the design and the full renovation. Justin and Aaron stayed on top of the job. They were on site or in communication regularly. All their workmen and subcontractors were professional, friendly and did a great job. They always left the site clean at the end of the day (which wasn't easy to do in our small house) and they handled all the surprises that are inevitable once you start tearing into walls in an old downtown Toronto house. I had an extensive renovation that requires a very tight budget for a very large space and I had 6 weeks to complete it. Home Guru came through in clutch.

The Gurus were great from the start. Showed up on time and were thorough in gathering all the information needed to create a comprehensive estimate that barely changed when it came time to pay the bill. This was a nice change from our last contractor that did work for us and the estimate almost doubled when it came time to bill. Once everything was agreed on, they showed up and immediately got to work. The only delay was waiting on the new cabinets to come in, which was the manufacturers issue. They have a carpenter that works for them that is absolutely excellent and he played a big role in our overall satisfaction. I will be recommuthem to friends and family. Very happy with the work . Finished product looks great.

Home Guru Inc are my heroes! They did what most people would say is impossible: my reno was on budget, on time, and successful all around. My needs were diverse and they accepted the challenge. My basement was waterproofed, remodelled, drain replaced, sump pump... as well as porch railing replaced and detached garage re-roofed and re-enforced. I had never done a reno and I'm a single woman - but their crew were polite, professional and not at all condescending. I highly recommend Home Guru Inc!

We originally approached Aaron and Justin about doing a kitchen and bathroom reno at our 100-year old house. From the first moment I contacted them, they were incredibly responsive to all of my questions (which were many!). Leading up to the signing of our renovation contract, it never took more than a few hours for them to get back to me with any question, and that trend continued on throughout the entire renovation. As we had an older home, of course the kitchen and bathroom renovation mushroomed into a much larger project, but Aaron and Justin were consummate professionals throughout the entire process. Our budget and timeline barely increased from what they originally quoted us for, and they were very faithful to stick as best they could to the original budget we discussed. We had regular updates on how things were going, what they were costing, and regular invoices for installment payments. Originally the project was supposed to go on for 6 weeks, but by my estimation came in at about 8 weeks all told - which is insanely fast, considering we added HVAC work, subfloor repairs, and an entire second floor to our renovation scope. They regularly worked on weekends and late into the evening to get our project done as soon as possible. We were able to live in our home for most of the renovation solely because of how clean, neat, and respectful they and all their subcontractors were of our space. I would work with them again in a heartbeat. I think this was probably the least stressful renovation in the history of the world, as they just made everything so easy. Our home is completely gorgeous now, all thanks to their hard work and design suggestions. If you're thinking about renovating anything, call them today!

The project was managed to my total satisfaction, from design to actual completion, in less than the originally planned schedule. The tradesmen were high quality, punctual, respectul and above all - excellent professional workers. I hired Aaron & Justin to install custom built-in cabinetry in my living room. The job involved removal of an old chunky mantel, replacing it with marble, cleaning the fireplace and installing a blower to make it more functional, installing new speaker system, as well as floor to ceiling, wall-to-wall custom cabinets. They were very fair and reasonably priced, honest and hard working. Aaron was my main contact and he was a pleasure to work with, always courteous, responsive and addressing any concerns/questions I had through the process. Justin is a whiz with anything "techie" related, I knew I could trust him with the installation of the new speakers, and remounting of the tv, etc. The cabinets turned out exactly as I had hoped, and I'm so happy with the finished product! I would absolutely recommend Home Gurus to anyone looking for cabinetry in their home.

Great new kitchen! Home Guru fully managed the project. I didn't have to do a thing. Cupboards were manufactured within 3 weeks of picking them and one week to install the entire kitchen. It looks awesome! Great style, storage and workmanship

Normally, I'm reluctant to give anyone a 5-star rating since there's always something that could have been done better, but I'm going out on a limb for Aaron and Justin for their creativity. We had an annoying vent running up through our kitchen, which was eating up valuable space in our kitchen. The guys managed to find a really smart work around that covered it up and gave us extra counter space and cupboards. We got a great looking kitchen customized to our unique space at a fair price. They didn't push a bunch of useless upgrades on us and got the job done on-time and on-budget. What truly impressed me was the customer service after they completed the job... our soap dispenser was leaking and the guys sent us a replacement days after I called to notify them of the issue. We really enjoyed working with Aaron and Justin of Home Guru Inc. on our kitchen renovation and are thrilled with the results! They helped us to make our space more open, modern and functional. They listened to what we wanted and helped us work out the details of how to get there. As with any renovation, especially one where you are opening up and taking down walls, there were some surprises and setbacks, but Aaron and Justin worked diligently to help us attain our goals and try to stay within our budget. The thing we appreciated most about Home Guru was that we felt they were trustworthy and were always trying to do things in our best interest. We were never worried that they were trying to rip us off, cut corners, or give us the run around. They were reachable and easy to communicate with. One of their areas of expertise is in "smart" home automation, which we decided to incorporate into our reno. We adore the programmed lighting that adds to the mood of our space. Our favourite elements would be the in-ceiling speakers that we've added to the kitchen, living room, bedroom and backyard. We can now play or stream music all over house depending on our location and mood. Music is a big part of our lives and has become a part of our children's lives as well. Our new open-concept kitchen has improved the flow of our house and the overall feeling of the space. The kitchen looks beautiful and the cabinets and countertops are of high quality. We would highly recommend Home Guru to all our family and friends!!
