We hired HQ Remodeling & Design to completely remodel our master bathroom in Costa Mesa. This was a much bigger project than just replacing the finishes. We changed the layout and basically rebuilt the bathroom, including new plumbing, electrical and everything behind the walls. We met with a few contractors before making a decision and felt comfortable with HQ because they had a clear plan for the project and explained everything in detail before we started. Once construction started, the team was organized and communication was good throughout the project. Like with any major remodel there were decisions that came up along the way, but they were responsive and helped us work through them without making the process stressful. The bathroom came out exactly the way we wanted. It feels much more open and functional, and everything looks completely different from what we had before. We are very happy with the finished project and would definitely use HQ again for another remodel.

This was a huge project for us, basically remodel the whole house and update it for the next 20 years or so. HQ remodeling took care of the permits and design and everything else, so we could focus on the many decisions this kind of project requires. they also referred us to their suppliers and installers which saved us a lot of money and headache. It was important for me to work with one company who can handle all the process. HQR took care of the design, they did the engineering, and took care of the remodeling. The process was longer than I expected because the city here in Huntington Beach is very slow with the permits. After finally getting the permits, Eli and his team got to work and it took around 5 months to remodel the whole house including walls, floors, a new amazing kitchen, bathrooms and other details. I was very impressed with the communication and customer service of HQR, on top of the build quality. They also didn't hesitate to come back for a few touch ups, which I really appreciate. BEWARE! Hired HQ to demo our existing driveway and install a new one. We met with Eli and he seemed nice enough and competent. Boy, were we wrong. I would say the number one problem was communication followed by not having a foreman on the job. I guess Eli was the foreman – still not sure – and the only time we saw him was when we called him with an issue. He did not visit the jobsite daily or check in with us on the progress. Our 2 -3 week job turned into 5 weeks. There were days (multiple) when no one would show up and Eli would never call/text to let us know what was happening. We always had to reach out to him. A pile of rocks/debris sat in the street in front of our driveway for a week until we asked that something be done with it. The driveway does not have a consistent slope – water pools near our entryway and garage door. There were more problems but my husband and I decided (to save our sanity) to part ways with Eli and hire a real professional to finish/fix the job. His bid for your job might come in lower than others but there is a reason for that. This was a painful process for my husband and I and we would like to spare others from making the mistake of choosing HQ remodeling. Stay away.

They have gone above and beyond to fix my previous contractors mistakes. They send a project manager, nick, that spend more than two hours to show me all the options and helped me choose the tiles and fixtures.
