Working with these people has been one of the worst experiences of our life. I had to put in a completion date but we are still theoretically waiting on them to complete our house after two years. We finally just gave up and are completing the final aspects ourselves. I have heard stories about bad contractors but this was my first experience with one. Throughout the build process it became abundantly clear that Impel had no idea or care about what we were looking for - they simply wanted to take on another job despite being stretched too thin. They made a number of mistakes with our home and then refused to fix them. It has been two years of just constant attempts at communication from us, constant stress and constant emotion that has left us drained. We ultimately just wanted to end the nightmare of working with them which makes even the idea of suing them for their poor workmanship, lost rental income and stress caused unpalatable because it'd mean one more day of thinking about this miserable company. Shout out to Angela and her non existent husband Justin and their previous manager Kevin who literally quit their company, walked off our job and ghosted us - he was a real gem.

We hired Impel to build our vacation home on the Methow River. The finish product was more than we had ever imagined, we came in on budget and Justin and his team provided great service and input on the design phase in working with our Architect. The quality of craftsmanship and attention to detail is unbelievable. Justin created small areas of "awesome" all over the project and interjected style and design into every aspect of the project. We could not be happier.

Impel recently built a studio / apartment above our detached garage. They were timely and efficient. They kept us abundantly informed on the status. They worked well with their subs and they had some awesome subs. They worked well with our architect and with the local Planning Commission (zoning and permits). Justin, the principal and founder, has a lot of integrity and a lot of dedication to doing the job right. We also found him easy to work with and a solid communicator. Finally, their astute and out-of-the-box thinking saved us a bloody fortune on the project (when compared to other builders' estimates).

Justin and his team went above and beyond to create a fantastic wheelchair accessible tree house for a Make-A-Wish child. His attention to detail to ensure the tree house encompassed all of the important elements the wish child was requesting was incredible. I would certainly recommend hiring Justin for any project.
