I hired J.A. Cook Construction to perform kitchen updating, including hard wood floors, carpentry work, kitchen island reconfiguration and installation of a new gas range. Jim was very helpful and even worked with my granite fabricator that I hired separately to seamlessly install the floors, range and granite. All of it was done timely and professionally. I highly recommend Jim.

JA Cook is the best contractor I have worked with. Jim designed and built a custom entertainment area for my family. It was designed to enhance the space and architecture of my of my 1930's home, while providing much needed storage and display area. Jim also has updated my kitchen and laundry room. Jims ability is to hear what you want and need and transform that idea into reality. Jim is creative in design in working with the existing architecture of the home. He is a problem solver and overcomes obstacles when they arise, often providing a solution that is better than what the original plan called for. Best of all, Jim competed the described work on time and under budget!

Jim helped me with this project before he started his own business.
Jim installed storm doors for me. I had no idea what I needed, but knew what I wanted--Jim helped me pick out the perfect doors for my home. Installation was timely and tidy, his fee very reasonable and Jim was very courteous. I've also seen some of Jim's other work: a bookcase he made for his son's book collection and custom shelving for his son's bedroom--both items exceptionally crafted.
