We worked with Jerry to add a unique 2 story addition to our home which features 2 apartments - one apartment for our disabled adult son and another for a caregiver. This was an enormous undertaking and he completed this project in about 4.5 months. Jerry's main strengths are his communication, attention to detail, and honesty. Jerry is very organized and often referred to the story board he created in order to stay on top of a LOT of moving parts. His very strong team of subcontractors were very efficiently scheduled so there was no down time throughout the project. Jerry would call us regularly to keep us aware of next steps and would always ask if we had any questions for him. As with any and every house project, there's always some unexpected bumps along the way, however, Jerry worked with us to find a solution. He also made personal sacrifices in order to be fair to us. The addition turned out beautifully, exactly as we had hoped. It matches the style of our home, and we have received SO many compliments on it. For us, this addition will change the course of our lives as a family, and it was evident to us that Jerry understood that. He's passionate about his work and genuinely cares about his clients. We'd highly recommend him.

Jerry and his team recently finished our basement, and in record time as they were racing the clock of the birth of our child. This included putting in a full bath and very large shower. Everything came out beautifully and exceeded our expectations. We cannot recommend Jerry and his team enough. They are all a pleasure to work with, had a clear understanding of what we wanted, have a vast amount of experience and knowledge, and kept us in the know every step of the process. We fully trusted them to do what was in our best interest and will with future projects with them. You get what you pay for, high quality costs more and is completely worth it. Jerry does a fantastic job of communicating each day and is very quick to act when anything unexpected happens and decisions need to be made. He does an amazing job laying out the options and the reasons behind each one. We felt very in control and very educated with each decision. He came to us with amazing suggestions and was very quick to implement them. He is very organized and does an amazing job coordinating everything with the team and keeping everything moving efficiently. Jerry and his team were all very accommodating and respectful, as well as a joy to talk to each day. They are worth every penny we paid for this project. We will definitely be working with all of them again in the future and would come to them with any project. I cannot recommend them enough and would give them more stars if I could.

Jerry and his crew were outstanding from start to finish on our job (finishing entire basement). He and his team finished the job on budget and 2 weeks EARLY. Jerry’s honest, skilled, reasonable in his pricing and a good communicator – all the things that make an ideal contractor! His crew is skilled and professional. We didn’t have any complaints throughout the job. Jerry provided a detailed contract at the start of the job then communicated frequently and accurately throughout the entire job. His pre-assessment prior to the start of the job ensured we didn’t have any unexpected hold-ups or additional costs. I had an idea of what I wanted for design, but Jerry made several suggestions, all of which we felt were improvements and incorporated. I appreciated that I knew who was doing work every day and what they were planning to do (not typical). Thanks to Jerry’s outstanding organization and planning, whenever an activity was finished, the inspection (where required) was lined up for the following day to avoid any downtime. Everyone in Jerry’s crew was courteous, did a nice job cleaning up and did high-quality work. The last thing I'll add is that Jerry will likely not be the cheapest bid you get, but his price is absolutely fair and the quality of the work is WELL worth the price. My wife and I have worked with a lot of contractors and always regretted going with the cheapest quotes when we were trying to save money, as mistakes and issues ended up costing more in the long wrong. Across all the jobs we've ever had done, we've never had such a positive experience with a contractor. Jerry will be our first call for any future job.

Jerry and his guys did a wonderful job finishing our basement. The project was finished in 5 weeks! Jerry stayed in touch with us throughout the whole project. We have had many compliments and would highly recommend Jerry.

Our home was severely damaged from flooding during Hurricane Ida. Due to the water damage, we had to totally gut the first floor of our 150+ year old stone home. We wanted a reliable contractor that could manage the entire build process. Jerry was recommended to us by another friend in the construction industry. I contacted Jerry a couple days after the flood to see if he would be interested in looking at the project. At the time, I had no idea on when we would see any insurance money or how much that would be so we couldn't move any further than an initial introduction. A short time later, Jerry reached back out to me to see how we were making out. By that time, we had made some progress with insurance and we decided to meet at the house (still gutted) to review the project. We immediately liked Jerry and felt that he would be trust worthy partner. He was very sympathetic to our situation and paid special attention to the historic features of our home, even from the first meeting. About a week later, we received the proposal to do the work. The project included subfloor repair, framing, insulation, plumbing, rewiring 2 floors of the house, drywall, cabinetry, custom trim work, painting, flooring, and tile...basically a total rebuild of the interior of the first floor. Jerry's pricing was within our budget and we knew he understood the severity of our sensitive situation. He suggested ways that we could save money such as having us purchase the flooring, cabinetry, counter tops, and tile on our own. This was our first time hiring someone for a project of this magnitude and were appreciative that he was willing to make these suggestions. We signed the contract and work started soon after. We lived upstairs with various versions of temporary kitchens and living rooms as the work went on. The subcontractors that Jerry brought in were all great and we even became friends with some of them throughout the process. They all knew that getting us back to a normal way of life was a priority. The subcontractors that did the electrical, tile, flooring, finish carpentry, and painting were especially great. Their attention to detail was very impressive and they made for an awesome finished product. Throughout the project, there were only 3 additional charges, one of which was extra work that we requested. The other 2 charges were related to additional electrical repairs that no one would have anticipated going in. Jerry had no issue deducting pricing from items that we didn't end up doing. The dialogue regarding payments and the budget was open and transparent from day 1. We never felt that we were being taken advantage of or pushed towards spending more money than we needed to. Overall, the finished project turned out great and we enjoyed working with Jerry and his subcontractors. We would recommend J. Neville Construction to anyone looking for a trustworthy contractor that does great work.

Mr. Neville was very trustworthy and honest from the start. I had three bids for a deck and he came in with the best offer. He gave me a bid for a better price than it actually was. I was not home for the entire week that he was working on my deck, and he called me every so often through out the week to keep me posted on the progress, or any changes that he was making. I felt as if I never had to worry about anything. When I returned, my neighbors let me know that Mr. Neville & his crew worked very hard on my deck. They were very considerate, quite, professional & courteous. Once the job was done, he made sure that everything was cleaned up so I could come home to a beautiful new deck! We were very fortunate to work with Jerry Neville on our home renovation. We hired Jerry as our general contractor for a very extensive renovation of our kitchen and upstairs bathroom. We also built a master suite addition above our family room and garage. From our first contact with Jerry to the end of our project we were impressed with his communication. We talked to him daily about the project and were always comfortable reaching out to him with questions. Whenever we contacted him, he would respond promptly and was always able to give us detailed answers to our questions. We were also impressed with the subcontractors Jerry used. They were professional, respectful of our property, and performed high quality work. Although we were completing an extensive renovation, we were on a tight budget. Jerry always worked with us to make the best decisions within our budget. We never felt “overcharged” or taken advantage of. In fact, Jerry often tried to help us save money or stretch dollars as we were making decisions. In short, Jerry Neville is an honest contractor who is dedicated to his clients. We will not hesitate to hire him for future work and have already referred him to several family members.

J. Neville Construction did an amazing job finishing our basement. We interviewed several contractors for the project, but we immediately felt at ease with Jerry, and knew that we wanted to work with him. From our first meeting, he had a very clear understanding of what we were hoping to accomplish, and he seemed to be as enthusiastic about the project as we were. He spent a considerable amount of time discussing our vision with us, and then developed a very detailed proposal of how we would make that vision a reality, within our budget. The work commenced on schedule and was completed within the agreed timeline. Jerry was in contact with us nearly every day to let us know what to expect, to address any concerns that we had, and to assure that we were pleased with how the project was progressing. He also offered many terrific design suggestions at various stages of the project. The basement was kept in a clean and neat condition at all times, and the team was careful to cause the least possible disturbance to our family. The work was completed within the budget that we established. The craftsmanship is outstanding, and the finished product is even better than we could have imagined. In short, Jerry and his team were a pleasure to deal with throughout the entire process, and we could not be more happy with the results. We will absolutely hire them again for future projects. I hired J. Neville construction to install a new kitchen and bath. Jerry was hands down the best contractor I have ever hired! When he said he would be there at 8:00 am he was there at 7:45 am, when I needed something explained he spoke in laymans terms and explained the pros and cons of my decision. I had a hard line with my budget and Jerry kept eveything on track and made sure the work was done to my statisfaxtion. I could not be happier with the job his company did, he even came in under budget. The reason I will recommends J. Neville construction is because he was honest, Jerry could have spent up to the agreed upon budget and I would have been fine, however he didn't take advantage and saved me money when most contractors would not have.

We are very glad that we went with Jerry to complete our kitchen renovation. He was extremely communicative and kept us in the loop (sometimes multiple times a day) with what was going on. Our job was done on schedule and exactly as we had expected. We would recommend Jerry in a heartbeat!
