I had an earthquake retrofit performed on my house. Patrick and staff were so helpful and informative! The inspection and quote process was very thorough, and included pictures and clear explanations. The entire retrofit process only took 2 days, which included some extra post bracing that I opted for. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

I did a EBB foundation retrofit with Green Avenues. I initially asked 3 different contractors for estimate. Among them, Green Avenues impressed me the most right away. They gave me the best price out of all the contractors I asked for estimate. They helped me through the EBB process (the Earthquake Brace and Bolt program which gave out $3000 grants to do the retrofit). They were patient with my millions of question and helped me with the city permit process too. They are always on time and are responsive via text/email. They got the job done quickly. Ed and Jessica are very easy to work with. Highly recommend.

Green avenues was reasonably priced. They were always prompt. They went to the courthouse and got the permits needed for my project and even helped to resolve an old permit issue that I wasn't aware of prior. They were professional and cleaned up after themselves. It was a pleasure to work with them.

After checking out and evaluating the selected four EBB contractors, Wife and I decided to pick Green Avenues. Ed was and is a true professional, yet friendly and very helpful. His assistant Marlene was also nice and pleasant to work with. I would suggest to the homeowner to have Marlene do a " Post Bracing " assessment. For a little extra cost, you will add more security and property value ( mention it to the prospective buyer ): Ask for AC post caps, instead of A-35s. We contracted with Green Avenues to do an Earthquake Brace & Bolt retrofit on our home. After researching contractors for this type of work I contacted and received a speedy response from Ed, he arranged for an estimate and he provided me with detailed info regarding the entire retrofit process. Green Avenues followed federal and state regulations and the retrofit work on our home passed all inspections. The complete procedure took a while because of state and federal reviews, but the wait was worth it. In the end, we received quality home structural work from Green Avenues which in turn resulted in a discount on our homeowners insurance policy. Dealing with Green Avenues was very easy, if I had any inquiries about the status of the work I always received a response from Ed. I would definitely recommend Green Avenues because of their great customer service and because of the quality of work that they provide. We intend to use Green Avenues in the near future for additional work at our home. We are very satisfied with Green Avenues.

Great experience with Green Avenues. Edgar Torres kept me informed of the statuses along the way. Green Avenues obtained the city permit and they uploaded all necessary documents and photos. They were very responsive to all my questions regarding the retrofit and with the contract. Retrofit was done by Jesus and Eduardo, who arrived each day at the indicated times; they were very polite. We have a very positive experience with hiring Green Avenues to complete retrofit and plumbing work at hour home. As part of the process of the Earthquake Brace and Bolt (EBB) program that we had been able to qualify for, we had to get a certain number of bids. A few contractors gave bids that seemed to indicate they didn't really want the job, while other companies gave more competitive bids. However, we liked that Green Avenues had already completed other EBB work. There were some scheduling issues with the inspector, which we believe was on the city's part considering the same inspector showed up a week before to inspect electrical work that had not been completed at our home, but the inspection itself went smoothly. All the staff was friendly and professional, and the plumber they brought in to complete some additional projects did a nice job with installing an emergency gas shut off valve, as well as replacing the hoses and attaching a vent for our water heater. We would definitely recommending making Green Avenues one of the companies you call for EBB work, as well as other odd jobs around your home.
