John's company does outstanding quality construction and switches amazingly well into furniture work. The finish quality and attention to detail on both construction projects and furniture are top level professional quality, something one doesn't see often coming from the same company. It's always been a pleasure working with John, He is always quick to return calls, diligent at keeping up on the details, conscientious, trustworthy, and fun to work with. As a kitchen design/sales professional, John is one of my very favorite contractors to work with.

We hired John to replace windows, install a french door and build a 16' deck on our log home. His craftsmanship is excellent especially in his design on how he replaced 7' foot glass panels with a french style door which opens out to the new deck. The finish work around the windows and door was also nicely done - even matching the exterior trim paint. All the work was done on budget and on a timely basis. We will definitely hire John again for future renovations.

I hired John to paint my house, fix broken and rotten lumber, fix my chimney chase, and replace my wooden decks with a Trex type material. I was exceptionally pleased with the outcomes. John's estimate was right on the money, the work was beautifully and professionally completed, and he finished on time. His attention to detail is to be highly commended. The best thing I can say is that I will certainly hire him for more work in the future.

John did a kitchen remodel for us and working with him was by far the best part of the project. He is an excellent craftsman, with great attention to detail (and budget!). We discussed the project before beginning and he offered several important ideas. He communicated with us throughout the project so there were no surprises. He was very easy to work with and always left his work area clean at the end of the day. Five stars, would certainly work with him again!

John Read Construction Corp. Exterior residence House Painting to include Decks & Shed. About John Read: Very professional. Very Prompt on quote. Quote was aggressive & on budget. Very prompt on the job time frame. Excellent workmanship. Attention to detail. After several quotes from various contractors in the area, John was first to send a contract, he was available for discussion the very next day and was able to give a time frame to start & complete the job. He explained where some boards needed to be replaced. Explained area for two coats. These added issues naturally adjusted the original quote but necessary. We were very satisfied with everything John did for our home & would highly recommend to everyone. West Dover, Vt.

John has performed many projects for my Husband and I. he has Renovated an entire Office Space, with detail in every aspect; especially the use of several different types of wood in the window trims. He has enclosed a Porch, again with such detail, as to retain the 100 year plus character of our home. He has the talent to transform wood into pieces of Art, as I have seen many of his Furniture pieces on display. They look and feel as soft as fabric when you run your hands along them. He is truly talented and his attention to detail and making his customers happy is what keeps us coming back for his services and ideas.

I hired John over the past two years for a variety of projects at my house. His work was exceptional and his service even better. Responsive, creative and accommodating. We started with a small Bathroom repair and we were so impressed with is work, we had him replace the roof, enhance the insulation, finish an addition and on and on from there. He is honest and straight forward and lives up to his word. Easy to work with and communicative without being intrusive. Our best experience in doing work in Vermont over the past ten years has been working with John.

John and his staff were great. His work was perfect. John completed the work exactly as we discussed and on time and on budget. He was very neat and cleaned up every day. John is a pleasure to work with. He is a contractor who truly displays skill, knowledge, expertize, and customer service. I will use his services again.

John completed several projects for me including a new metal roof, kitchen renovation and the installation of a hardwood floor All three projects met my expectations and were completed in a timely fashion. I found John easy to work with -communication was excellent and he was always available to answer questions and adress any concerns.

John was great to work with. He took the time to go through several options for our deck and exterior door, made sure we were comfortable with our decision. His work exceeded our expectations and price was competitive. We definitely plan on using John for all of our future work
