I had black mold in my house. The Katz team remediated the problem mold and brought back the charm to my hundred year old house. We also updated a bathroom fix the leaky roof and painted the outside to perfection.

I did a kitchen remodel with Katz Design & Builders in Long Beach, CA, a few months ago and I couldn't be happier. I chose them based on their Photos on Houzz and their website, and the fact that the project manager came all the way over to speak about an estimate and gave me all the details I needed and showed me his care. Their team was supportive and transparent throughout the process, and I love all the team members. The remodel has made a huge impact on how I feel comfortable in my own kitchen, and I even want to cook more now! I really appreciate every moment and I hope to be able to do my next project with you!

Based on excellent reviews, I chose Katz Design for our bathtub shower conversion to a walk in shower and they did not disappoint. From setting up the initial estimate appointment to completion, communication was excellent. There were hiccups, as there are in construction, but we are very happy with the results. I recently had my kitchen remodeled by Katz Design & Builders and I'm thrilled with the outcome! They not only brought my vision to life but Val also ensured that every step of the process was smooth and stress-free. Val, the project manager, was exceptional throughout the entire project. His attention to detail and clear communication made the process seamless. He promptly addressed any questions I had and ensured that everything ran smoothly. There were some hiccups along the way, which is expected in a remodel, but it was handled very well. The sub-contractors were really nice and respectful. From the plumbers to the tile workers.. They were friendly, professional, and treated my home with care. I would just advise any homeowner living in the home while a remodel to make sure things are covered or removed as it can get dusty very quickly. My new kitchen is exactly what I had hoped for, and I am so excited to show it off to friends and family! I wouldn't hesitate to use Katz Design & Builders again in the future for any remodeling needs.

We hired Katz as a General Contractor to take our architectural plans to completion. The scope of our project was about 1600 sq ft of remodeling for our first floor, including completely rebuilding an addition in the back and relocation of the original kitchen area. They were 100% dedicated to our project from the moment we signed a contract. Start to finish was ON TIME and budget -- a very rare combo in this industry! Of course hiccups happened along the way, but they were on top of any odds and ends requested by the city and it did not impact the final result or timeline. As the homeowner, I was also motivated to ensure that I had materials picked out and ordered in time for their needs, so we played a role in ensuring things stayed on track as well. This is a company that puts a lot of pride in their work and treats their project as if it's their own home. The final results were better than we could have dreamed of, it's truly a brand new home! Even in the few weeks and months after living in the space, they are just a phone call away to help with any remaining questions that come up. Highly recommend getting on their schedule for your next remodel!

Seal Beach Condo

Katz Design and Builders remodeled a 45 year old master bathroom for me. All of the sub-contractors were extremely skilled and their work was beautifully done. On top of the planned work, Val, the project manager, had to deal with a major plumbing leak in the master walk-in closet caused by the HOA's pipe. His men were able to work around it and for a reasonable cost put everything back together better than it was before! I am enjoying my new bathroom area every day and am very happy with the results.

Overall, great experience! We had various projects throughout our home that was recently renovated, the main portion was the kitchen. This included a structural wall removal, electrical, plumbing, flooring, stairs, lighting, etc. It was our first remodel and it went better then we expected. Katz Design & Builders ensured it was stress-free, timely, and organized experience! We had a deadline we wanted to stick by and it was finished perfectly on time. The communication throughout the remodel was always immediate, therefore any concern or question we had was answer right away which we really appreciated. The workers cleaned up daily to ensure the home was tidy as we were still living in the home during the renovation. We had good collaboration with the design process in planning out our kitchen. There were endless options for opportunities, such as; cabinet styles, colors, countertops, etc. We have been living with the finished remodel for over a month now and can say everything has been working amazing! No issues at all. We would most definitely chose to work with Katz Design & Builders if we plan to do any more remodels in the future! We recommend and would speak highly of the team. From start to finish our Master bathroom and bedroom was better than what we ever hoped for.We were very fortunate to have found Katz Design and Builders. Val walked us thru the remodel and what our schedule would be once we got started with everything. From demolition to completion everybody that helped complete the project was punctual, friendly, and left our house exceptionally clean everyday. Val was instrumental in much of our decision making about flooring, counter design and the shower, he has many great ideas and is happy to share them. I was so frustrated with my bathroom. I had been trying to remodel it on my own, but it just didn't seem to be working out. Then I heard about Katz Design Builders , and they were so great! Val really listened to what I wanted, and they helped me make those dreams a reality. It was such a relief to have them take over the project and handle all the technical stuff while I focused on the creative aspects of design. It was all done in less than a month, which was amazing considering how long we'd been trying to do this ourselves.

We used Katz Design & Builders a few months ago for our property renovation. The work quality was great and basically on schedule except minor delays due to Covid related supply issues. I recommend this company without hesitation. This is the second major project we have used them on. I would definitely use them a third time. If you want someone reliable and who does excellent work - these are your guys. Val is a true perfectionist!

I worked with Val, their project manager, to supply materials and install new hand sails for my interior staircase. He was prompt, way quicker at response than other people and came in $1,500 under other bids. He had it done in no time, actual install was less than an hour, for 3 separate rails. And the finished job looks terrific. Safety meets style! I would recommend this company and gladly work with them again.

My wife and I had our 2 bathrooms remodeled. We had a handful of contractors over to our house to do a walk through and it was clear from pretty early on that Val with Katz Design & Builders was the right choice. He was great to work with and open to our ideas and always there to make suggestions along the way. One of the most important characteristics in a contractor is good communication. Val was stellar in his communication. We had a text thread via phone and emails and Val did an amazing job with updates and answering any questions I had along the way. Overall, it was a pretty smooth process. I would highly recommend you reach out to Katz Design & Builders for any of your renovation needs. We are very happy with the way both bathrooms turned out. We were looking for the right contractor for remodeling and upgrading our backyard and pool. After we received 5 different estimates, we found Val from Katz Design & Builders . We could tell that he is very experienced from the 1st moment. He is very knowledgeable about how to create the right plan . We also enjoyed working with his designer , he was able to choose with us finish materials and show us everything on the 3D , which was super helpful!! Val helped us with purchasing materials, planning and permits. The workers are so polite and overall just a wonderful experience . Our construction project included removing walls, adding a walk-in shower, removing a bathtub (that requires rearranging plumbing for a new soak tub, etc. ) Their creativeness and management of the project from beginning to end with minimal interference by us was a great experience .
