Kiernan Remodeling and Design

He does quality work (I have seen a project he did at a friends), however he is EXTREMELY expensive, no details given on what costs are based on, and he does not listen to what you want. I asked for a quote to extend my garage, one wall (between house, garage, and neighbors addition in attached villa), one window and door, use the existing roof if possible, least expensive way to accomodate a workshop on my garage. I said clearly that I did not need a finished interior room. He spent all of 25 minutes with me, and he didn't write down much ar all. The next day I received a quote of $35,000, no details. I did not ask for a finished family room, new roof with a vaulted ceiling, and hurricane windows (I have hurricane shutters that could be moved) I asked for a 20' wall, remove one window off the kitchen, and level floors with insulation, I talked to him about moving some cupboards in my kitchen and putting an opening in a wall to t he living room. I asked to have it broken down (so I could decide what was worth what). I repeatedly said I wanted the least expensive solution to extending my workshop. I have done a lot of renovations in my life (I was a landlord up north, remodeled many houses and converted a warehouse to high end apartments) so I have a lot of experience with contractors. If you don't care about your project cost or that the contractor takes your needs and requests seriously, by all means use him.

John Kiernan completed a tub to shower conversion in our home. We hired John Kiernan after interviewing and/or getting estimates from 5 companies. We were impressed with the level of information John provided and the specificity of his bid. Everything was done on a timely schedule - in fact, John provided a schedule of daily activities, so we knew who was arriving and what they were doing. We can not say enough about the Kiernan team! They remodeled and designed our kitchen and master bathroom, replaced all of our flooring and touch almost every inch of our home. We were given realistic time frames within a realistic budget. My kitchen is the center of all entertainment and is talked about by many! We highly recommend the Kiernan team.

Rework our front entrance ceiling and roof line, remove existing aluminum patio roof and screened area, design and build new roof line to replace and enlarge screen room to match with existing roof line of house, remove existing slab next to the screen room and replace with patio pavers then screen this area to attach to new roof with screen enlarging and covering the complete back of house.. We are extremely pleased with our finished project. The Kiernan Remodeling team was reliable, professional, and very helpful in the designing decisions. The entire job was completed in a timely manner. We would recommend this company to any of our friends in need of this type of work and employ their services in the future if needed on a new project.

Kiernan Remodeling completed a rather major remodeling project at my home. An interior wall was opened, and an exterior wall was reconfigured with additional openings and new windows. In addition, a completely new kitchen was installed - top to bottom. All walls in three rooms were re-surfaced (smooth dry wall) and painted. Ceilings were also re-surfaced and painted. Wide plank hickory wood floors were installed in the family room. The Kiernan team was professional and timely. We were living in the house during the renovation, and the workmen were respectful. When I was unhappy with the baseboards they had installed, John Kiernan came to the site and agreed to replace them to match the existing baseboards in the house. He did this after the job was complete, and we had already paid in full. He seems sincerely conscientious in ensuring that his customers are pleased with the results in the end. Therefore, it is important to let him know what you think.

My husband and I have had numerous projects completed by Kiernan Remodeling & Design, the latest being the addition of a bathroom adjoining an upstairs bedroom. We have always been completely satisfied with their work. From the planning and design to the finished product, the whole staff is professional and dependable. Their crew is friendly and most importantly neat and clean. They are our builder/ remodeler for all of our "dreams"!

Kiernan did a full kitchen remodel in our new home which was built 14 years ago. Richard listened to what we wanted and delivered what we hoped for. They were very professional in providing a written proposal, always arrived on time for meetings, their workers were here when promised, meet all construction deadlines as outlined in their proposal, and stayed on top of everything, including the budget. Any necessary changes were brought to our attention in advance for approval. There were no "surprises". Richard and all of the folks at Kiernan were a pleasure to work with. Having moved to Bradenton, FL only a year before, we feel very fortunate to have found and selected Kiernan Remodeling for this project.
