We're so pleased with the construction of our remodeled basement and we have to thank the entire team at Kling for bringing out vision to life. They made handling all the permits/inspections so easy and their in-house architect team was so awesome to work with as well. Our favorite feature is a custom built-in cabinet with a bench and shoe storage. We definitely hope to engage Kling again for more projects as we think about other renovation goals!

We had Kling Brothers do our full kitchen remodel. They had to take out a full wall, put up a custom steel retention beam, troubleshoot with the beam running through 2 floors, full cabinets, island, builtins, lighting, two new windows, and refinish the floors. The finished product is truly top notch. There isn't one part that we aren't completely satisfied with. Whenever there were challenges, Keith would make sure the problem was corrected quickly, so we never had to worry about any loose ends. They also did an excellent job of leaving the work space fully cleaned up at the end of each work day, which really makes a difference when you are living there. Kory was the lead worker on site and was always very professional, friendly, and does highly skilled work in all areas. They came up with a very detailed budget which showed each element and how they arrived at that price and when it was all said and done, they stayed completely on budget - during a time when price inflation and product availability are a serious challenge. I would recommend their company for ANY project you are working on in your home (big or small)- they do it all and they do it extremely well.

We've done several large remodeling projects with different contractors, and Keith and his crew are far and away the best. The final product is excellent and we're very pleased. Pricing was fair/competitive. Kling Brothers is a family business, and his sons plus the other members of the crew don't take shortcuts or make promises they won't keep - this is a super-professional outfit. Unlike other contractors, they hit the nail on every one of these points: 1. Always responsive - someone always answers the phone when you call or returns the call shortly (same day). I've been ghosted for days by past contractors and this NEVER happens with Kling Brothers. I never wondered if we had a real, trustworthy partner on the project. 2. Always here when they say they're coming - this is a BIG one as many contractors seems to be in the habit of committing to work days ("We'll be there Tuesday at 8am") and then breaking the commitment like it's no big deal (as the homeowner, it is absolutely infuriating). I take this as evidence of the superior planning/organizing/estimating abilities of Kling Brothers. 3. Always doing it right - surprises WILL happen on your renovation project. I was so pleased that the Kling crew stops work, identifies problems, and proposes fixes when they see something wrong. They don't ignore big or small things - they build the way you would, like it's their own house. They don't sheetrock/paint over issues to finish the job faster and clearly take pride in doing things correctly. 4. Always communicating - schedules change, supply-chain issues arise, weather interferes - whatever it is I always felt fully informed on what was happening and how the project details were evolving. Good paperwork trail, everything agreed to in writing including ongoing changes. 5. Always worked well with others - no complaining about suppliers, architects, trades, etc. A GC that acts like a real GC - they treated everyone on the project with the same even-handedness and respect that they gave to us as the customers. Truly managed the project - no finger-pointing. I can't say enough good things. It was our fourth major renovation project (second on this house) and I wish I'd found them 25 years ago. These are good, honest, and skilled people who take pride in their work and their reputation, and they work to earn the reputation every day. Wholeheartedly recommended.

Keith and his team did a great job listening to what we wanted and paid attention to all the details. they also don't shy away from fixing stuff that was in their original scope!

We bought a new house and needed some renovations, namely: re-finish the floors, paint all the walls/trim, etc and gut renovate the kitchen. We met with a few general contractors and Keith Kling (from Kling Brothers Builders) seemed to be the most professional, fair and trustworthy of all, so we proceeded with him. Here are some highlights from the project: - Craftsmanship: top notch! No cutting corners, attention to detail and top quality work by the team! - Communication: Keith was always available, communicated clearly and was proactive with advices/issues/resolutions - Deadlines: the whole project was completed within 2.5 month, as promised. - Reasonability: quotes we got were very fair, especially given the quality of work. Keith also provided very detailed itemized breakdowns. Best of all, dealing with Keith was a "one-stop shop", where he provided services of his own architectural design team, carpentry work, dealing with painters / floor guys, recommending kitchen cabinets and stones, etc. I would not underestimate time and effort it takes to manage all the work, so I am happy that Keith was taking care of all the logistics, so we could only deal with one person, who was responsible for the overall project delivery. Keith takes great pride in everything his team does and it shows. Overall, we are very pleased with the quality of work and would highly recommend their services!

I just bought a house and needed the interior painted. I asked around and was referred to Kling Brothers by a good friend. He mentioned how great the work they had done was and when I saw the work for myself I knew I needed Kling Brothers for this project. It was a tough job in a tight timeframe and I couldn't be more pleased with the results. The work was done perfectly and the crew was a pleasure to deal with. I originally contracted Kling Brothers for new cedar shake siding and pretty much ended up with a new exterior, trim, chimney, doors and so much more. Kling Brothers LLC did a phenomenal job for us. We had our deck reinforced to support a hot tub along with deck repair .Everyone on the team was professional, courteous, and personable. Keith gave us a fair quote and he delivered on time. Every time I texted Keith with a question he replied immediately. All of his contractors (plumber, painter, electrician) arrived at the planned date and time and were also excellent at their craft, and also professional and personable. Keith Kling of Kling Brothers Builders donated his time, materials, and valuable expertise to assist me in the completion of my Eagle Scout project, which was a floating dock on a pond in Newtown, CT. Initially, Keith provided assistance in refining the design of the dock so that it met building standards and was sturdy enough for heavy use by kids. He also advised me regarding the types of materials I would need and the proper techniques for building the dock. He even got his hands dirty helping to pour the concrete footers and installing the dock at the pond. Keith's expertise and generosity were extremely valuable and helped me bring my project to life.

We hired Kling Brothers to reconfigure the lower level of our house into an office and finish the basement into a laundry room and a play room. From the very beginning Keith was very detail oriented, listened to our goals and came up with a plan to accomplish them. Kling Brothers built a detached two and a half car garage for me during the summer of 2019 after being recommended by my architect. They did an excellent job, from start to finish. Keith Kling recently spent several days accessing my property for a tram replacement following tornado damage. He did this without knowing if my insurance company was going to approve the project. He worked diligently with the tram manufacturer in Wisconsin and gave his best efforts to the project. Unfortunately, my insurance company failed to approve tram replacement, so Keith's many trips to my home were futile. Their crew did an outstanding job and finished the project in only 4 days. They took great care not to damage the landscaping around the house or the patio and walkways. An old-school story for 2106: I set out to restore the outside of my home, which was built some sixty years ago. Other contractors told me that I shouldn't or couldn't renovate. Keith told me I should and could, and then figured out a smart way to do it. For example, he not only removed the vinyl siding but stripped every coat of paint from the clapboard underneath using a tool that preserved most of the old-growth cedar wood. No mean feat. His crew -- more about them later -- replaced nearly every piece of trim, from fascia to rake boards. Keith brought in a specialist to flash the dormers and front door with copper. He sourced and installed new wood garage and storm doors, the kind that just look solid. In short, he brought the house back to itself. A superb job. As for his crew, excellent carpenters and good guys, one and all. Onto Keith. Start with the not-so-small things: he picks up his phone and takes calls. He finds answers to questions. He's a gentleman and does exacting work. As I say, old-school in the best sense.

The Kling brothers builders take pride in their work. They possess an 'old world' feel; in other words, they actually care. Whether, it is a big job or something small, their attention to detail and direction in design is unparalleled . I had a 'fixer upper'. We had our home renovated by Kling Brothers Builders last year. During the construction process, we mentioned to Keith Kling our desire to install an in-ground gunite pool after the home renovation. Because Kling Brothers Builders, and Keith specifically, were such trusted partners in our home renovation, we relied on Keith to make a recommendation for a pool builder that was of similar extraordinary quality that we came to expect from Kling Brothers. Keith recommended New Art Pools/Joe Stewart to build our pool, and we couldn’t be happier with the recommendation. We had never built a pool before, and looked to Keith to counsel us throughout the entire process. Keith did an excellent job. We first needed a pool designer/architect, and Keith recommended an architectural firm that exceeded our expectations with the design. We were looking for a designer that took the time to listen to us and our needs, and Keith’s recommendation was spot on. Furthermore, during the pool construction phase with New Art Pools, Keith was on-site to check on progress, and provided the pool builder with details such as drainage locations, underground conduits that Keith had the foresight to install during the home renovation to make the pool process easier, and other items to ensure the pool construction project moved smoothly. Kling Brothers also took the lead on clearing land at the back of the property and confirming the grading was proper. Keith was also very helpful with the selection of the stone for the patio, as well as installer. Toward the end of the project, Keith recommended a landscape architect to design a beautiful landscape around the pool which complemented the back yard and the pool itself. Keith also organized a competitive bidding process with landscapers to install the plants and shrubs, making sure that we received the best value for the project. In all, although Kling Brothers Builders does not actually build pools themselves due to gunite pools being a specialty item, I was very pleased to have Kling Brothers Builders advising us throughout the process and bringing the best pool builder, patio builder, and architects to our project, to ensure that the quality of the pool was just as high as the home renovation that Keith did for us.

Keith is always professional and has a keen eye for quality. He is trustworthy and insists on delivering the best to his customers. He believes in doing things right the first time and delivering what his customers want. He puts his name on everything he does. To do that, he has to ensure its good. I appreciate it so much. There are far too many contractors/builders whose only goal is to make money fast. Keith is someone who cares more about the customer and the quality. Kling Brothers Builders worked with our family to renovate a 1950's split level house. We were very pleased with Kling for the following reasons: - Detail orientation - Knowledge across the board - - Ability to help us look at where we should and should not spend out money. We did spend more than the original bid for several reasons - we encountered some drainage issues that required installation of drains in the back yard, we upgrades on some of the materials, and we found some unexpected mold in the walls. These things will happen in renovations and we were pleased with how Kling worked with us to resolve the issues. - Responsiveness to our concerns. - Excellent working relationship with our architect. Kling Brothers handled the renovation on my 1750s house beautifully. They replaced all the original windows in addition to rebuilding my back porch and remediating a rot situation that was worse than we thought. Not only was the crew courteous and impeccable--they cleaned up each evening so the house was usable and dust-free--but they were genuinely great guys. We enjoyed having them around and missed them when the job was done. I would use them again in a heartbeat.

My wife and I hired Kling Brothers Builders/Keith Kling to build an addition onto the back of our house, which included a new kitchen, family room, patio, mudroom, and other modifications to the interior. From the start, I was very impressed with Keith’s preparedness and diligence. He created a very detailed and transparent budget (approximately 10 pages), which outlined each item to be done and the price. More importantly, his estimate was accurate, and the prices that we agreed to did not change throughout the project. Keith is also very hands-on. He was on-site every day during the project. He is extremely responsive by email and phone, and if I emailed him a question while I was at work, within a very short period of time, I would receive a response. He was also available on weekends to meet with me, which was more convenient for my schedule. The workmanship of Kling Brothers Builders is top notch. Their on-staff carpenters are excellent, and their subcontractors are all superb. I did not have any issues with shoddy work or questionable characters walking around my property or in my house. Keith is very diligent about the “structure” and integrity of the building, and takes pride in how well built and solid the “bones” of the project are. Although I am not a builder myself, you can just tell that something is well put together by looking at it. Keith stresses quality and perfection, and was not satisfied until we were satisfied. He has access to some of the best craftsmen in the area, and in particular he introduced us to a custom cabinet maker who created a showcase kitchen for us. His other subs, such as the electrician, the plumber, etc., were all personable and flexible. All in all, we were very impressed and happy with Keith Kling. Although my wife and I are reasonable, we also have very high standards. Given the size of our project (to us), we expected top service and attention. Keith came through with flying colors, and he was very friendly, personable, and professional throughout. I have no tolerance for service providers who do not do what they say or make you feel as though you are doing them a favor by giving them your money. Keith is certainly not one of those people. Our project came in on budget, and any additional work that I wanted done was communicated and agreed-to up front. There were no surprises and the communication between Keith and us could not have been better. I give Kling Brothers Builders/Keith Kling my highest recommendation. I hope to use them again on a future project.
