This was our second remodel with Kuhn’s Construction. The first was in 2010, we added a room and a second bathroom. This project took the kitchen, dining room, office, and bathroom down to the studs and then put them in anew. I wish I had taken before pictures. The transformation is amazing. Before the remodel I prepared meals in a very dark galley kitchen with only about three feet of counter space, now I have fourteen feet of counter. Now that the office is gone light brightens the space through the two dining room windows. Dan suggested Brookhaven cabinets. I was resistant a first because of the price, but I am so happy with them. The finish is baked on, so it cleans easily and feels like butter. The pullout are smooth as silk and can hold so much. I have a baker’s cabinet, wine rack, spice rack and cabinet room to spare, without it feeling crowded. Dan fit our old appliances into the space perfectly. Notice the dent in the refrigerator. That is because it is twelve years old and my children are in their early twenties. When we had a hitch getting the counter. Dan was so supportive and got us a discount. The bathroom was a drastic improvement. I used to dislike the old bathroom so much that I never went into it unless I had to, you know to clean it once and a while. Now taking a shower in this bathroom is like bathing in a secret lagoon cove under a waterfall. While he was working, we found that the roof and the old plumbing needed attention. Dan helped us to get them done without going over budget. Working with Dan is so easy. He is professional, caring, and fun to have around. I only wish I had another project to start. Thanks, Dan. I asked Dan Kuhn LLC, to basically gut a house I had purchased and start all over again. He installed the following: Radiant heated floors in several rooms including those with wood flooring plus the bathrooms with tile flooring, new Kitchen and Bathrooms, and a beautiful Fireplace in the Living Room. He converted an outdoor porch to an enclosed Sunroom with 6 sets of double French Doors and a Fireplace. Dan also moved some doorways, adding better function to areas. The entire house was painted, with crown molding and baseboards installed even around a circular entryway. Dan listened to what I wanted, always got building permits and inspections, thus it was a big relief to know this large project was in good hands with a very honest contractor who paid close attention to detail and kept me informed. The end product is a beautiful home and peace of mind knowing everything is done well.

Dan provided a complete quote on this project. I received two others and interviewed all three bidders. Dan came through the most honest sounding and with a complete bid and description of work to be performed. Work was begun as stated and completed according to his and our schedule. Some extra work was added by me or job conditions and was also performed with reasonable extra charges and reasonable extensions of time. Great work and clean up. Hire this man.

I hired Kuhn's Construction to complete a major remodel of our kitchen and family room including a new outside deck. I was extremely satisfied with the professionalism of this company. The quality of all workmanship was outstanding. We had no major construction issues, but even the minor issues were quickly remedied. I would highly recommend this contractor for any remodel job, large or small.
