Matt and his team from painters, tilers, plumbers and electricians did a great job completing our renovations of 2 bathrooms at the same time. Sam the office manager was amazing promptly answer any questions and concerns I had. Over all happy with the project and the end result.

After a very difficult experience with a previous contractor, this team stepped in and completely turned things around. They were professional, transparent with pricing, and communicated clearly throughout the project. They were on time, stayed on schedule, and stuck to every commitment they made. The quality of their work was excellent and they helped get my basement project back on track after it had been left in a bad state. I truly appreciate their honesty and craftsmanship. If you’re looking for a reliable contractor who does what they say, I highly recommend them.

Extremely Unprofessional and Dishonest Experience Key Issues (read before hiring): - Constant delays, cancellations, and poor communication - Unprofessional and hostile behavior from owner (Matt) - Misrepresentation of experience and capabilities - Overcharging and refusal to return money promptly - Very poor workmanship and zero accountability I hired LDL Design Center (Rockland, MA) to repair and refinish our front entryway. From the start, Mike was personable and extremely eager to earn our business, but unreliable—he missed appointments, arrived hours late, and brushed off important project details without taking notes. Despite these red flags, we moved forward after he promised photos of similar restoration work (which never came). Communication was terrible in the weeks that followed, with repeated unanswered texts about estimates and timelines. When work finally began, the first day turned into a disaster. One of my neighbors (with decades of restoration experience) offered constructive feedback to the crew, only for Mike and Matt to respond by yelling at customers over the phone—a level of unprofessionalism I’ve never seen in any contractor. We immediately decided to end the contract after seeing sloppy work and learning that the crew had never done a job like ours before despite assurances to the contrary. Getting our refund (minus time and work done that day) was another ordeal —Matt delayed payment, overcharged for labor and even billed for an estimate visit that was never discussed. When confronted, he became aggressive, calling to shout and argue instead of resolving the issue professionally. He did not return our money for the overcharged labor and estimate. LDL Design Center is disorganized, dishonest, and unprofessional. Their eagerness to win your business quickly turns into hostility once they have your deposit. I strongly recommend avoiding this company. My experience mirrors other complaints and lawsuits you can find online—do your research before hiring them.

Been working with Josh on multiple projects. Currently in the process of having our kitchen renovated, a bathroom added & building a deck! The communication has been extremely prompt and my wife and I couldn't be happier. Josh has made multiple visits to our house personally to help us design and bring our vision to reality!! Working on a 203K loan and it has been hard to find someone that knows and understands the process but Josh has been amazing. He responds to all my calls and emails immediately. He has taken the time to educate me on the process from start to finish. He makes thoughtful recommendations when necessary. Most importantly he eases my anxiety by reassuring me that we will stay within budget.

We have a cape style house and had this load bearing wall from our living room to our kitchen and for years we have wanted it down but it was too expensive everywhere we went or they didn’t want to deal with a “small job”. I found Matt and his team on thumbtack and he called me right away, we went over our budget and what we wanted and he said it was no problem. John came to measure everything and was a great point of contact throughout the whole process answering everything we needed and we needed a lot! Electritian, demo, plumber, flooring, painting, baseboards, inspectors, dry wall, dumpster, were all here to go over what we wanted/needed first and then they would come another day to get the job done. The wall was taken down and the beam was up in 1 day! It was awesome and now with 2 dogs, a toddler and a baby on the way we can enjoy our not so small house anymore! Can’t thank Matt and his team enough!

Matt helped us transform our outdated kitchen and bathroom into a space we now love to use! He was on budget except for additions that were added and he was happy to accommodate. He also helped transform our backyard with a new stair entrance and roof to our garage. Great experience working with Matt!

I hired LDL design to complete a renovation of my condo in Brookline. From the very beginning, I knew that I had made a great choice. Matt’s team was incredibly responsive from the very beginning - understanding my needs and helping me understand what was possible. They completed a beautiful renovation of a historic condo that had not been updated in many years. They completely gutted, my kitchen, bathroom and closet and created the most beautiful space I can imagine. My house is now an amazing place where before it looked old and outdated. John Bailey was the lead project manager and could not have been more responsive and respectful through each interaction. I had several upgrades and redesigns and he was patient and generous with his time. I fully recommend LDL and hope you choose them for your project as well. You will not be disappointed.
