As you can see from the photos, Curt was in over his head with this job. He was paid a lot of money, so his work can be redone a few years later, because though he said he understood how things quickly deteriorate near the ocean water, this is obviously not the case. Though Curt charged many fees for his administration, he hired many subs to complete jobs, though his subs were absolutely incompetent. Once, they forgot to put a tarp over the roof of the house, though it was raining when they left. The entire house was drenched and we excused Curt and his subs for this. We had some benches built on the roof, which were promised to last, however the workmanship was of poor quality, as you can see from the photos. Curt hired a sub to complete these benches and Curt admitted that the benches were not done to a good standard of quality. However, instead of find a way to remedy the issue, he washed his hands of it though this was his sub. I would 100% NOT recommend Curt or Lotus Builders to do any work. In my opinion, he does not care if you pay a lot of money for terrible workmanship, he only cares that he gets paid. Save yourself the hassle and look for someone who is honest and who is around more to ensure quality work is done on your home.

Kurt Caplan is one of the most organized general contractors that we have had the pleasure of working for. He schedules the trades so that the job can run smoothly from beginning to end. He is easy to contact and understands the needs of the customer and wishes to have every job done in a timely and professional manner. He treats the customers with respect and is a pleasure to work for. We have since had the pleasure of working with him on other projects and he remains professional and treats every customer with respect.

I had the pleasure of working with Curt and his Lotus Builders team recently. I can be very particular, but I couldn't be more pleased with both the quality of work and how easy it was to work with Curt and his team. Curt and everyone on his team, especially Cort, Salvador, and JC, were extremely knowledgeable, professional, trustworthy, courteous, and simply did excellent work. I hope to work with Curt again and I highly recommend the Lotus Builders team for anyone looking for a general contractor or residential remodel.
