M.A.S. Construction

Mike did a project in our home in Cory Merrill in January 2015. He helped us remove a load-bearing wall in our 1941 bungalow, installed a support beam, and did all the finish work. Mike was not only professional, timely, and honest, he went above and beyond to make sure we were happy and comfortable with the costs. We mentioned that we were big DIY-ers and would be happy to help with the demo, and he happily talked us through how to do so in order to cut some expenses from the project. When it came to the quirks of our old house (uneven thresholds, different floors from one room to the next) he was great about offering a helpful opinion and helping us compare our options. It felt like we had a friend in the house helping us with a project, which was awesome! The project turned out beautifully and was done EXTREMELY fast. His accuracy and attention to detail is unsurpassed. I have to add, that personally, it is important for me to get along with a contractor. Mike was amazing, from being nice to our furry children, to shoveling a little snow off our sidewalk one morning. I couldn't have asked for more from him either as a person, or as a contractor. I hired Mike to make a new countertop and stone backsplash. The pictures of my kitchen are here. He did an amazing job! I have since put in stainless appliances which really sets off his work. He also replace the carpet in my downstairs town home! Beautiful. He has a very good eye for color and materials to make the job look spectacular. He was always on time, did everything he promised in the time he promised. I would recommend him highly. Price for hiscexperiemce is excellent as well.

I hired M.A.S. to to remodel my basement powder room. This involved tile floor, new drywall, new fixtures and a coat of paint. Their work is quick and clean. The project took 3 days and I never came home to a mess. They also made good suggestions on design choices and I ended up with a room that's much nicer looking then if we had gone with all my original choices. Planning to hire again.

I had an excellent experience with M.A.S. construction. Owner Mike Smith was reliable, on-time and communicative throughout the whole process. I wasn't really sure on certain specifics on some of the work I wanted and he was very empathetic to my budget, taste and overall vision. I was really impressed with his eye, his ability to look at my space and optimize the project. Most importantly and of note was his work ethic and doing what he said he would, when he said he would. Working with contractors can often be a nightmare, with not calling you back, showing up late, not communicating with you until something is so off base. I was really impressed and there were no surprises. Would definitely recommend him!
