Makoski Construction and Remodeling

We did a major upsizing of our existing home located on a hillside in difficult circumstances. Several other contractors had rejected the assignment.We had a designer and Makoski worked efficiently with him and provided very high artisanal work. The project was a complete success even though we made many changes as we went along. We were completely satisfied with the work and the knowledge and assistance we received from Makoski throughout.

Frank Makoski from Makoski Construction is meticulous in every way. He built an apartment onto my existing home for my mother in 2012. His work ethics are superior, he gets the job done and is consistent day in and day out, until the job is finished. I would have no other company work for me. To this day, there is not one crack in the ceiling or walls from "settling." That alone tells a story of superiority.

After meeting with Frank we immediately knew that he would be the best contractor for the job. Frank responsiveness and attention to detail are just two of the qualities that make him top notch. We completed a great room and dining room remodel and thoroughly enjoy our new space. Frank's crew are very professional and easy to work with as well . Frank and his team made living through a remodel a non-issue, closing off the rooms to the rest of our living space and making sure things were cleaned up at the end of each day. We look forward to our next remodel project with Frank.

I have used Makoski Construction and Remodeling for several projects at my home, I have never been less than thrilled with the outcome. For a total remodel of my kitchen, Frank and his architect developed a gorgeous plan and an excellent use of the space. Frank is always on top of his projects. His crew is on time, neat, detailed and extremely competent. Frank is knowledgeable about all aspects of construction. He offers suggestions to enhance any project and he notices details that need to be taken care and always are. I have used Makoski for inside and outside work. After 15 years of my trying , his crew was able to repair my garage so that it no longer leaks. I recently completed my first floor remodel. With a couple of Frank's suggestions, crown molding and hardwood floor, the sun room now looks like it belongs in the house (no longer a poor cousin) and enlarges the look of the first floor. Makoski construction's work is superb!

We hired Makoski Construction and Remodeling to redo our home which was built initially in 1945. Services rendered included tearing down approximately a third of our house and building an addition in its place. Among the projects this entailed were completely redoing and enlarging our kitchen including adding granite counter tops, creating a laundry room/pantry, building a large dining room adjacent to the kitchen, creating a first floor master bedroom, remodeling our two bathrooms including adding granite countertops, converting an upstairs bedroom into a study with built in cabinets, greatly enlarging our basement and creating a wine cellar, adding a new large attic, building an additional one car garage, and redoing our back porch. Frank and his men were extremely professional throughout the entire project. Frank and his team were highly skilled and well organized. All of our deadlines were met in a timely manner. We love our "new" home!

We spent a good couple years working with Frank Makoski to design and build our very large dream house on a very difficult parcel of land. As a designer, artist and control freak, I have the potential to be the client from hell, which is why our choice of builder was so important. I didn't want to spend years of my life being frustrated and told my wonderful ideas wouldn't work. I could not have asked for a better partner in creating our beautiful home than Frank Makoski and his hard-working, professional team of architect, craftspeople, artisans and engineers. From start to finish, I felt completely comfortable discussing my often difficult to execute design ideas, and I was never told that something wasn't possible. He welcomed me into the process as a fellow professional with design needs and wants and we truly worked together without a single…and I mean really, without a single…situation where he was not completely accommodating. The end result is a gorgeous home that still makes my heart sing when I look at a particular piece of molding that I drew the design for and the carpenters made work, or an antique newel post that I found in a barn in New Hampshire and the craftspeople built into our staircase. And each day, I thrill at the genuine post and beam ceilings Frank found artisans to build into our suburban home. That's what I told Frank I wanted, and he found artisans who were able to create these amazing beams that had thus far, only lived in my imagination. So many amazing specifics and customizations in our house, the list is extensive. And, the times where design wasn't the issue, I was very confident leaving structural and building issues to Frank's expertise, knowing that he had the expertise and would build a house with strength, solidity and absolutely unequaled quality. I cannot say enough wonderful things about the entire building process with Makoski Construction, from start to finish, it honestly was pure pleasure!

I would not do a job in my home without Frank Makoski. Whether it was remodeling my kitchen or master bath, he created gorgeous spaces beyond my wildest dreams. Not only are my kitchen and bathroom beautiful, but they function better than I could have imagined increasing storage with latest solutions, pull out drawers, decorative details. Frank is the ultimate contractor, builder.

Remove walls and remodel oak stairs from main living area to 2nd floor. Makoski Construction did an excellent, professional job in a timely manner. Their quality of work was top notch and we would highly recommend them for any construction project.

I had many small annoying problems. Drippy shower head, Jacuzzi vanity mirror replacement, closet door issues... Frank made sure each issue was addressed and completed. I had tried other construction companies for the same issues. No one got the fix completed properly.

Frank does a perfect job, When completed, which is always on time, our house looks perfect. His staff are very respectful and excellent. We would not use any other contractor.
