Joseph Malcarne opened Malcarne Contracting on April 26th, 1996. Starting with renovation projects, the company grew to handle increasingly complex projects, including all phases of renovation, additions, gut rehabs, modulars, energy audits and energy work and new construction. Today, Malcarne Contracting is one of the largest construction companies in the Hudson Valley. Our Team consists of some of the most talented, highly skilled craftsmen around. The office motto is, “Work. Productivity. Fun.” Their work ethic, knowledge and character is unsurpassed by any construction team in the area. So, we’re planning to keep them. We were looking for a kitchen remodel, opting for cabinets and a tiled backsplash. With limited light in our small kitchen, we were hesitant about going all white, but the team assured us. They expertly balanced white cabinets with a mid-tone countertop and white subway tiles. The result? A bright, spacious-feeling kitchen that's a joy to be in. Their attention to detail and ability to maximize light while maintaining functionality was impressive. We couldn't be happier with the outcome. We are very happy with Malcarne - they are super professional and courteous, and the series of teams who came to do each phase of our project were each very skilled and hard working. We found that Malcarne takes seriously the customer's perspective and they work hard to ensure that every detail is addressed as promised. The exterior of our project (a new addition to our house) is seamless - you literally can't tell what it is new and what is existing - and the quality and craftsmanship of the inside carpentry work (trim, etc) is spectacular. It is evident that Malcarne takes pride in their work and they demonstrated great professionalism and integrity when working with us. We have several additional renovation projects on our radar and expect to hire Malcarne again in the future - highly recommend.

We turned an unfortunate experience into a positive one! In March 2018,we experienced a snow and wind storm that resulted in a very large tree crashing into our home. Fortunately, no one was hurt. My husband was home at the time, due to the weather. As immediately as possible, we had the tree removed. Within two days of calling Malcarne Construction, Joseph the owner arrived to access the damage. He was very professional, polite and understanding of what was necessary to repair, and have our home restored to where it was, and safe. Malcarne employees are great at what they do. Truly fantastic customer service. The office staff,Nevien,and Carol were always a pleasure to speak with. Joseph was always available to take our questions on his cell phone, day or night. I would recommend their services, and hope to use them in the future…this time, not for storm damage! Thanks,Joe!

We hired Malcarne Const. to update our very dated bathroom. We found the design ideas on Houzz and Malcarne Const was able to deliver a beautiful bathroom within the budget and timeline we were expecting. We had one small problem with grout and they had a workman come out that day to resolve the issue. Everyone we worked with was professional and courteous. I was nervous about having strangers in the house with our young son, but there were no issues whatsoever. I would hire them again, without hesitation, for any other improvements that the house needs.

Malcarne Contracting built a childcare room and a stage for my Aerobics studio quickly and efficiently! The workers were very thorough and everyone was pleasant and professional. Even though it was a drive for them, they got the work done in two days with no complaints! They even stuck around to help put in my aerobic flooring! Great company, great people, great service. I highly recommend them!

There are less expensive contractors out there, but few are as thoroughly knowledgable about building technology (esp. solar, energy efficiency, etc) as Joseph Malcarne. Also, there were some minor issues - all of which he addressed very promptly. His follow-up is exceptional.
