Matrix Basement Systems Did a fantastic job on finishing our new construction walkout basement. Our construction project manager, Ben Gibbons, was very responsive and provided updates throughout, including scheduling and overseeing code inspections and sharing photos. All the construction personnel were truly excellent in their fields, and many of them sought permission to work on the weekends and then actually did work sometimes on Saturdays or Sundays. As with any project ever undertaken in the history of earth, there were some glitches, but they were addressed in a timely manner, and did not derail the project or the timeline. The scope of the project included putting in a full bathroom and kitchen with a wet bar and peninsula, and these areas turned out perfectly (along with everything else). We can’t wait to entertain in our new space. We also love the open, black painted ceiling, so we always have access to that area, and it looks really cool! We would definitely recommend using Matrix to manage and perform basement finishing from start to finish.

Just finished up a basement project with Matrix. Start to finish was a simple process. Our PM (Ben Gibbons) was great, and responsive to all our questions and concerns. All of the contractors were professional and did a great job.

We had Matrix finish the basement at our previous home about 10 years ago and they did an excellent job. When we moved into a new home with an unfinished basement we decided to give Matrix a call and once again the work they did was amazing. The project plan was detailed and updated immediately using the BuilderTrend app. The schedule was followed very closely which put our mind at ease because we did not have to wonder which contractor was working on a particular day. Each contractor was polite, answered all the questions we had and did their best not to disrupt us when we were home. Tying everything together was Ben Gibbons, our excellent project manager. He made regular progress checks to our home during the project and handled issues quickly and to our satisfaction. The basement turned out great and we could not be happier with the end result. If we move into a third home that needs a finished basement, Matrix will be our first call!

After spending a good amount with a different contractor to remodel our main floor, we had to settle with the fact that a basement remodel was likely not in our short term plans. However, after taking a meeting with Matrix, we were pleasantly surprised that a substantial remodel was not out of the question after all. We were honestly so focused on the fact that something could get done that we didn’t nit pick on the finishes and some of the details, but wow were we impressed by the quality and workmanship of the end product. The project managers (we had Ben) do everything that’s needed to keep on schedule, but rest assured this does not mean that any shortcuts of any kind are taken. The sub-contractors used are simply amazing, and seem motivated to do whatever is needed to keep Matrix and the customers happy. Overall, we couldn’t be more pleased with how everything turned out!

Overall I’m happy with the project and how it turned out. I loved the design process from layout and picking the finishes as it helped take decisions off my plate. The system they use to document scope, timeline and budget was helpful. The contractors for each of the areas were great to work with. I felt all of them cared for my basement as if it was their own. This to me was the difference maker. Things came up and they communicated and we worked it out. Finally our GC was good when I was working with him. He advised me when I needed it and I felt like he looked out for my best interest. Only issue - he’s on a lot of jobs - I think they need to figure that part out so he can spend more time with clients as he’s extremely knowledgeable.

They did great work and were always on top of things. The basement looks great and we are excited to start using it!

We had a large fully unfinished basement and Matrix transformed it into a beautiful fully finished basement and bath with a fireplace in just 7 weeks. Ben, our project manager, was the best part of it all. He was present, knowledgeable, and quick to address any little bumps that popped up along the way. Overall, the experience with Matrix was great. Special shout out to Oscar and his partner as they did fantastic carpentry work, Bobby and his partner were great with electrical & Jorge and his team were phenomenal with all the drywall. A few hiccups along the way as a potential code issue wasn’t identified nearly as early as it should have been, however, Jackie and Ben were able to put our mind at ease if anything arose from inspections. Ben and Jackie were great with communication throughout the process, never going more than 24 hours without a response. A carpet installation up charge was disappointing as it wasn’t known about ahead of time and didn’t appreciate the carpet installation owner insulting me after having just met me 10 minutes prior, but I can’t fault Matrix for that. It’s worth noting though that the carpet installation crew themselves were great - would certainly recommend Matrix to others but with any company improvements in certain areas are needed.

Our home was purchased as new construction and completing the unfinished basement seemed overwhelming. After a neighbor had a great experience with Matrix, we explored working with them, took the plunge and are grateful that we did. Matrix provided us with a “One-Stop-Shop” for a very complicated project. Their in-house design team started with our ideas and then came back with recommendations that improved the outcome. The project management team kept all of the trade teams moving like an orchestra conductor, kept us informed throughout the project and effectively dealt with the inevitable “curve-balls” that arose. Bottom-line, I would work with Matrix again and will recommend them to family and friends.

Our experience with Matrix was good. We had a basement that needed demo but was mostly bare concrete floor and walls. Construction went smoothly and each trade cleaned up the job site daily. Overall communication with this company was good. Any issues were handled thru email via the Builders app and were responded to within a reasonable timeframe. We had our basement done by Matrix basements and we were very happy with the process start to finish. Victor was our project manager and he was great. He called us and kept us up to date on everything that was happening and stopped by quite a bit to check on things. Matrix has an app for your phone with a calendar which shows you exactly what days workers will be in and they stayed on schedule. The app also shows you your payments and has all your documentation included. All the guys who came here to work were very polite, professional, clean and did great work. I recommend them!

An excellent basement contractor. I have a background in construction having been a CFO for contractors. I knew what to expect from a good contractor. From the initial proposal through the completion of the work Matrix was good to their word and completed things according to schedule. Every milestone and deadline has been met. The app that they use for scheduling and tracking progress with photos makes the process seamless and facilitates good communication with the construction team and you as the owner's representative throughout the construction period. The schedule was created with time contingencies in mind, meaning for example, they scheduled 2 days for completion when it actually took just one day for a particular item. This was a buffer and it succeeded in keeping the project on time

Great experience overall. You get what you pay for with a service like Matrix. I am not in construction, and I paid for peace of mind for my basement project. I got more than I expected since Matrix coordinated the permit process, all of the materials procurement, all of the tradesmen that came through, the logistics of material delivery, material movement into the space from the delivery trucks, the city inspections, and likely a hundred other activities and decisions that must be made along the way. I didn't have to do any of that, which was a great weight off my shoulders. From the start. all the trades that came through were on time, with Matrix uniforms and tarps to protect flooring. It was clear that each trade was professional and adept at their work. I was impressed by each one, the attention to detail and the thoroughness. I liked the way the project was managed. I was provided access to a portal that contained a detailed schedule of work, a place to make payments, a place to send messages to the Matrix team and a place where the trades uploaded photos of the progress. The work was assigned a Project Manager that became my central contact, which was great. Any question or concern that came up, I took it up with him. If the trades had a question or concern, they took it up with him. That made for a very smooth process overall. I didn't have any issues throughout the work and that is because I received timely communication of any changes in the schedule or anything else that came up. From my part, I made an effort to do the same; to communicate my needs and questions. I am very happy with the final result and I have peace of mind that it is done correctly and to code. I don't anticipate any problems with the work and I look forward to using the space for years to come.

I have nothing but great things to say about our experience working with Matrix Home Solutions. The process was smooth from the very beginning. Everything went up very quickly and we are very happy with the speediness and quality of the work. Gerardo was one of the hardest workers I’ve ever seen not only with this project but in general. He came to do the walls, doors, trim, etc. He went above and beyond what we could have imagined. Gerardo was very clear on what his plans were for his work, gave me education on what looks best based on his experience, and always encouraged us not to be shy about pointing things out if they needed to be touched up because he truly wanted customer satisfaction (even if it created more work for him.) Finally, Rick the field manager! Rick was amazing to work with! He was always looking out for the best interest of the customers. Rick came frequently to check status of the project while ensuring everything was meeting our desires. Rick was always clear on communication and getting back to us with whatever questions we had. He was very dependable and always went above and beyond in his work. He was flexible with and changes we threw at him and always encouraging us to share our thoughts. Rick is incredibly professional, has a lot of knowledge, experience, and thought outside of the box. I also appreciate that he was able to look at things and catch the original plans and how it may impact our home life moving forward. For example, thinking about us and how we would move furniture back into the living space and offering to order a wider door to make our lives easier to do that. Rick was always looking to make things better and more efficient. There were things that Rick did not have to do for us but was more than willing and we truly could not have asked for a better filed manager to work with. Rick, our project manager, was fantastic for our basement project. He checked in frequently via visits to the site, texts & calls & responded to any questions we had quickly as well. We had things we didn’t think of until the project was going & he made adjustments with no complaints. The company that built our house messed up a lot when they were building & just about every subcontractor found something that wasn’t built or done correctly - they fixed all of them. Any hiccups in the schedule were resolved quickly. All the subcontractors cleaned up well after themselves. They also painted the walls coming out of the basement that got scratched/scuffed up during construction. We’re going to use matrix in the future for any remodeling needs upstairs!

The basement of our dreams has become a reality. It could not have happened without the expertise of Matrix. Carpenters Neil and Grant were amazing and went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. They were easy to work with and helped explain everything. Just make sure you review all designs as we had a bit of back and forth around a difficult bathroom layout, but the end result speaks for itself.

Matrix Solutions finished a portion of my basement. From the beginning to the finshed product, the work was well done and in a timely manner. Everyone was very professional and worked so hard. Considering the amount of work done, the cleanup left the basement looking beautiful. The Assistant Production Manger, Jackie Burgos and Ben Gibbons, who coordinated and scheduled the work, were both very helpful during the project. I'm glad I had them do the work it was painless and the result exceeded my expecations.

There are pros and cons with the companies, but overall not someone I would recommend based on end result quality at the end of the day. First, they have a very aggressive sales strategy where they come into your house and try to negotiate until a deal is made. It is basically a 'take the deal now, or we will walk method.' In this initial conversation, my sales representative, Hunter, basically made promises that were not kept. He told us that the basement stair railing would be replaced and that non-crown molding options are professional looking and standard with the black paint ceiling option we selected. Fast forward to the closing week of our basement, our project manager, Steve, stated the railing was never included and that he would just cover it with wood filler - which I was willing to overlook. However, the painting was not included in our $30k project, so I had my own painters come in to finish the project. They pointed out that the top of our drywalls were not even, and they recommend this be fixed (as they have painted several basements and it is not standard). I contacted Steve and sent the attached pictures. He stated this is their standard quality of work and that if I wanted it fixed, I would have to pay money. This is entirely unacceptable after spending $30k on a project to be told 'this is our standard quality of work' and that we need to pay for them to fix it. At the end of the day, they want your money. You can review the pictures for examples of their 'standard quality of work.' This also includes them leaving trash in our basement and not installing door handles on the one closet we had. Go with another company.

I contracted Matrix to build a bathroom in my basement. I went over the area where I would like the bathroom to be installed with the initial floor plan manager. He gave me a time frame of a week to a week and a half. I figured given the issues with contractor supplies, it would take a little bit longer than that. It ended up taking just under five months total from product delivery to final inspection. I told them where I wanted the bathroom installed and went over the initial floor plans with Matrix. When it came to review the CAD drawings, they had the bathroom in a completely different location. There was some back and forth but they were able to relocate the bathroom to where I originally wanted it installed. I then sent them all products I would like installed in the bathroom so I could order them ahead of time. Matrix approved the products and said they would fit for the dimensions of the bathroom. When the plumber came to install the rough-in plumbing, he said the shower had order and got approved by Matrix would not fit. I had to re-order a new shower and equipment for the install. Throughout the duration of the project, Matrix constantly had to push back and change the timeline without any prior coordination. My family would have inspectors or contractors show up at unspecified times. It did get better after a few months of us asking for prior notice of when things were scheduled. The work done by the contractors was poor at best, except for the plumber. San Angelo Plumbing was great throughout the duration of the process. The outlets are off center. Sloppy finishing around the baseboards and drywall. They left a lot of drywall putty that stuck to the floors of the basement when they left. Matrix retrieved their leftover supplies but never cleaned up after the project was completed. The worst part about the whole process was that they charged out the loan account two months prior to the project being completed. I contacted the loan company who was able to put a hold on it so my payments would stop. The loan company tried multiple times to contact Matrix regarding the issue but they never received a response back. The pictures attached show the state of the bathroom when the account was charged out. They did end up fixing the issues but it took an additional two months to complete. I can understand things not getting done according to schedule but to charge out the loan account before the work is finished is completely unacceptable. Then to be unresponsive to the loan company is another major issue that is extremely unprofessional. I have never reviewed a company before but I had such a negative experience with Matrix, I felt obligated to try and dissuade anyone from using them in the future. If you were able to make it through this long post, please realize that there are better companies out there for the work that you need accomplished.

This Summer we lost my dad to his year long battle with lung cancer. Shortly after, my mother decided she wanted to expand and remodel the house like he had wanted to for years. She decided to go with Matrix. Little did we know, that would end up being a mistake. They started work in mid October. We were just having our basement refinished with a bedroom added. Well, the first red flag should’ve been the price they were giving us. 70,000$ to refinish the basement, redo a bathroom located down there, and add an additional room. It was only until after it was too late into the contract that we were informed just how much we were being overcharged by friends in this kind of business. So eventually we took out the bathroom project and it brought us to our current price: $56,500. This job should’ve been easy, right? Even with set backs, it was estimated 10-12 weeks according to the man we signed the contract with. We are now just about at that point and all that’s been accomplished is rough framing, rough electrical, and rough HVAC. Their scheduling is absolutely ridiculous and all they keep telling us is “oh, well set backs happen in construction“. The entire month of December, only one thing is being accomplished (foam insulation install). As well as January (Drywall install). It seems they’re only doing one little part of the project at a time, per month. We’ve tried reaching out to not only our project manager, but the higher ups in the company. Our project manager just tells us “Oh, that’s the soonest we can get those contractors in“. As for the higher ups, they have yet to even acknowledge us and our concerns. The main problem with this project is that it’s leaving one person camping out in a tent (for some semblance of privacy) in our front room, because that was their living space. And it’s really taking a toll on their mental health. Now they have no living space and the company just keeps delaying things far beyond what we were told. And they know this person is displaced. They don’t care. It’s now estimated that a 2.5 month project is going to take 5, being finally finished by March. If you guys were so overbooked, why not tell us that in the first place?

Matrix talked a good game and had a great presentation, but once they received the deposit there has been nothing but missed appointments, delayed construction, and zero communication or accountability. Everyone pawns off responsibility about things being missed on someone else, whenever I call in I have to call and talk to 3 different people who then give me 3 different answers, and the project manager has disappeared. While being similarly priced to competitors, Matrix said they could start and finish construction sooner than the others we received quotes from. It was THE main factor is us hiring them. Now with production delays and scheduling snafus they are on par with everyone else. I wish they would have been honest up front. They haven't started on the project, but they've been paid about half of what was quoted.

Excellent job, perfectly done, on time. The best painters and carpenters. Highly recommended they were always on time, always making their way in and out of the house without bothering. Great option.

Since they are are.late.on completion, no more contractors to.finish work on basement, as they are doing other projects now. So.basement is.late and they are making it even later by.sending.no.team to.finish work. Currently only supervisor is.finishing basement when he has time. Supervisor is.great and really.only positive thing.about Matrix. Tons of hidden costs as cost of basement went up from original agreement. They make changes to original agreement as they see fit without notifying you, unless.you catch it. $50k to install drywall, drop ceiling, new basement windows and stairs pretty.much. no bathroom install. This also doesn't include carpeting or.paint as.we are.doing.work ourselves to save on costs.

Planning: They are really good at planning the whole process. They deliver supplies on time. Pick up garbage on time. All the contractors show up when they are supposed to. That’s nice! Concerns: Sales process: Didn’t like the sales process. It’s vague. I didn’t feel we got the full disclosure always. This happened with a stair nosing issue. A manager at Matrix told me emphatically that there were no other options for stair nosing that is flush to the floor. I called the manufacturer and learned that they indeed had such an option. Matrix ended up putting in the flush stair bullnose Overall, just a few hiccups on a big project, on time, done with great care and quality. Highly recommend1

Steve the foreman was always a text away and communicated quickly. Sometimes there were delays but Project finished within a week of projected finish. Our basement was a poorly done DIY job by the past owners and as a result, it became more of a storage area than a living space. Matrix transformed the old basement into a new, warm and inviting living space that we know will become the favorite place for family and friends to gather. From start to finish, working with the Matrix team was a smooth and easy process. Our project manager, Ben, did an excellent job of keeping us informed every step of the way, answering our questions and making small adjustments to the plan on the fly. The craftsmanship by the framing, insulating, drywall, electrical, painting and finish carpentry crews was top notch. Our only regret is that we didn’t do this sooner. I highly recommend Matrix.

Went very well - they handled all of the work from start to finish including handling contractors. They were very flexible throughout the process in updating plans as issues came up (like when we realized the space at the bottom of the staircase would be too small to move furniture in, they helped rework the space to make it more open and roomy). I think it went very well and the finished product was delivered much earlier than expected and the quality of the work is very high.

We hired Matrix Basement Systems this summer to finish our basement. Dan Davis, the sales representative, does a very good job assuring you Matrix cares about communication, detail, and customer service. Three months later, I can safely say, none of that is true. Once we signed our contract, we were told we would have a foreman for our job that would be used to keep communication open. In addition, we were told about the " Builder Trend" app that we would be able use to keep up to date with project installments and deadlines. It all sounded so great. None of it is true. First, the Builder Trend app is NEVER accurate. The times are wrong, the dates are wrong, there is no follow through at all. We actually had a 14 day period in the middle of our project where we never saw one person- and the app showed the project should have already been completed. Unless you literally can make a full time job out of working around the installer's schedules (which is typically work for an hour or so and take off), I would highly recommend choosing a different company. We were told the project would take 2-3 weeks once it began. Jamie, our foreman, refused to return phone calls, returned text messages with false information and could really care less about the customer. I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy. Steer clear. UPDATE- I am attaching pictures that represent the appearance of my basement because I truly believe a picture speaks 1000 words.

Matrix did an amazing job finishing our basement! This was a long time coming and they listened and gave us there input on what we wanted/ needed. The schedule was on point and they did not stray away from it despite COVID. Our main contacts were with our GC Ben and Jay, which were very attentive and communitive. All the crews were all very respectful and did great quality work. I'd recommend this company to anyone looking to finish their basement.

Overall finished product is what was promised. We had some delays due to permit issues with the village, some of the subcontractors made a mess of the ceiling after it was finished, but all issues were addressed and fixed & the basement looks great.

Slow start after signing the contract due to COVID but the results were above expectations. Everyone who Matrix sent to work in my home was on-time, professional, and courteous. It was a pleasure working with the entire Matrix team from when they drafted the proposal all the way to close out. They provided great quality work, great value, and the team was extremely responsive. If I had to add ONE negative comment, it would be that they didn’t do the greatest job with site protection. Only some of their trades laid down floor protection in the finished areas of my house where they had to walk through. My basement doesn’t have a door that connects to the rest of the house (it’s a split level house), so dust got everywhere until I put up a tarp myself. But all the actual work they performed in the basement was extremely professional. I would ignore the other negative reviews because they all complain about the process before the job even starts, I would take the actual quality of their work more into consideration. Overall, I would highly recommend to friends and family.

We just completed having our basement remodeled with Matrix, everything went great. The work team was always on time and professional. Even when we did some of the work ourselves (painting and flooring), scheduling was no problem as they were very flexible. The project was initially delayed due to COVID but once we got going, it went very smooth. We especially loved the work completed with the new bathroom and black industrial ceiling painting! Would definitely recommend.

We were in need of a bathroom in the basement and so got a few quotes. Chris from Matrix Basement came for a quote and helped us in our situation. He designed and quoted a bathroom looking at our needs and situation for a great bathroom. Really helped us in finances in getting max discount and helped us secure financing. We went with them and continued with the project. Joe came in and helped us with design and making sure we get what we wanted for a custom bathroom. Then covid-19 came in but when lockdown was over Steve helped us as our project manager. Immediately resuming the project in a timely manner, brought in deliveries and started construction. Also making sure any damages were fixed and better than before. They completed the project on time without any delays. Brian food a great job with painting and installing. The team at Matrix Basement Systems did a great job and now we have a great bathroom in the basement in our time of need.

Matrix and their whole team was great to work with: everyone was very respectful and efficient, and we hardly knew they were hard at work as our routines were barely interrupted. We had a great experience with Matrix Basement Systems. They just completed our basement and we are very happy with their work. Steve, our project manager, was great. He was very attentive, easy to get in contact with, always took care of any issues that arose quickly, even if it meant doing it himself, and was around frequently to ensure things were running smoothly. Wesley and his crew did a majority of the work in my basement. They did a great job painting the basement ceiling, installing the crown and trim, installing the cabinets, creating a full bathroom, and a little playroom for the kids. We are very satisfied with our basement.

I would highly recommend Matrix Basement Systems. Matrix basement was a great company to work with! Jordan (our salesman) spent 4 hours with us creating the floor plan. Steve was our go to once the project started and he was very approachable and helpful thru the whole project. The only thing I think I would change throughout their process is more so to walk a final layout with Steve as well that way there is no miscommunication. Martinez who was out drywall guy did a FAB job!

From the start, everything about Matrix was fantastic. Our initial sales consultation was smooth and quick. We had a few questions regarding different costs for different materials and configuration for our basement, and Jordan was able to show us those easily. We moved forward with what we felt was a very reasonable cost estimate for our basement, and that amount only changed when we made a slight modification. When they say the price you start with is what you pay, it’s a refreshing difference from some interactions with other contractors. We couldn’t have asked for a better project manager than Shawn. He was always a phone call/text away and made sure that we were kept in the loop every step of the way; even making sure to stop by any time that we had question about our project. Jose is a jack of all trades and did excellent work, from start to finish. Between Shawn and Jose, they always went above and beyond. Matrix transformed our unfinished basement from unusable blah to a beautiful fully functional recreation room, great for watching sports or entertaining friends. Our renovation included a wet bar with cabinets, bathroom, sprayed ceiling, tile floors, and crown molding...all in a timely manner. Our foreman, Steve T., did an excellent job scheduling all work activity, and keeping us informed. We are very pleased with the quality of work and the professionalism of the crew, as well. (A special shoutout to Martinez and Mary/Wes! )

We hired Matrix to finish our basement. From the beginning, their communication was excellent. We always knew who was coming and on which days to work. They were very responsive to any texts or emails. They quickly answered any questions and addressed any concerns we brought up throughout the entire project. The quality of the work was very good, with only a couple of small items that needed to be fixed in the final walk through. They were corrected immediately. The project finished close to the original timeline, the only delay coming when we had to wait for the city inspections. Overall, very happy with the entire project and with Matrix.

He was able to measure the basement and work up the pricing in one visit. He also made the meeting time convenient to me. Foreman – Shawn Sheedy 5 Stars. The basement work was outstanding by Matrix Basement. Shawn Sheedy was my foreman and did an outstanding job. There is a lot of coordination that goes on for his job, from the scheduling of the frame, electrical, plumbing, inspections, dry walling, painting, trim work and finish work. A lot of coordination that Shawn has drawn up in the Giga-byte memory of his (according to Shawn). Nothing was missed and nothing was out of sequence. From step A to Z, everything was done perfect. The crew that did my basement was Jose and his family. Unreal how good they are and how much of a perfectionist they are. They have every attention to detail and nothing was missed. Been looking to build a basement for a long time. Had an old couch and a TV in a cement floor, cement walls, dumping ground of old junk and out- grown children clothes and toys. We decided to just do an internet search on companies who could assist us with turning this into a 3-TV sports betting ground. The biggest challenge was I literally have no imagination for how things should look. Enter Matrix. Matrix sent over Dan Davis who sat with us and was very patient and literally ignored the embarrassing disaster we could not even hope to have ready before he arrived...We had barely made a dent in cleaning it up but he acted as if it was no big deal and started getting measurements helping us make suggestions on what we could roughly do with the space with the basic goals we wanted for what price. Dan passed us off to Shawn Sheedy, our contractor who worked for Matrix, as all the employees do (not subbed out). Shawn is down to earth, a real person, ALWAYS willing to take your call (even when out of town) and willing to confidently offer his word on what he is going to do, and more importantly when, and he's even willing to shoot you straight when he can't. Shawn is experienced with a creative background in building Detroit Auto show displays, blunt in a hilarious way which makes you feel at ease, but really knows how to use his talents and they people's around him to get the job done. I literally had no idea what I wanted and he extracted broken thoughts of what I was looking for from my head to help me work with Best Buy's Geek Squad (who he happen to know from running into at other jobs) to accomplish something I am very proud to show off. I trusted strangers daily in my home and they really earned. I can't go without mentioning one guy named Tom that Shawn sent over who really reflects what any company would be proud to have. Tom is clearly passionate about his work. He does not rush to do things the most convenient way, he has a strong attention to detail and listening. You would be foolish not to hire this company. They will help you even get it financed. Im literally sitting on the floor of my new carpet really happy I made the call.

We waited a long time to do our basement as it was a big project. I received multiple quotes and proposals prior to making a contractor decision - I also did a lot of research around reputation, customer feedback, reviews, etc. We chose Matrix - they were competitive from a pricing perspective, and overall I just felt best about them. We couldn't happier with the decision. I had folks come through mid-project to provide third-party feedback on their quality - top-shelf across the board. They didn't try to nickel-dime us - overall I felt the process was fair and they worked hard to take care of us. The project manager Mark was awesome - would recommend him to anyone. We love our new basement :) It's functional now and absolutely beautiful. Whenever we had a concern about something during the construction, they addressed it. Extremely impressed with some of the folks Matrix has working for them: the young man who painted the ceiling was one of the hardest working people I've ever met, he worked evenings and even on Sat. & Sun to complete the job. He was very dedicated & professional. The men who put up the drywall also worked late into the evening. The project manager worked hard to ensure we were happy with the final project. However it was the sales person who sold us - he was friendly, low pressure and genuine. We would recommend Matrix to anyone :)
