As someone who was in the construction industry in the Tampa Bay area for over ten years, I witnessed a full variety of contractors working in new construction and remodeling. While there are many good contractors in the area (and some that are not so good), I chose McClure Contracting for one key reason- their customers seemed happy! I didn’t see the disagreements between Kevin and his homeowners that I frequently saw with other contractors. Once my wife and I hired Kevin, we found out why he has happy customers. First and foremost is he honest and he cares about the end result of the renovation. He is a hands-on owner that holds his employees and subcontractors accountable to perform excellent work beyond just what is acceptable to the homeowner. There were several instances when he was walking the project and found imperfections that neither my wife nor I had seen. Subsequently, he would require the subcontractor to come back and correct the work to his standards. While Kevin was the primary reason we went with McClure Contracting, he is not the only reason we were happy with our renovation. Before the project ever started, Kevin and Joni visited our home and listened to what my wife and I wanted, and then Joni went to work designing our project to perfectly meet our needs. And once construction started, Reggie (our Construction Manager) worked diligently to keep the project moving at a steady pace. As we were still living in our home during the renovation, Reggie was very respectful of our privacy and property, and ensured that the subcontractors had that same respect. All in all, we had high expectations from McClure Contracting and they actually exceeded those expectations. My wife and I can now be added to Kevin’s list of happy customers!

Kevin McClure installed a balcony for me. It was complicated as he had to replace the roof and make sure the system he installed would not leak. It looks great! He and his crew did an excellent job and I would definitely use him again for remodeling needs. He was very professional, the quality of the work was excellent and the project came in a little under budget.

I purchased a gulf front home in Treasure Island, Fl. back in April 2014. The house needed a total transformation. I hired a project manager who hired McClure Contracting. The goal was to provide a major facelift of the home. I also asked McClure Contracting to create a “wow” factor to the house as I was planning on renting the house as an investment through a property management firm. The planning, quotes and execution were flawless. Kevin kept me posted to all costs and provided great options for spend. The entire house was renovated on time and within budget but the wow factor exceeded expectations! The first floor leading to the pool was totally renovated, creating a lanai with a game room, entertainment area, fridge, grill etc. Retractable shutters allow privacy or opened, providing a beautiful view of the Gulf of Mexico. The rest of the house was upgraded and modernized perfectly! I can’t say enough of the fantastic job Kevin and Joni did with this property. I would definitely use them again on another project.

As a subcontractor for over 20 years I have worked with over a hundred contractors and Kevin McClure is easily one of my favorite contractors to work with. He is terrific on many fronts, design, communication, professionalism of staff members and very important to me - scheduling. I always look forward to working on any of his projects.

But with the help of Mrs Joni Reese from his team with whom I had worked closely enough so she knew my tastes, that bathroom was done beyond my expectations. The efficiency of the whole McClure team is commendable, the invoices were clear and no details were overlooked. Clever suggestions have been made to me all the way along the project. After sale service has been exceptionally good, Mr Kevin McClure himself looked after little details that needed to be addressed. In a word, I have been enchanted to do business with McClure contracting inc and I highly recommend them, they are the best.

They did excellent work, They were Professional, on time and left the project as clean as when they arrived. I would highly recommend them as a contractor.

McClure Contracting is the best choice I could have made for my extensive remodel. From design and planning to implementation, every step has been well executed. Kevin, the owner of the company, is very hands on and has an excellent crew to accomplish remarkable work.
