Richard and his team are the best in the business here in Austin. After having a terrible experience with a bad contractor, Richard came in and fixed alot of my issues. His team also helped when I had a pipe burst in my garage from the freeze and gave me a whole new garage. They were quick, thorough and detailed in their work and the communication was amazing. I always knew when people were showing up and always knew what was happening. That kind of communication was so important to me because I work from home and manage quite a bit. Being able to plan ahead and get detailed communication was amazing. I won't go to anyone else here in Austin after working with Richard and his team. They are the best in terms of quality and communication.

A huge thank you to Richard McDonell and the Mint Builders team for creating the kitchen of my dreams— really the downstairs of my dreams. It’s so much more than I ever thought it could be and I am so happy with it. I actually did a happy dance when I used our pot filler for the first time! Going into this process I had heard nothing but horror stories about remodels and working with contractors but you all handled everything so well— from communication, to ideas, to honest feedback and the pushing, when needed. The whole team (from contractors, designers, painters, etc) executed the job wonderfully! I am so grateful for you all and I know it truly takes an incredible team to accomplish these types of things and I am super grateful for your guys’ team!

Over the years, we have looked to Mint Builders for three projects from a multi-room renovation in our prior condo to a master bathroom *transformation* in our new house to our latest project where they helped us create turn our unused garage into a beautiful, light-filled one-bedroom studio. Every time we have worked with them; we have been impressed by the quality of their work, communications, and respect for the fact that they were in our home! If you have a chance to work with Mint, I can confidently say you'll be hugely impressed!

Working with Mint Builders was amazing. I hear so many horror stories of others who used different contractors and they are always jealous when we tell them about how great and easy it was to work with Mint. The level of professionalism, details and quality work they provide is unmatched. They were honest from the start, always setting clear expectations. They also listened to us and helped us with some creative problem solving to achieve our end goals with our renovation. They also stopped us from making some design mistakes. I felt they were really invested in making us happy with the end project and being an expert consultant. I was able to fully trust their project management services (which is a big deal as a project manager and slight control freak myself). It was extremely valuable having the peace of mind that everything was being handled to my own high quality standards. They also held true to their warrenties, no questions asked. Working with Mint Builders was fantastic. Our home was built in 1978 and had a lot of quirks from the time. Other contractors had given us astronomical bids or told us that what we wanted could not be done. Richard had not only worked on a similar house to ours (love Mint's experience and expertise!) he was thoughtful with the bid and really worked with us within our budget. He took the time to help us understand where costs would come from and what changes we could make that wouldn't sacrifice on our vision for our first floor. Mint's customer service is truly unparalleled. Richard was on site with our project every week and our project manager, Josh, was there every day we had someone working on our home. Vivian worked so hard to get us the materials we wanted at the right price. I spent the summer working with her looking at what the designer had chosen and alternatives that she had found for major savings without sacrificing quality or the designer's vision. Richard treated us like a family member. We have to tackle our second floor next and we absolutely will work with them again. I will not let anyone but Mint touch our home in the future! we had Richard and team at Mint Builders help us out for a kitchen tile backsplash demo and installation of Moroccan zellige tile. We were very impressed with their communication, cleanliness, and quality job. It was a smaller project for them (3 days) but was still handled with a lot of care and thought. I was really impressed with their containment during the demo and installation of new backer board. We were able to use out kitchen at the end of each work day and they had cleaned up. The finish result was perfect. These zellige tile can be a little harder to instal given the handmade nature/imperfections in each tile. The team did a great job there. Look forward to using Mint on other larger projects...highly recommend!

I highly recommend Richard and the rest of the Mint Builders Team! I recently worked with them to add a covered patio and an outdoor kitchen onto my house, which greatly exceeded my expectations. From the very first meeting with Richard, I knew I was in good hands as he paid close attention to detail and spent the time with me to help design the addition before breaking ground. He had many great recommendations that helped make the patio even better while not exceeding the budget. Throughout the job, Richard closely monitored the progress to ensure the job was done right and was very communicative and easy to work with. Every one of his sub-contractors that came out to the house were courteous, easy to work with, and did excellent work. I would definitely use Mint Builders again in the future and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a high-quality renovation done on budget.

We had the privilege of working with Mint on our kitchen expansion. I was impressed with every single individual that I interacted with from Richard, who oversaw the project, to the designer, to the installers. Each and every one of them were so professional and courteous. They took the time to inspect their work and make sure everything was buttoned up before they would leave. Their work is equally as amazing as the team. The results of our project ended up being even more beautiful than I could have imagined. We'll absolutely be using them for future projects!

We are happy with our new bathroom. Nick managed the job great from start to finish and paid such attention to detail.
