OMG Remodeling & Renovations

I would never recommend these people. They wanted me to pay money to them before the brick job was finished. They never finished the job. I still have cracks all over the brick work that will cost me hundreds to rejob out. They lied about the time frame and always had an excuse as to why they could not come out. They are terrible with communications and never answer the phone. Only text. Not professional. He told me thing about working other jobs and how reliable they are but when I needed them to finish the job, they are no where to be found.

We hired OMG for remodeling our home and from beginning to end it was more than we expected. With so many different options, Margarita was very helpful in guiding our dream. Oscar and his team came in and quickly and efficiently worked hard to bring it all together. We are very happy with the workmanship and quality of work. We love our home's new look! Our highest recommendations for this team of people!!

I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone! We hired OMG to remodel our home. Every room needed work from paint to cabinets. We chose OMG for the job. Oscar promised this is what he does and they've done numerous remodels in Highland Park and other affluent areas. What a con artist! He started our job on April 25th and said it would be done quick. As we watched the process nothing was being done right. His guys were making our kitchen cabinets on site using a jigsaw! Every cabinet company we have used in the past used a table saw and built them off site. They used our garage as their workshop. We had to park all our cars in the street while they used our driveway and garage. They installed a brand new door in the master bedroom and when they were done it looked like they found it at the dump. They painted the walls of 5 out of 11 of the rooms and got paint on our daughters sheets, chair and lamp shade. Then they painted the ceilings which splattered paint back on the walls which were just painted. They installed new toilets, but after 6 weeks of being here we noticed the toilets were leaking at the base. We mentioned these issues multiple times to Oscar and he said he'd fix them... Over the 5th weekend my husband and I had taken to painting and correcting our built-ins which OMG was supposed to do. When Oscar arrived on week six to show his workers what they'll be doing that day I think he thought we hired someone else to do some work and he became upset. He called my husband a mother f***er and said we were going behind his back to get other bids. He then pulled his guys off the job and said he was done. Unfortunately, we paid him $25,000 for work that wasn't even 30% complete. He then said that "when the money stops rolling, I stop working". We couldn't believe it! This is the 8th remodel we've done from other homes and NEVER has a contractor ever asked for so much in the first few days of starting a job. We paid him $6,000 every week for the first 4 weeks and he kept wanting more! Completely unprofessional. He should be in jail!

I hired OMG for a retaining wall project. I would not recommend them to anyone for any project. The project was to take one week to complete and OMG started on 4/17/17. They were hired to demo the old retaining wall along the side and back of the home and install a new retaining wall with center block cement and stucco. They were also hired to power wash my fence and stain the fence. They took out the old wall, started the cement blocks in the back and never came back. The fence along the side of the house is not being supported in any way so it is leaning and looks like it is about to collapse. All the dirt they removed from the side and placed in my neighbor's yard created a mess on her side yard which my fence is on and the removal of the dirt has created a dam against my neighbor's wall and could potentially flood her home if we have heavy rains. OMG is negligent in their work and lack professionalism. I provided them with one final opportunity to finish the work but never heard from them. I strongly urge anyone looking at this site NOT to hire them.

OMG is top notch. They are reasonable, reliable, good communicators, perfectionists and HARD workers. In addition I found them to be very trustworthy....which is very important to me when I have people working around my home. I have hired them twice so far and will call them for all my remodeling and renovation needs.
