We added an addition to our house to be able to live on one level. It included a bedroom, a large bath, walk in closet and a laundry room. There were lots of small and large details and construction challenges. We had a great experience with Ostmo. Jane was our construction manager and with Pim was our site manager. Both of these people were attentive, knew when we needed to order things so they were here in time and monitored the progress closely. They did everything we wanted, everything they promised on time, with attention to detail and at the cost that they quoted, even saving us money here and there. Pim was here almost every day, made numerous suggestions on the way about things could be a little better or enhance the project and was there seemingly at our beck and call during the entire process. All the subcontractors were very professional, impressively skilled and had to solve some very difficult design and material issues. Since we were able to still live in the house during the construction we got to know many of them personally. Our experience with Ostmo exceeded our expectations for a general contractor in every way and we can’t recommend them highly enough.

We have worked with Erik on many projects over the years and can say with confidence that his integrity and professionalism are unwavering. Ostmo construction was involved in a major remodel of an 1984 home including kitchen, three bathrooms, the master bedroom, removal of a stair case and replacement with a new floating one, living room, dining room,and entry way, elevator, new furnace/ac, new decking--it took more than 9 months to complete. I mention all this because, it was not simple, required an architect, many subs and much coordination. The crew was highly professional, competent and communicated well throughout. The owner, Erik Ostmo, is a master organizer and leader. Nothing was impossible, no job left undone or too small; he is a great person. He managed the budget well--on time and on schedule--the change orders were accomplished smoothly and without any problem regardless of the complexity of the task.We can recommend him and his company without any reservations... get on his schedule and be patient--they are in high demand--deservedly so... despite the time to complete this difficult remodel, we remain good friends.. Go for it!

Erik is by far one of the most professional contractors I had the pleasure of working with throughout several remodels in my home. Erik is intelligent, organized and direct while also being thoughtful and thorough. He has high standards for himself, his team and the work completed. What stood out the most to me about Erik was the fact that while maintaining a high level of professionalism and drive, he was also extremely charismatic and a joy to work with. Despite one or two additions on my end, our projects (which included a 600-foot addition, kitchen, laundry, and three bathroom remodel) were completed in a timely matter. We had an excellent experience working with Erik Ostmo and his crew. Our project involved the addition of a sunroom and below grade wine cellar to a beautiful 1960's house. Before my husband and I knew Erik professionally, we knew him personally. Once we decided to remodel our home, we knew Erik would be our #1 guy.
