PBC Design + Build

PBC Design + Build recently finished building our dream home in Airlie @ Wrightsville Sound, and we couldn't be more impressed. The two things that stand out the most about this builder are their excellent communication and their attention to detail. From day one we had regular meetings and updates, starting with our first design meeting with Dave and his team, all the way through construction and working with Ryan, Kelsey, Chris and the rest of the team. They answered every question and kept us informed as things progressed. We have built several homes in the past, and as a realtor I have worked with numerous builders over the years, and I can honestly say this project has been a pleasure. The quality is unsurpassed, and I highly recommend PBC to anyone considering building.

Signed contract in April 2021. Started June 1st 2021. Now June 2022, Still waiting for power from duke energy. For anyone else out there doing a new construction please understand duke energy is slow, Do yourself a favor and make sure to get your electrical meter box w up front especially if over 400 Amp. Also have them set up power with duke energy during pre construction. You will thank me. Full review to follow once finished. All the work done by the subs looks pretty good. PBC Design + Build are one of the best. We’ve built two homes with them and always enjoy the collaborative relationship during the process and ultimately the gorgeous home. They stand behind their work and quality.

12 months into the building process. Waiting till they are finished to leave final review. 3100 square foot house in wrightsville beach. Will weir is our Project manager and john Jarvis is on team. Never met owner.

This is a great team of dedicated professionals who were committed to delivering the house that we designed with them. We felt fully supported throughout the design, selection, and construction phases. PBC's people are great communicators, and are thoughtful and detail oriented. Even though we knew the design inside out, watching the house being built, and now living in it, we see that their collective efforts produced a remarkable result. We couldn't be happier.

We have a 1960s ranch home that we wanted to update to an open concept design, enlarge our former kitchen, put in new hardwood floors and change an attached garage into a den and separate laundry room. My husband and I were very happy with the results that Plantation Building Corp achieved. Libby and the designer were very accommodating and communicated with us often on different stages of the remodel. They were both great to work with and had helpful suggestions throughout the process. We would highly recommend Plantation Building Corp. to others. My husband and I are currently thinking of putting a bedroom addition onto our house and we plan on contacting Plantation when we are ready to do this.

David, Kyle and the crew at Plantation Building Corp. built a house I designed in Landfall. They did a very nice job while rigorously holding the budget. Excellent communication with both the client and myself to deliver a great deal of value for their investment. Very satisfied clients.

We have been working with Plantation Buolding Corp. over the past few years on different projects. We have a decorative painting company and work with many builders and trades. Plantation Building is a superior building company. Their homes are unique, beautifully designed, and spectacular! Also, Plantation Building Corp is a pleasure to work with. My husband & I have nothing but the highest praise for Plantation Building Corp. Everyone including the owner, the building manager & the entire team have been great to work with. They are extremely knowledgeable in all areas of the building process & worked very hard to make this not only as easy as possible but also fun & exciting. They were extremely aware of our many desires & expectations & budget concerns. They worked to get us the best quality that we could afford. When we did have concerns about any area of the project, we had the ability to call, text, email or write our concern on co-constuct (computer program). We almost always had a response with in minutes. We also live on the coast on a tidal creek where the environment is very fragile & requires extra attention. They have gone out of their way to keep our creek safe from pollution & damage. They have also been very happy to take on special projects that were not in the original plans. One day the stone store which was moving called me on a Wednesday. They told me that the fountain which I had inquired about & had been in the ground there for several years could be mine for free if I could get it moved by the weekend. This would require draining it & dismantling all the flagstone from around it as well as the stone fountain itself-no easy job. I called my building manager. He & his masonry subcontractor were over to the stone place that day-dismantaling, marking & saving every piece of the fountain to be able to rebuild it at my new house. They perfectly reassembled it & made it even better. It is absolutely amazing! Also right at the end of our project they were finishing up the outdoor shower. The shower ended up being larger & placed in a slightly different place than the original plans had called for. We knew that the shower head was going to be placed a bit close to the shower door but decided that it would have to be okay. Our building manager saw this, unbeknown to us & had this changed. It required tearing out brick, relaying & insulating the shower line, cutting & replacing the brick. We had no idea that he was doing this but he just said that it wasn't right & needed to be done right! My husband had a motorcycle accident during the time why we were building & was laid up for a couple of months. The Plantation team were very concerned & helpful in many ways. I also had to be out of town for several weeks during this process & the building manager kept me informed of everything that was being done in my absence. He again called, texted & even used FaceTime to keep me totally informed & involved. Not only has the building manager gone above & beyond to help us but everyone on the team has also done this. This home has ended up absolutely beautiful - almost perfect! We consider this builder & his company to be good friends as well as the professionals that we hired to build our home. We trusted them & couldn't have asked a better experience. It has surpassed our expectations! And finally, even now when we have finished they have a great warranty plan to tie up any loose ends & anything which may have been overlooked. I have faith that they will keep their promises to us to insure our continued happiness with this house. They built the house for us but their care & concern was more like they were building it for themselves. They built more us than a house-they really built us a home! It was loved even before we moved in! Plantation Building Corp. was truly a great choice for my husband & I. We will always feel like we chose the "best"!

Plantation Building Corp has a can do attitude. Never once did they question or say that something could not be done. They took on a very complex engineer designed audio room in my home with confidence and enthusiasm. The online co-construct project documentation system that PBC utilizes made it so easy to track my project and stay in touch with everyone involved. Since I lived out of state during the build, this project management tool was essential. I would like to commend Plantation Building Corp for making this a very enjoyable experience. From the beginning to the end, I felt like I was part of a family who was taking part in building my dream home. I would personally like to thank Ben Kern, Will Hardgrove, Chrissy Bonney, Derrick Thompson, Angela Roseman, Doug Echols and Kyle Henry for building me a beautiful home that I will always cherish. They are all professionals at what they do and the level of customer service was first class.

This is the second home we built and the folks at Plantation were the best experience we had. We built the home without being on site and relied on their communication skills which were impeccable. Their advice and product knowledge was superb. Since it was a custom house their ability to discuss our needs and show us other methods and products was great. They did everything they said they would especially finishing the job on time. We had a time constraint as we had sold our existing home and they were on time even though the weather was uncooperative. The systems they install like Navien and NEXT were recommended and we have not regretted the advice. Very technically sophisticated and customer driven.
