We were introduced to Pete Celovsky by our architect. Initially, we were going to renovate the kitchen and replace the steel windows. However, as we progressed, it became apparent that this was going to be “down-to-the-studs” project. Pete integrated modern upgrades (hvac, electrical, plumbing) while preserving the home's integrity and our vision. We didn’t alter the footprint of the house but worked w/in its current structure which required someone to be creative and a problem solver. A testament to Pete’s creativity, expertise and dedication to his craft. The finished project preserved the modern mid-century aesthetic and elevated the home.

Pete’s team did an incredible job remodeling my 1908 four square house. The detail work required to keep the best of the old features was tedious including building wood trims to match the originals. They are excellent carpenters who were able to create old looking but new features.

Pete Celovsky (PCD Built) is the best! His qualities are numerous - excellent and thoughtful design ideas, along with skillful execution and attention to the smallest detail, culminate with your remodel plans being more than you could have hoped for. His professional communication before, during and after the project is excellent and you always feel like a priority. I can’t recommend him highly enough, if I could give more stars I would. The projects he completed: a new large multi level deck, a remodeled laundry room, and a revamped small bathroom. Each project came out even better than we had hoped for.

We hired Pete to design and build a substantial addition to our 100-year-old Seattle craftsman. Within just a few days we knew that we had hired the right person for the job. Pete's design skills and instincts were absolutely invaluable in creating an addition that blends seamlessly with our historic house. The project involved a sunroom addition off our kitchen and included many built-in furniture components, a full kitchen remodel, and a half bath. We absolutely love the space Pete created for us. Following the super results of that massive project, we have hired Pete again and again for additional remodeling projects. We have also recommended Pete to our neighbors who have used him for their remodeling projects. They too have rehired him for additional projects, again and again. The quality of Pete's work is phenomenal. His formal education in architecture and many years of experience are a huge asset to his clients. Pete is really fantastic about communicating throughout a process that can be very stressful for anxious clients, especially those who might be embarking on their first remodel. (That was the case with us). Integrity is another quality that we associate with Pete. No remodeling project happens without a few hiccups. You can count on Pete to always keep you informed, lay out all the options, and make it all right in the end. We live in Seattle, but also have a vacation home near Charleston, SC. Whenever we need work done on the Charleston house we are so sad that Pete can't fly out and do the work. Seriously. We've had to use other building contractors and never found anyone with the experience, skills, knowledge, fine craftsmanship at a reasonable price, integrity, and great communication that Pete offers.

I worked with Pete Celovsky Design on an expansion and front-facing remodel that included pushing out to the front of my property to create a new and improved entry way where there had been no formal one, a larger living room space with vaulted ceilings, and an expanded bedroom also with a vaulted ceiling. The exterior design with ironwood is breathtaking -- my house is known as the gem of the block. And the interior design is contemporary yet perfectly in alignment with the modern look of the rest of the house. It was great to work directly with Pete, and to see my ideas made better by his skills and creativity. I have recommended him to many people.

Pete did interior work for us. We started from brainstorming to completed project with no problem. Any challenges in terms of design were effectively handled and turned out just right. The project included re-design and remodel of an owners' bedroom, changing closet, dining area and office space. Pete was able to incorporate personal items (boards designed and built by grandparents from high school) right into the design and came up with handy solutions for things we didn't take into account at the beginning of the process. I would definitely hire Pete in the future and recommend him to anyone with a need for something personal and artistic.

Pete is a fantastic blend of strengths, highly recommend to anyone considering anything from highly-structural/complicated additions to super-detailed finish-carpentry. He’s easy to talk to, listens and asks you good questions to get a solid plan before doing anything. Pete’s the perfect blend of structural realist and tasteful design. Plus he shows up when he says he will, gets things done as forecast, within the promised budget. He is equally comfortable doing period-Craftsman or modern - or a blend of the two. (if I ever won the lottery, I’d put Pete on permanent retainer to build my long list of dream houses).

Pete Celovsky was so easy to work with! Very calm, thorough, detail-oriented, and with an eye on stellar final finishes. Pete communicates very well with customers, keeps them at ease, has an abundance of great and novel ideas, and always has his customer's best interest in mind. Pete was fantastic to work with!!!
