Pillar Development

I worked with Chad Youngquist of Pillar Development on a Modern Cabin in South Cle Elum. Pillar Development by far ran the most professional and extremely organized builds I have been involved in. There was such integrity for his craft, project management and overall pride in his work. I would highly recommend Chad Youngquist without hesitation if you are looking for an Eastside Builder and have done just that.

Awesome and Honest company which is hard to come by these days. We started off the remodel adventure with our kitchen which proved quite the challenge with our crooked walls but chad did a great job! He worked with us to make sure that our expectations were met and that it was within our budget as well. The kitchen is beautiful and so much more functional now. We were so impressed that we hired Pillar to do our bathroom remodel as well. This was another huge undertaking and once again Pillar was awesome in working with us to make our dreams a reality and turn the moldy water damaged room into a safe and way more functional room. The quality of the the job here was best summed up by the guys who came to install the glass shower doors--they spent the entire time commenting on how beautifully Matt tiled the shower so the glass lined up perfectly (even with our crooked house walls). Definitely recommend these guys especially since all of their guys that came by to help out were fantastic. Another note to add is I never once felt uncomfortable with them being my house unsupervised or while I was home with my young child.

We are in process of building our retirement home. In one meeting Chad said,"I don't see this as a downsize retirement home but rather a party pad". It was clear he heard my hearts desire. Every step we have taken since then has been steeped in that knowledge. Chad and Jaimie have kept us on track and been ahead of changes and deadlines. I can't wait for finished project. These two feel like family to me! If you are thinking about a build, you can do no better than Pillar Development

We are excited to move in to our new home recently built by Pillar Construction. Our experience during the bidding and entire building process was very positive. Chad was conscious of our budget and communicated with us regularly. He provided us with timelines and updates on a continual basis. . The craftsmanship of our home was above our expectations. Not only did we stay on budget, but our home was completed ahead of schedule.. We highly recommend Pillar Construction. Their integrity and professionalism resulted in a very enjoyable building experience.

Building our dream home was an adventure we always knew we wanted to take on. After numerous interviews with other contractors, we were beginning to feel like there wasn't anybody we could trust to build our home. It just didn't feel right with anyone until we sat down with Chad Youngquist. We were given the suggestion to call Pillar Development and it was the smartest decision. We felt listened to, and we were given suggestions when we needed ideas or had questions about anything. There wasn't a time throughout the whole process that we did not understand or know what was happening. Communication was great, questions were always answered quickly and we knew exactly what step in the process we were in. There were no questions about when things were going to get done. Timelines were given so we could do our homework and be ready for the selections being made inside the house. It was all new to us, but they made it so easy and fun. The experience was so amazing, we look back on it as an experience we won't forget. Building a home can be stressful, but we felt so confident in their ability to get it handled. We had several areas where we wanted custom items installed. We wanted a unique home with certain features. They understood these things were special and we got the end result as we had planned. Although this is their business, they make you feel as though they really care about you and your home, because they do. It is not just our dream house, it is a home where we are raising our family, making memories, and cherishing our time together. They understood that. We would highly recommend using Pillar Development to build, remodel or create anything you have in store. They are good at their job because it is something they love to do.

Pillar Development II (Chad and Jamie Youngquist) built our home in the spring of 2015. We only wanted a modest ranch-style home for our small family, but at every point in the project, Chad & Jamie made us feel as if we were the single most important customer they had. PD II operates with one goal in mind - completing a project while balancing customer happiness with the customer budget. 1. Customer's happiness. Chad and Jamie make every effort to ensure that their customers are not merely satisfied with the results, but actually pleased with their efforts and (especially) sub-contractor results. At every step of the project, they communicate the project's progress in detail. When things go awry (as complex projects often will) and customer decisions are required, they don't simply bring a problem, but wrap it up in two or more possible solutions - all of which are prioritized according cost-effectiveness (see #2). 2. Customer's budget. Chad & Jamie have been in the construction business a long time and understand the reality of home construction costs. Their first priority is to help the prospective customer understand the actual costs of their project, be it a new deck or a custom home, then helping them realize that goal without overtaxing the customer's financial resources. If this means having a "reality check discussion" (as it did with us), they will guide their customer through the decision process with actual facts and figures based on current market costs - not the "sorta-kinda-maybe-if-you-hold-your-mouth-just-right" discussions offered by some. If (again, as it did with us), additional costs are incurred during the project (not "cost overruns"), Chad and Jamie will do everything they can to minimize the budget pain while offering the best solutions they can (see #1). Our goal was to build our last home - the one that we would retire into. With the help and guidance of PD II, we achieved that goal in fine style. They remain our first and only choice for any project we decide to take on.

We hired Pillar Development for a multi area remodel that included expanding an exercise room, completely revamping a master bath, and upgrading light fixtures in our kitchen and great room area. The communication was great, the workmanship was top-notch, the project was done in a timely manner, and well within budget. Chad has a great sense of humor and is willing to think outside the box to accomplish a project. He and Jamie are very organized and both provide great follow through. Their communication and work with sub-contractors was very professional. I would hire Pillar Development again without hesitation, and have recommended Chad to others.
