Our endorsement of Pinneo Construction comes without hesitation. 3 reasons why: Responsiveness. This applies to all aspects of our project, including the front end (every aspect of the work and applied technology were explained to me in terms I could understand) and, critically, in the back end: They ensured, and delivered, a quality product. Without exception, any inquiry, problem, question, repair, concern was addressed to our satisfaction. Each and every time. No excuses. Ever. Resourcefulness. Ours is a highly customized home, with significant engineering challenges, and drew upon varied and novel construction processes. Successful execution demanded a willingness to expand upon existing knowledge. Every member of the team rose to the challenge, and the result was top-quality. Transparency. A key feature of Pinneo’s value proposition. One should not under-estimate the impact it had upon stress reduction. It is perhaps even more important to consider how the trust it engenders translated into an important economic consideration: a high level of trust facilitates and accelerates decision-making, thus constraining costs. It mitigates attendant anxiety. It obviates “noise”, allowing the principals to focus more intently upon the critical items in the process of execution. Tom and his team are quite simply in their own league when it comes to thoughtful, detail oriented custom building. Our restoration project was a complicated combination of 1830's restoration, demolition of later additions, and extensive new construction. Hundreds of custom features with unconventional or traditional materials were used. On a project of this scope, no architect can capture every contingency, so you need a builder who can creatively and flexibly adapt to changes. Pinneo is that kind of collaborative partner. I would recommend them for your residential project of any size.

We did a full house renovation with Pinneo Construction and immediately knew that they were the team for our project. Tom and our project manager Wess were incredibly organized and thoughtful though out the process. They met with us every week to discuss the plans for the week ahead and kept us on schedule. They helped us to choose finishes make considerations about future decisions to keep the project moving forward. Wess and his crew provided the highest quality craftsmanship and our house is absolutely beautiful because of it. If we have any problems they are quick to assist and take care of the issue. Pinneo were the builders we chose to construct our new home and we could not be happier. The house itself is very modern with some unusual finishing details which Pinneo handled admirably. Communication is key to making any project run smoothly and the working relationship between ourselves, Pinneo and our architect was excellent with the day to day management and attention to detail being on the highest standard. We engaged Pinneo Construction to manage the comprehensive renovation of our 1930 home and its site in Princeton. We would recommend Pinneo for a residential project without reservation. They delivered our house on schedule and on budget. Their day-to-day project management, with detailed weekly meetings and reporting, is at the highest professional standard. I am a real estate developer with extensive experience in new construction and renovation. I would put Pinneo at the top of my list for residential work based on their responsiveness, attention to detail, dedication to high-quality work, and congeniality. Our architects had specified many complicated details, all of which were properly handled by Pinneo and the sub-contractors they engaged for the project. We had a stipulated sum contract with Pinneo (fixed fee), which held up under construction, notwithstanding the additional work orders we requested to bring other rooms of the house into conformity with the qualities of the renovated portions. With this additional work, the completion date was extended slightly, and Pinneo made a very hard and effective push at the end to prepare the house for our pre-arranged move-in date.

It is no small thing to say that ALL of my experiences with Pinneo Construction have been extremely positive. As a professional (architect) we have successfully completed six projects with Pinneo Construction and, as a homeowner, an additional project included a large addition and renovation of our own home in 2007. Should you choose to work with Pinneo Construction (and you should!) you will have a Team approach to your project. Tom Pinneo has a great overall understanding of all aspects of residential and light commercial construction, Chris Myers maintains close attention to all aspects of budgeting and the project managers effectively live up to their title. Their carpenters are excellent too. Everyone talks to each other and takes their roles as team players seriously. The best project results are achieved in an environment where owner, builder and architect are fluent with the common language of communication, cooperation and collaboration. Pinneo Construction always goes the extra mile to ensure that environment exists on all of their projects.

I have been the architect on several residential renovation and addition projects with Pinneo Construction as the General Contractor. The team from Pinneo is smart, organized and conscientious.
