Rempel Builders

We added 500 sq ft to our house and with Ivan and John of Remple Builders it was a very enjoyable experience. If you are looking to add sunlight and flair to your home, Remple Builders is an excellent choice.

We were very happy with the extensive renovation work done by Rempel Builders. The renovation included new plumbing/ wiring, removal of some walls/capping the half wall, new door/windows, and fairly detailed design features including a new kitchen. While we did have a design made by a designer, they recommended Rempels for the job, and for good reason. Communication pre-start date with the project manager (Ivan) was excellent in that our questions were responded to very well. The on-site manager (John) during the renovation was extremely knowledgeable and trustworthy. The individual craftspeople and builders coming into our home were courteous, clean and respectful, the timing was almost on the nose as promised (3 months), with a final product we are happy to now enjoy. We can only speak highly of Rempel Builders.

We had our small kitchen completely remodeled by Rempel Builders and they were absolutely amazing. Right from our 1st meeting with Ivan regarding planning, estimating and signing the contract. John was incredible also and always kept us up to date on what the next step was in the renovation and was always available to answer questions or address any concerns. The professionalism from all thr trades involved, the cleanliness of the site under construction and the lack of stress we felt during the whole process was great. Their workmanship is top notch and I absolutely love working in my new kitchen. It has brought new life to our 1950s bungalow. I highly recommend them for any of your renovation needs & am already planning to call them back to reno our main bathroom!

I am very satisfied with the quality of work, service and follow up provided by Remple on a significant renovation project covering approximately 9 months. All of their people and sub contractors were first rate. I am a Professional Engineer by education, Chair a major construction company and have pretty firm views on how I think certain construction details should be handled. Accordingly, I was not likely Remple's easiest client to keep satisfied. On complicated construction details Remple properly presented their thoughts, listened carefully to mine and arranged 3rd party advice when appropriate so that we arrived at the best possible construction solution. I was very pleased with their approach. The project was completed in a reasonable period of time and under estimate in a very busy and inflationary period ( 2020/21) for the construction industry. Follow up on a post construction issue that was not of Remple's making has been good. I have no hesitation in recommending Remple Builders.

We had recently moved into a older house and needed to remodel some outdated features that didn't work for us. We met with a few contractors to quote out the job but Ivan stood out for his attention to detail, professionalism, and customer service. He was able to provide recommendations that worked within our budget, and was thorough and responsive while we worked out the details of the contract. At each step of the process we felt like we were in good hands. There was one small miscommunication at one point in the project but we were impressed how quickly Ivan responded and remedied it. Overall we are extremely happy with how everything turned out and would recommend Ivan in a heartbeat to anyone.

Rempel Buider is a excellent contracot. Their staff are professional and friendly, the project schedule can be always on time. The performance is worth with their price.

Last year, I purchased a condo from its original owner - it was built in the early 1970's and needed quite a bit of updating but I wanted to keep the feel of the 70's in the colours and finishes that I was using throughout (yes I did go with an olive green kitchen and I kept the harvest gold tub!). I'd worked with Rempel before and was happy to be able to get them to take on this project for me - it was very close to a complete gut of the unit and there was no room in my little place that was untouched including a full kitchen and bath re-do. While I don't recommend trying to renovate during a pandemic, Ivan and John and their team did a great job. I came with some drawings and they worked hard to make sure my vision of a 1970's vibe condo came to life. There were a few little ups and downs - as there always is in any renovation in my experience - but working with Rempel just gave me confidence that things were happening the way they should and that someone was taking care of me and my place. These folks are professionals. Ivan had good recommendations for where to spend and where to save - and in the end, his estimate was almost down to the penny. Everyone who has seen my condo it is in love with it and so am I.

Rempel dealt with all sorts of tough interior jobs to update our old home but keep it in character. We had excellent painters who thought about how the light falling from every window would change the hue of the paint and stripped decades' worth of wallpaper. We had a woodworker who handcrafted 200+ spindles to fit the craftsman style of the home, each one identical in shape but fitting in its place perfectly; we had a number of creative solutions to keep squirrels out of the rafters. We have a gas-heated double-car garage where before there was a cold carriage store. No job was too big or small, and they put up with us suggesting a million things we wanted to do, and instead doing a handful of them (we would have done them all if we didn't sell the house). There was never a complaint, never a tradesperson we didn't trust in our house, and never a problem. They told us how long it would take to do each job, and their estimates were generally correct. They're not the cheapest builders in the market, but you get what you pay for.

Friends had recommended Rempel Builders after using them to finish their basement, and we signed up for a whole home renovation with them. Their attention to detail was apparent from day one, when Ivan and his team of contractors descended en mass to do a complete walk through of the plans. We were very impressed by the collaboration between the various trades involved, right from day one. Our designer had come up with some very complex ideas, which required creative thinking when it came to implementation. As with any major renovation, a few things didn’t easily translate from paper to design, but on those few instances Ivan and team worked closely with our designer and came up with solutions which turned out even better than originally drawn. John was our site manager and he kept the place spotless throughout the renovation. Trades were well coordinated and we never felt inconvenienced in spite of the majority of the house being in some state of renovation. The build ran on time overall, and with only a few minor adjustments to price along the way (which were well communicated and agreed before any incremental work progressed). We found Ivan and team were very particular about the quality of the work done by all the trades – they clearly take great pride in their work. The outcome exceeded our expectations. We highly recommend Rempel Builders, and look forward to our next renovation with them.

Our entire 2 storey addition looks like it was there from day 1 and we couldn’t be happier. Ivan, John and the team of builders, framers, designers and plumbing/electrical partners they work with are top notch - trustworthy, dependable and detail oriented. Everyone was so professional and friendly... they worked with us all the way through and were reassuring as we all navigated Covid protocols to get the job done! We highly recommend.
