Having worked on multiple projects with Erica and her team, I can personally say that I have nothing but positive things to say about the way they run their projects. From having many years of experience in construction myself, solely in this busy, chaotic Bay Area, I can tell you that nothing is better and more appreciated than proper prior planning and job site organization. It’s makes these already hectic projects run smoothly, in a timely manner and creates a very positive environment for both the workers, surrounding neighbors and most importantly our Clients. From my personal experience working with Ridgeway Construction they set the bar for this standard very high. Before I even step on their job-site, I know with confidence, what I need me and my crew to complete and work at our optimal ability. We used the Ridgeways to basically build a new home for us. After much research, chose them for their impeccable quality and efficiency. Yes you can build a home in four months! They are incredibly organized and work around the clock for you. I created a Pinterest board and asked Erica to help choose the materials that were within my budget but achieved the same look and she did an amazing job. There were things I added that were not in the plans like a window seat, etc that they were determined to figure out how to do for me without charging more- they don’t nickel and dime where reasonable. Sure we had some bumps along the way. You’d be naive to do a remodel and not think there would be no matter how organized you are. But they always worked through it with us and sincerely wanted us to be happy. And that’s the thing - I always felt their sincerity in wanting us to be happy. They understood that we were pretty much sinking everything we had in this remodel and thus really helped us to achieve our dream home. Ron was incredible at working through challenging situations- working through ways to resolve. But I’ll say the ultimate test is after moving in. This is where I’m even more convinced we chose the right builders. Anything and I mean anything we see that needs fixing they do not question or hesitate and immediately send someone over to address. It’s been incredible and gives me peace of mind. Even years from now I think if something comes up they wouldn’t hesitate to assess. They have such integrity and back up their work. They feel like family. Because they are so efficient, if you use them. You need to make sure you can make decisions quickly and have a general idea of what you want upfront. I took a leap of faith with them as their bids were not nearly as detailed as any other though as competitive. I’m so glad I did!

I’ve enjoyed working with Ridgeway Construction for the last 2 years. They are very efficient from top to bottom offering elegant custom made homes for there clients with quick turn around times. They pay close attention to detail and hands down are a great company to work for. It’s a family owned business and they have a great team. About 2 years ago I needed to make an in-law unit for my mother who who had recently had a heart transplant. I had never done anything like this before and didn’t know where to start. I found an architect who helped us create drawings to get permits from the city. I figured once I had the permits and the drawings I would be able to get contractors to bid on the project. Unfortunately I was naive and did not understand how hot the construction market is in my area (Santa Clara) really is. A few contractors came out and told me they would send me a bid but I only received one and I was told it would take between 8-9 months and they wouldn’t even be able to start for a few months. I found Ridgeway on Yelp and contacted them. I was a little worried because all the pictures on Yelp were of beautiful houses/mansions. They replied back to me quickly and Erica was out at my house in a few days bidding on the project. She told me they could start in about 2 months and would take between 4-5 months to complete the build. I ended up hiring them and was very pleased with their professionalism. Erica is the project manager and is very good at her job. She organized everything so well they were able to complete the project in 3.5 months. Ron is her father and the general contractor for the company. He is super knowledgeable of with years (probably decades) of experience. Ron went above and beyond doing little extras to make sure it was ready for my mom. The quality and speed of the job is what was most impressive. Their prices are comparable to other construction companies in the area. The major difference you get with them is their commitment to the project. You can call at almost any time with any concern and you will get a response very quickly. Recently an issue came up regarding some concrete work done to our driveway and they STILL responded right back to me, came out and addressed the issue! I waited this long to review them because I wanted to make sure that no surprises popped up. So far everything is holding together nicely and the house looks great.

I've know the Ridgeways for a year now (5 start-to-finish houses) and have nothing but great things to say about them. Let me start off by saying that a Ridgeway job runs smoother and a million times more efficient than 100% of the other contractors I work for. The communication between the contractor and subcontractor is flawless. If there is ever a problem or change that needs to happen, it is clearly addressed and taken care of. I can't speak enough on how much communication is necessary to correctly do my job, and the Ridgeways satisfy that need. Clear and descriptive detail of the entire job is laid out and given at the very beginning of each job. As an electrician I need to know certain things before I can get to work sometimes and without fail, they have a binder on site with specs galore. This makes me happy. I can know that I'm running the right sized wire to the exact location of the double oven, and not have to move it 10 times because the contractor doesn't know what he's doing. The Ridgeways are on top of their shit. And anything they don't happen to have at the beginning will be promptly delivered within an hour of asking for it. This is the reason the jobs are constructed in such a timely fashion. Quick and to the point. Ridgeway jobs are my favorite to work on because there is no dilly dally. Each trade is scheduled cleanly so they don't step on each other's toes which happens at my other jobs. No better feeling than getting to rope an entire house in two weeks with very minor changes. Nothing worse than spending a year and a half on the same job and still be roughing stuff in. It gets old very quickly. Ridgeway jobs never do that. The work gets done, we get to move on to the next NEW project. Jobs that get old and stale are a buzz kill. My last point is the Ridgeways care about the different trades. They make you feel like family. I can honestly say that they are my favorite contractors to work for. Each site is equipped with a mini fridge that Ron constantly keeps stocked with cold water for all the tradesmen. What kind of contractor does that, you may ask? I'll tell you what kind...the RIGHT contractor! They are all friendly and calm. There is never any yelling or condescension, and let me tell you, I have no patience for uptight and abrupt contractors. I love the Ridgeways!!!
