Rob and his team were excellent. Professional, courteous, timely and managed the work to my expectations. The quality of work is exceptional. Rob is honest about his pricing and gives the best options. Throughout the project he is able to adjust and make further options if needed.

We are currently working with Rob and his team on the new construction of a complex single family home in Upper Bergen County, NJ. Rob assisted in the design phase starting as early as the initial meetings in August of 2017. While the budget wasn't limited, it wasn't unlimited either. He has given countless valuable insights into the feasibility, value added and construction procedures for multiple facets of the project which have tremendously improved our deliverable and the client's project!

We hired Rob at RJT Builders to do a full kitchen remodel this past December. From the initial consultation to completion, Rob was extremely professional and assisted me and my wife throughout the entire project. Eric, the project manager, was on-site each day to oversee the day-to-day work and ensured that the kitchen was completed on time and on budget. The subcontractors (demo, plumbing, electric, painting, etc.) were all very qualified and did excellent work. My wife and I could not be more pleased with RJT’s work. We highly recommend RJT.

Full bathroom remodel. We only have one full bath in the house so it was important that the work was done on time and right the first time. The permitting and inspections were all handled seamlessly so that we could use our bathroom again as soon as possible. All of the tradespeople hired by RJT were excellent - they were quick, clean and competent and the few little hiccups along the way were dealt with effectively. We would highly recommend RJT to work on any home improvement project.

Robert Tell did an excellent job in reconfiguring our bathroom from tub shower to walk-in shower. He did the work on time and on budget. He is highly recommended.

Rob and his crew were great. Really worked hard to keep to the deadlines, provided great advice on layout and design of my basement. Even after I paid him, he has come back for touchups and for little changes that we wanted.

Rob from RJT did a great job on my powder room renovation. The whole project went seemless start to finish in just a few days. Contractors were very professional and the job even came in less than the original quote. Would highly recommend, I will be using Rob for my next remodeling job.

Rob was easy to work with and very fast! Every deadline was adhered to. With all construction projects, there will be issues -- Rob was open to discussing each of these issues and worked efficiently to quickly remedy each problem. I would recommend him and his team without hesitation.

We have contracted Rob to do several projects including redesign & remodeling of master and guest baths, painting the entire interior and refinishing floors. We have worked with other contractors in the past and Rob is, by far, the best. We had a good idea of what we wanted and Rob provided invaluable guidance and advice that helped us achieve exactly what we had in mind with no cost overruns. Two aspects of working with Rob are worthy of note. First, his subcontractors are all top notch professionals that did excellent work. Second, no matter how busy Rob is, he is always reachable and responsive in addressing any questions or suggestions that we had. Prior to starting FJT Remodelling, he worked for Toll Bros that is a leading builder of high end homes. So he had excellent foundation upon which he has built a successful business.

We found Rob Tell's company when we bought a house that needed some updating. We knew nothing about him other than what we saw on Angie's List. I'd say we got lucky. Our new house was originally a Cape Cod that had had several additions over the years, resulting in a lot of internal walls and a cramped and dark feeling in the house. Also, there was no master suite: the master bedroom had no direct access to the ground floor bathroom. And neither of the 2 existing bathrooms had been touched since about the 1950s. This was our first house, after renting apartments in the city, so while we knew we wanted to make some changes to the house, we were also very open to guidance in terms of suggestions to make best use of space, take into account structural details, etc. We ended up hiring Rob after an initial consultation where he was on time (or early). We liked right away that he was professional but not a robot or a jerk. He had opinions and both shared and explained them. We ended up, with his guidance, opening up several walls, adding a half-bath, bringing the washer/dryer up to the ground floor, completely re-doing both existing baths, and creating a master suite in the process, and re-painting most of the house. There's a bunch of smaller jobs that Rob's crew did, too, but those were the big projects. We're thrilled with the results and wouldn't hesitate at all to work with Rob or his crew again. The overall budget ended up being a bit larger than we expected but that's mostly down to me and my wife's decisions in terms of tiling and other materials. Rob was completely upfront and kept good documentation about what work was going to be done and what that would cost. We would also say that Rob was great in terms of setting expectations and meeting them in terms of overall timing for the project. There was a tiny bit of a setback in terms of timing but that was because the required permits took much longer than they should have - I wouldn't (and don't) blame Rob there. My wife and I couldn't be happier with how our home turned out. And we have reached out to Rob a number of times since this work was completed, for advice on other home-related things, and Rob has always been quick to respond and/or offer guidance. We look forward to working with Rob again, and would enthusiastically recommend him and his company to anyone.

Rob was a professional throughout the process. He added his advice and was quick to respond to our requests. The job moved quickly and without any issues. His subs were respectful and extremely helpful in moving the project to it's conclusion. Rob was always available and showed up anytime we needed to talk to him. I plan to use Rob on any other project I have and recommend him to all my friends. Pricewise, he was more then reasonable and had no hidden costs or unexpected extras. Great experience.

Excellent work. I highly recommend RJT for home renovation. RJT has remodeled my third floor attic into an awesome playroom/game room for my kids. They have also created a home office/ bar area and i could not be more satisfied with the work. The workers are neat and respectful and all the work was done in a timely fashion. Rob is very easy to get in touch with and is on the job site everyday.

Rob from RJT is a pleasure to do business with. While we enjoy assisting all of our customers it is a nice to work with someone who knows exactly what they want, has the right measurements, and is ready to move to the next step. The expediency that he brings to the project is the magic ingredient which allows for a job that is completed on time and done right the first time.

Rob Tell from RJT Remodeling is a phenomenal contractor and I recommend him wholeheartedly. I first met Rob when he responded to an estimate request for painting the interior of my new house but once he mentioned he was a general contractor, I shared my entire list of fix-ups for which I had been getting quotes from individual tradesmen (repairing electrical wiring, adding recessed lighting throughout the house, framing new closets and an archway, painting the entire house, etc.). During his walk through for the estimate, he spent over an hour (on his own dime) educating us on the best way to complete certain jobs for the best result, providing the pros and cons of various options for each task (for example, drywalling over popcorn ceiling rather than skimcoating it, as a painter had suggested, would ensure that cracks do not reappear). Nevertheless, after he left I didn't think we'd go with a contractor since I expected that the price would be significantly higher than going with an individual carpenter, electrician, painter, etc. I was wrong -- when his itemized quote came back, his costs were on par or lower than going directly with individual tradesmen. That sealed the deal. Once the work got started, Rob was constantly available and on-site every day. He usually caught any minor issues before I did and had them corrected proactively, but in the event that I caught something that needed to be fixed he had his crew make the change without any problems. Plus, when he realized that some expensive electrical work that we'd scoped into the project was not necessary after all, he actually advised us to skip it and cut almost $1000 out of our bill. Perhaps the most surprising delight has been how responsive Rob continues to be even after the final payment check has cleared: when a locksmith's lock installation caused a door that RJT installed to come out of alignment, Rob came over personally to get the door back in position. Months after his job was completed, he's continuing to stand by his work. I was nervous about getting involved in a major renovation, given how many contractor horror stories you hear about from friends, but Rob from RJT Remodeling was the opposite: available, helpful, and proactive. That is why I will continue to use RJT for any future renovations/handyman tasks/etc.
