We used Roy's Builders for a major remodeling project. It consisted of complete renovations of four bathrooms, fireplace refacing, hardwood flooring and some structural reinforcing. It was a substantial project and Roy's Builders did a fantastic job! Their bid was fair and they completed all of the work on time and on budget. They are truly perfectionists.......they have teams of experts in each area....tiling, painting, plumbing, electrical, etc. Their finished work is amazing....we are so happy! Our project manager, Eli, and his team were truly wonderful to work with! We will absolutely use Roy's for any project in the future!!!

We went with Roy's based on the awesome reviews on Houzz and Yelp, but our experience has been really awful. Idan who was very responsive till we signed the architectural contract. Everything went down the hill from there. I had to call for everything - for measurements, for getting some plan proposals. Still nothing moved. I asked for a refund and cacellation and still didn't get any response. I then left a one star review and then got a response and refund of the money we had paid. Updated my review to 2 stars after the refund. This has pushed our project back by at least 6 months. More detailed timelines on my Yelp review.

Roy is a fabulous contractor and craftsman. We could not be happier with the work that Roy did in our home and in our dealings with him. Being six months pregnant and going through a renovation may not be an ideal experience but Roy put us completely at ease, and actually made the remodel pleasant. We have an addition to our ranch home that was put on by a previous owner, and was poorly laid out. We had to walk through a bedroom to get to another bedroom. Roy reconfigured the lay out and rebuilt a beautiful bedroom for us that we will now use as a nursery. He was able to close off the room we used to have to walk through, and build hallways and fabulous closets for us, making our home much more functional. (He took down and rebuilt walls, installed new bamboo flooring, shaker style closet doors, windows, crown moulding, and more. He also does upgrades you may not expect ..He made our floors seamless and gave us beautiful recessed lighting that was much nicer than our previous!

Roy is fantastic. We hired him in December to do a remodel of our master bathroom on a very tight schedule. The project was a complete tear-down and rebuild, including significant plumbing changes, electrical and construction of a new shower. Everything was completed on schedule and at the highest level of quality. The cost was very reasonable, and Roy always discussed any necessary changes with us and gave us options to choose from. What we enjoy the most about working with Roy is his pleasant demeanor, professionalism and competence. His crew is also top notch in every area, and completely trustworthy and respectful. So, after we finished the master bath, we asked Roy’s Builders to come back to remodel our 2nd bathroom. The project has just started and we're looking forward to another great job.

Just finished a significant remodel ( $120K+) with David and Roy. We did a 225 sq ft addition and new bathroom, kitchen, new floors, and remodeled a 2nd bathroom. Basically, a new house - all while we lived there with two elementary age kids. They got the project done within our original timeframe and budget, were courteous, responsive, and completely professional in every interaction I had with them over a three month period. They gave good advice, handled changes smoothly through a long and complicated process (SJ permits are intense) and they made it so much easier and less stressful than it would have been in less capable hands. We love the look and quality of the work they did and are so happy we went with them. We chose them because of how their work felt compared with the other contractors we met and it really paid off. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone

I was looking for someone to remodel my 2 and 1/2 bathrooms, and replace kitchen and entry flooring. I wanted to get into the detail of picking out exactly what I wanted, find someone with the expertise to advise me on what current trends are, give me options and opinions, and of course coordinate all the work. I did my due diligence, read lots of reviews and got five different estimates that covered a full range of costs and services. When I met with Roy and got RB's estimate, I knew they were the one. They set up a two-phase plan for me so that I would always have a working bathroom during the project. Roy kept me updated with schedules, and was always patient with my multiple visits to look yet again at my cabinet and tile color choices. Project Manager Adam was incredible! He was always reachable and responsive, on top of everything going on, answered my questions, and kept me updated. His commitment and availability made me comfortable that everything was on track and being done right. I am extremely pleased with the final product. I would hire Roy’s Builders again, and will definitely recommend them to my friends

Good help is really hard to come by. As I get older, this becomes truer and truer. When we initially purchased our home we did so knowing that we needed to do a bunch of work. The only difficulty that we encountered was that we had our hearts set on a set of cabinetry from Seattle and planned on shipping it here. Not only were we looking for a contractor who would be willing to assemble our cabinets but also someone to do a complete tear down of our kitchen. A lot of contractors out there were not interested in assembly if we didn't purchase from them directly. Thank goodness we found Roy. Not only was he quick to respond to our initial request for a quote, but he came onsite a few times to walk us through out options and different options that we could take with our remodel. He was very straight forward with costs for each and every project so we weren't surprised with a crazy bill in the end. One of the great things about working with Roy is that he has someone for everything. As the kitchen remodel took place, we started to slowly tack on other projects - new recess lighting, a new bathroom, tile flooring, replacement of fixtures, hanging doors, installing appliances.. he had someone for each and every request. He is completely straight forward with us in terms of pricing and how realistic our visions were for new projects and add ons. Roy and crew were extremely professional, they got the work done in the allotted promised timing and were respectful of my home during the entire remodel. They cleaned up after every project and made sure to tidy up as they moved throughout the house. In addition, they were very respectful of our time, they arrived promptly each day when they said they would be here so there was no leeway and waiting around for them to arrive. Since the completion our first big remodel, we have had a few smaller projects that we needed around the house. Thank you for everything! My home is absolutely beautiful thanks to your hard work!

Roy’s Builders is a great design firm. Roy came on to help us do a full gut renovation on our 1931 kitchen. We wanted to keep the vintage charm of the house while also having a very custom approach, and they were fantastic. Roy is a talented designer and a great collaborator. We ended up expanding the scope of work to include new windows elsewhere in the house (which was very complicated), and a refresh in our living and dining rooms. All throughout Roy was professional and a clear communicator, kept to our budget, worked creatively with us on design, while also reigning in our wildest ideas. It's shocking how transformative a custom front door and new window casings can be. So Spending a little extra on hiring a designer like Roy’s Builders was beyond worth it. They stayed within the authenticity of my home's architectural style but added a modern, elegant look with solid design elements. Five stars,hands down.

We had been debating a bathroom remodel for some time until our shower broke one day. Our vintage Spanish house needed updating and with walls that aren't smooth or even, I dreaded the necessary tilework. After interviewing other contractors, we thankfully decided to hire Roy. He was so lovely to work with. He had ideas but also respected ours. We are perfectionists and his tilework is top notch - perfectly straight and even. He had his hands full at our house as we ended up having to rip out the plumbing, replace ceiling and "shave" our solid concrete walls. He took it in stride and is very skilled beyond just tile. He did everything and we really love our new bathroom! While he was there he also fixed our decrepit fireplace hearth with a new "vintage" brick tile. It perfectly fits the house. I look forward to hiring Roys Builders on another project. They do amazing work and were incredibly tidy every day.

Shawn and the Roy’s Builders crew are everything that you want in a contractor & remodeling team - trustworthy, professional, attentive, caring, perfectionists, on time, on budget and absolute pros at what they do! Alex's team completely updated our kitchen, master bath and powder room. I hired based on reviews as I had to have my glass sliding doors, windows, and electrical done right. Our home needed a lot of work and we really appreciate the work done by Roy’s Builders. Most importantly we love the work they did. From price, to timing, communication, follow up and a few little extras here and there that really helped me alot. Roy was definitely the right choice for the two large remodels that had to be done perfect. I hope to be able to give you future business!

My husband and I bought our two bedroom, one bathroom house when I was pregnant with our first child. Two kids and five years later, we were bursting at the seams and in desperate need of more space. We began the long, arduous process of searching for a contractor to do a major remodel and master suite addition. After meeting with over a dozen contractors over the course of several months, we narrowed it down to three to give us a formal bid. David from Roys Builders was one of those three contractors. We found him to be the most responsive and personable during the bidding process, and fortunately, he came in with the best design and got the job. Two months later, we are back in our beautiful, much bigger home, and we couldn't be happier! The quality of work is impressive, and the whole remodel process was actually quite enjoyable, thanks to David's organization and people skills; traits I've found many contractors to be lacking. This was not an easy job... our architect drew very detailed plans and called out specific materials to be used throughout the house. The job also required providing us with modern amenities while preserving the style and charm of our 1920's traditional. Roy, David, Adam, and all of the in-house workers and subcontractors were a pleasure to work with. It's evident that they all take pride in their work and have integrity- something that is a must when you are entrusting someone with a job of this magnitude! We are so glad we made the choice to work with Roys Builders!

If I could leave 10 stars I would, what an an amazing remodeling job Adam and his team just completed at my home. The entire experience from start to finish was top notch. Roy quoted us on a custom staircase, installation of hardwood in all our upstairs rooms and remodeling our jack and Jill bathroom. The quote was very competitive and reasonable but after seeing the job completed it was worth every penny. Firstly, Roy’s workers were extremely punctual and they worked so hard every day, the guys were very respectful and you can tell they are perfectionists and the attention to detail exceeded my expectations. We had a beautiful, custom staircase built which is honestly a work of art. We have undertaken many remodeling projects over many years but this is hands down the best, stress free experience I have ever had. Adam was always available, he's a complete professional and just an all round lovely guy who takes pride in his business. I highly recommend the Roy’s Builders team for any work you need doing at your home. I definitely won't be using anyone but RB going forward. Thanks again Adam and everyone that made my home so beautiful, we are so happy with the outcome.
