Sal and Moises did a great job with our new construction landscaping project! Their crew handled every part of our project (e.g plumbing, soil prep, electrical, pavers, retaining wall, etc) and we are extremely happy with the end result. Logistically, they were easy to work with and were very accommodating to any last minute changes or modifications I wanted to make to the plan. It made me feel better knowing that not every detail had to be figured out up-front and that we could adjust and design as we saw things being implemented. Their crew members were respectful and pleasant to have around, they even tended to our potted plants that we had laying around! They cleaned and powerwashed frequently once the pavers were put in place to keep everything orderly. Finally, I found their pricing to be very reasonable compared to other bids we looked at. Would highly recommend! We will be continuing to use their landscape maintenance services - they just make everything so easy for us.

Salas Landscaping designed and implemented a huge project for us which consisted of hardscape and soft scape. We couldn't be more happier with the outcome as it turned out wonderful! They listened to all of our wants and needs and had great suggestions on some things that we would never have thought of. They are definitely not your cookie cutter Landscape company and yet they are very reasonable and competitive pricing. All of the guys were very courteous and professional and were on the project 6 days a week. Never once did we have to scratch our heads wondering where they were and if they were going to come to work. As usual with any kind of construction or landscape project there will be some changes that weren't foreseen in the plan and Salas Landscaping was very attentive and willing to work in the changes with no problem. Being in the real estate and construction business myself I can be a bit picky and Salas Landscaping had patience and the upmost professionalism. I waited this long for my review because I wanted to make sure everything worked properly and there were no issues with them coming back to replant or fix any issue. There were a few things that needed replanting and they were on it immediately after informing them of the problem. This in itself is a rarity in this business for sure! I would highly recommend this company to anyone and YES I would use them again for another project!

We selected Misael to execute our Eichler backyard project consisting of a new dining area and a vault & deck for the underground installation of a Swim Spa. Misael was not afraid of our ambitious ideas for a compact backyard, which required a lot of manual labor given the poor access conditions for machinery. The whole team nevertheless undertook this challenge and met the goals of the project, which was completed with a very high quality of work. Misael was collaborative with us throughout the project, and a number of setbacks, and worked hard to push the project along despite an extraordinary run of bad luck with the rainiest winter in years and continuous storms that frequently left the under-construction pool vault as a mud pit. He has a respectful, polite and hard working team, who are obviously very proud to deliver their best work, and when outside materials were required, Misael pointed us in the direction of good providers who have a choice of high quality options. Misael regularly dropped by the site in person to assess next steps, and went above and beyond by helping to coordinate extra hours for his team when tight deadlines had to be met, or went the bad weather was rolling in. We are extremely pleased with the final result, and very much enjoyed our backyard this summer! A big thank you Misael and his team.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE my new front yard! My original yard was sloped, dated and grass required ALOT of watering due to being on corner lot. I was looking for upscale drought tolerant yard but I couldn’t find a design I liked. I finally found Salas Landscaping after reaching out to several others who either wouldn’t respond or follow through. The best part was that Salas was local to Hollister win win for me! He’s communicative throughout the process and responds quickly to any questions you may have. I now have a gorgeous retaining wall with hardwired lighting including in the steps at “grand entrance”. Salas Landscaping designed the look I was looking for. I have received so many compliments! I will definitely be using them again for my backyard :)

Salas Landscaping did a PHENOMENAL job on our backyard. Not only was Misael extremely professional, but he was very communicative and helped bring our vision to life. They are very helpful and friendly up front, things will start out well, and then about 50% of the way in, the project speed will slow down considerably and then it will slowly become nothing more than a mostly abandoned project. All aspects of the project will be partially done and then sit there unfinished for months on end - pavers, planting, lighting, kitchen, patio, etc...but nothing will truly get done without begging. Our project started in Nov '21, and come March '23 (17 months in), we had to fire them as it was clear it was never going to finish. We were still waiting for materials (deck, kitchen, retaining wall, etc) that should have been ordered 16 months ago. We were still begging them to fix issues, fix work that didn't follow the designers plans (Fence wrong, cement broom finish instead of topcast finish on walkway and patio, etc), along with begging them to finish items that still weren't done (small retaining wall, deck, kitchen, etc). Looking back, it was clear we should have moved on in June of '22. Starting in May '22, their interest in the project plummeted - likely due to other projects lined up that were now worth more to them. This is when we had to constantly send over work lists via email and text, plus call and text almost daily, and beg and remind them of all the work that still needed to be done. Then in June '22 we found out the kitchen permit was never submitted. And the permit process time was then used as a convenient excuse to put in minimal to no effort for the next 6 months. As an example of how little effort was put in to finish, a work list was sent in Dec '22 (13 months in) begging them to finish the following: deck, deck bar, retaining wall, fence, concrete patio and walkway, lighting, kitchen, planting, pergola, plus other items along with a laundry list of issues that needed to be fixed. There will be very little communication either - you will have to constantly reach out and ask "what is going on", "why is no one working on our project", "what is the plan". You'll consistently get "guys will be there today" and no one will show up. You'll get "we'll be there on the 18th" and no one will show up. You'll get promises of completion dates, and when it's clear that date has no chance of happening, you have to text, call, email just to find out what is going on because no one is showing up. Our overall project was a $300k project and it's been treated as nothing more than a nuisance to this company. We have given no reason for our project to get pushed aside other than paying on time which made our project less attractive because most of the money has been collected and other projects are now worth more. For being in an industry that is heavily reliant on referrals, it's truly mind boggling how a customer can be treated as nothing more than a nuisance. The total disregard for the customer is baffling and so disappointing.

Salas completed an extensive front and backyard landscape design (patios, pavers, 2 decks, fountains, living walls, turf, terracing, balusters, trees, plants, driveway, underground rainwater tanks, gardens, etc). Sal was recommended to me as the luxury team that will get things done quickly. They did not disappoint. It was really impressive to see them work around bureaucratic city planners, supply chain issues, labor shortages, etc and still deliver high quality work on-time. I very much appreciated their ability to improvise and improve upon the plans from the landscape designer. What works on paper does not always work in-practice and Sal and his crew were able to come up with better solutions. Other things are simply hard to anticipate so I appreciated their ability to iterate as needed.

Salas Landscaping has worked wonders for me many times. As a landscape designer and developer, I have had Sal build many of my personal designs. His attention to detail and keeping the client aware of what is going on is critical. His history of completing many quality projects allows for him to know what to do and how to do it. Plus having a one stop contractor means that all is controlled internally, thus minimizing any miscommunication and hiccups. And if there are hiccups, he gets them handled right away. I look forward to have Salas landscaping handling as many of my landscape designs as he can handle.

Salas Landscaping did our backyard for our new house in Hollister, CA including the design. Since this was our first house we did not know we did not a fixed plan; with their guidance we ended up with a beautiful cement extension of our California room with river stones, trees for privacy, a raised garden, a dog run and grassy area. Four years later we still love our yard and it's in great shape. We definitely recommend their services because of the expertise and professionalism.

Salas Landscaping did the yard for our new house and we are very happy with the design and results. Since this was our first home and did not have a big budget our plan was simple, only grass and some trees. We ended up with a cement area for gathering, a nice grassy area, privacy trees, a raised bed, enclosed dog run, drip irrigation system and decorative plants! Four years later the yard is beautiful and everything is in great condition. We highly recommend their services!

Salas Landscaping relandscaped the backyard in my Palo Alto townhouse before I sold it. The work was done professionally and efficiently. The workers were punctual and executed a challenging concrete seating area exquisitely. The backyard transformation from a boring aggregate concrete patio into a dreamy tropical oasis probably added $100K to comparable units. I would hire them again in an instant.

Salas Landscaping absolutely went above and beyond and delivered with everything we were seeking for our backyard remodel. During my search for a contractor, some didn't even respond to my inquiry, brushed me off, or their bid was sky high! After finding Salas Landscaping on Instagram, I was intrigued by the quality of work and attention to detail. Once we had our design plan back from Yardzen, I shot Sal a DM, which turned into a phone call and email. The next day, he was at my house at the time he said he would show up; mask on, tablet in hand, listened to all of our concerns and went through the design plan. I just had a good feeling about Sal and his knowledge of the landscape construction industry and business practices. That night, he sent us a very competitive bid and we decided to go into contract with him. I knew he was booked weeks/months out, but he some how put us on his calendar and started the job a week later. We never discussed a timeline because we weren't in a rush (winter time). From the very first day of construction to the last day, each one of his workers were respectful of our property, wore a mask, and were true to their craft and skill (demo, root barrier, framing, concrete, synthetic turf, floating bench, planting and irrigation, etc). Whenever we had a question or concern about the fit or finish or something, a quick text to Sal only to learn that he was already ten steps ahead of it and assured us it was part of the process to complete the job. We found out quickly just to stop asking questions and trust him and his team to complete the job. The end product came out better than the design plan and 3d renderings. We couldn't be happier with how things turned out and cannot wait to finally use our backyard and make so many more memories. Highly recommend Salas Landscaping for any job; big or small. Finding Sal and gang has been a major relief for me. As an outdoor living designer, my designs are only as good as the folks that install them. Sal and team have been responsive, have excellent communication, need zero monitoring and few questions. If you're looking to work with a group that does it the right way the first time, these are your guys.

Sal and his team did a great job. Took my designer's drawings and filled in all the blanks. My project had a deck, concrete work, a new pergola and a gas fire pit. He was available every step of the way and gave us great suggestions. Pricing was VERY competitive. Had a repair a month or two after the project was complete and his team was right back out making the necessary fixes. I've already recommended him to friends and family.

Sal and his crew re-built my second story deck as the previous one wasn't built properly. The crew was very professional and Sal had great communication throughout the project. He also installed uplighting in my back yard area and it really highlighted the oak trees. I highly recommend working with Sal in the future!

Every day, Salas' team showed up on time, with joyful smiles, and collaboratively worked together with me and our contractor to make sure that our landscaping scope of work was harmoniously coordinated with the construction of our new home. Salas' scope of work included complete landscape construction for a 1/2 acre lot - earthwork grading, concrete & stone patios, walkways, driveway, irrigation, planting, low voltage lighting, wood fences & gates, vegetable beds, water feature and complete renovation of an existing pool (including a new built-in pool cover, spa, and related plumbing). They were fun to work with and hustled to make sure inspection schedules were met. They successfully completed our project on schedule and on budget. As part of this project, 22 large boulders were precisely placed to my exact specification. I am very particular about details.
