Sanwick Remodeling Contractors

I recommend anyone who has a major project to consider Sanwick. We had one floor of our home completely remodeled and are happy with the results. We added a main bedroom bath and moved walls. Any minor issues were handled quickly to our satisfaction. We knew the costs upfront and they met their timeline. We are happy with our new layout and updated home.

Sanwick Remodeling has done four different projects for us; we are extremely pleased with each. One, a total remodel of our master bedroom/bath areas, was beautiful beyond expectations. The bath placed first in the builders’ association competition that year. Another was in response to major water damage in our lower level. Although already pressed by a busy schedule, Todd Sanwick immediately sent workers to mitigate the damage, then refinished the damaged area. The renovation much surpassed the original! Todd also successfully negotiated coverage with the insurance company. The other projects involved rebuilding our front and back decks. We are quite satisfied with the results. We have found Todd Sanwick to be knowledgeable, transparent, and fair in his price estimations and responsive to all issues throughout the projects. His workers are skilled, friendly, and professional. Twice – long after any warranty was in place – when we were having minor problems with the remodeled bath, Todd took it upon himself to see that the issues were rectified. Sanwick is our go-to remodeling contractor!

They provided me a bid, and I signed a contract for a small job. I would floor and a large amount of carpet was laid. However, the sub-contractor requested more money from me because of the large amount of work, or he said he would walk off the job. I have never had a sub-contractor request more money from when I had a bid and contract with a general contractor. The carpet contract sub damaged property in the basement, and I found out later that I had some antiques stolen by some of the carpet crew. Sanwick did not take care of the losses even though I am sure that they have insurance, but I imagine their premiums would go up if they did. I was told later that what i paid did not cover the entire cost of the carpet laying, floor prep, and the installation of the wood floor. I said I paid what was the contracted price and Sanwick acknowledged that. Todd is a nice guy. No qualms about that. However, there was no real follow through in my experience. I always thought a sub takes the job for what the general is willing to pay. The sub had looked at the job before staring and Sanwick had an experience estimator bid the job. Granted it was a small job, but I inquired when Sanwick was going to do other tasks in our contract, and I was told three times the rest of the job would begin in two more weeks, but I was never contacted again to complete the other tasks I wanted done. I quit contacting them too after that experience, and I believe both sides agreed to go our separate ways without stating that verbally. It is fine with me now. The wood floor was installed well, and the carpet was laid well, but it took them a month to complete the job, which is excessive even with the 1400 square feet that had to be laid, and the items that had to be moved. . However, I had to deal with a sub who was sometimes ornery to deal to with and who demanded more money outside of the contract price or stated he would walk off the job when it was half-done, and some damaged and stolen property. Also a job that had other tasks that we never complete. Other than all of that it was a good experience. Sense the sarcasm

This company came into my home and absolutely destroyed it. Left me with sub par work a list of items to be finished and repaired and a company owner who uses bully and intimidation tactics to get me to settle for their unacceptable work. I have many pictures to back up their level of work and would suggest anyone considering hiring them think twice. Also should make sure to get the financial numbers in writing as they like to keep that hidden from the customer saying it is “unusual” to provide those.. complaints have been filed with BBB and the Nebraska State Attorney Generals office for contractors.

Sanwick Remodeling did an outstanding job on our basement. From adding a wetbar, theatre area, two bedrooms and a full bath, everything was seemless. Johns attention to detail was superb! Loved that they even ended prior to the original end date.

Todd and his crew give each client special attention. Every day the job site is left clean. Sanwick is a superb contractor.
