We are on the home stretch of our kitchen remodel, and we just couldn't wait to tell you how impressed we are with your work, and especially your level of integrity. Yesterday, Nathan was a superstar. He handled a tough conversation with the granite guys as if he had doubled his years in experience. There is disagreement in any industry, and most people learn how to manage this kind of conversation later in life. Yesterday, Nathan kept a level-head, and with patience and ease, he insisted the countertop guys redo the measurements. There was a moment of awkwardness, but Nathan didn't compromise. He stood for integrity, and having the job done the right way. Scott, I was very grateful that you caught the measurements mistake in the photo, and very proud of Nathan handling it. As the homeowners, we feel that you guys are taking very good care of us. Thank you very much. We can't wait to see it all come together.

This box is too small to contain my praises for Scott McKee. My last project with SMC was a major home remodel. Scott's ability to translate our dreams into plans with a budget we could live with was the most artful balancing act I have ever witnessed. We were not always realistic but Scott's patience with us, his feedback, guidance and creative vision were extraordinary. We now own the "jewel of the neighborhood" and to this day, people driving by will stop and admire our home. And it was all done within Scott's original budget, delivered on-time and with constant communication from Scott. I cannot over emphasize the value of his counsel. His assistance in picking stone, fixtures and even paint colors spared us what could have been painful moments. In talking with many of my friends, I have learned that not every contractor provides that "hand holding" or is even capable of adding the many design touches that Scott added making our project special and unique. The last thing I would add is what I came to believe of Scott, that his work was not a job but his passion. His single desire was to produce an outcome that would not just meet our needs but exceed our expectations. Looking back, I can now appreciate the many unpaid hours he spent re-working drawings, listening to our ideas and ultimately, translating them into reality. I do not want to venture into hyperbole. It is truly with the greatest of pleasure that my wife and I are writing to recommend Scott McKee as a General Contractor we hold with the highest regard. Scott has just completed a major renovation on our home. We are completely satisfied with his work. With Scott’s expert advice and professional support, the three month renovation project was completed on time, on budget, and was in fact an exciting and creative experience for my wife and I. I would like to just briefly share with you a little history of our renovation project, and some insight into why we can without hesitation recommend Scott McKee to you. For quite some time my wife and I discussed our housing options, should we move or should we renovate. The house we lived in felt like a house, adequate but not quite able to meet all of our needs. Once we decided upon renovating the next big step was — finding a general contractor. Second, we heard plenty of horror stories about inept, incompetent, or downright unscrupulous contractors. All the recommendations we received were given to us with some qualifications or explanation of some problems they had experienced during their construction, except for the recommendations we received for Scott McKee. Scott was referred to us by neighbors, several blocks away from us whom we had never met, but whose renovated house always admired. When we finally stopped to ask who remodeled their home and we got Scott’s name, without hesitation and with the highest of praise. And we got a tour of the kitchen Scott had renovated, the bathrooms Scott had renovated, the master bedroom Scott had renovated, and the add-on living room which, of course, Scott had done. All told, this couple had hired Scott McKee back four different times, for four different projects. This for my wife and I was the highest recommendation anyone could possibly give.

You are a trust worthy, moral, generous and kind man with which to work. I applaud you on your diligence on this project. It turned out just as we visualized and drew up. My husband Jeff and I have had Scott McKee Construction conduct several projects on our home in Long Beach. Each time, Scott was able to assess our needs, address our concerns, and even help us with design and layout. Complete remodel, the house went from 1500 square feet to 3300 square feet plus 500 square feet of outdoor decking. The project included new water, electrical and sewer systems. Scott McKee was instrumental in all aspects of the high end interior design elements and they were implemented at reasonable prices! Scott McKee's knowledge, creativity and attention to detail are outstanding! I would not hesitate to recommend him for any project.
