We modified the design of our North Scottsdale home several times and then gave up. We just couldn't get our project within budget. Defeated, we looked into custom builders' home plans. The thought was to build their plan on our lot. But then we met Sherlock Custom Homes. They asked the obvious question - "Why don't we build your plan on your lot?" We were pleasantly surprised when the budget came in. Not only were we within budget, but we had room for upgraded features and finishes. Sherlock Custom Homes has extensive custom home building experience. We were impressed with Miechelle's knowledge and the portfolio of homes built. The "open-book" process gave us confidence that we made the right choice. Subcontractor work was well organized and all were very professional. They were legitimate experts in their trades and brought a wealth of experience to our project. We are thrilled to be in our new home and would most certainly work with Sherlock Custom Homes again.

Michelle Sherlock built our casita in Scottsdale Az. As we were in NC for most of the actual project build, she proved to be a great communicator, highly organized, and strong problem solver. As with most building projects , she tackled the constant challenges and kept on budget and relatively on schedule despite a tight labor market at that time. She was excellent at getting the project through the continual hurdles that the county threw at her. ( She had built relationships over the years that engendered trust there. ). The final product is even better than I hoped —- wonderful esthetics, good construction, multi use functions for guests, and comfortable......” not just one of those boxy guest houses “ It has contributed significantly to the value of our property . Though we were no on site most of the time, Michelle kept us in the loop consistently so there were no surprises financially or in the expected end product.

Sherlock Homes and other builders originally reached out to me after I purchased my property. The difference was that Sherlock Homes took the time to ask what I expected for the project when I returned correspondence and spent a good quantity of time with me asking questions on the first initial phone call. When I met the Sherlock Homes team at the property, I discovered they had already been there long before the scheduled meeting time to assess project needs and temporarily stake out the property (based upon questions they had asked in prior meetings) so my wife and I could get a better mental picture of the project. That act alone really impressed my wife that Sherlock Homes took the opportunity to show what they could do for us and advise us of any possible issues. In short, they did their homework before our meeting. In every meeting, Miechelle and or Jason took the time to explain the process and thoroughly answer questions at each meeting. They even took us on a tour to a near completed site so that my wife and I could get a better understanding of products used and to see the quality of the workmanship. I would be proud to recommend Sherlock Custom Homes to any person considering a building project.
