We hired Spencer & Sons Construction to build a roof over our patio and could not be happier with how it turned out. John and his team were very professional to work with and they delivered on everything that was promised. The work was done in a timely fashion and they even went above and beyond to add a few finishing touches like hanging a TV for us on the patio. We are extremely happy with our covered patio and would definitely recommend Spencer and Sons Construction to our friends and family.

We have used Spencer & Sons Construction on 3 projects in the last 8 years and would recommend them to anyone. They do quality work and complete all projects on time. Easy to work both on the job and in the planning phase. Open to all suggestions/changes that may improve the project. Their team follows all safety protocols, job site kept clean and their crew of tradesmen are skilled. Glady hire them again for our next project.

Spencer & Sons Construction helped make my dream kitchen come to life. This was not the first project they have done for us and we chose them again because they have always done an excellent job. We wanted the kitchen remodel to have a little more pizazz than just a normal kitchen. John and his staff helped guide us towards the fine details we were looking for in the kitchen such as a more decorative crown molding, a custom cabinet over the range with led lighting under the cabinets and in the upper ones and much more. They incorporated all the elements we were looking for but also paid special attention to the overall function of working in the kitchen and maximizing the work spaces. Pricing was established before construction began and we were updated of any changes that took place. John’s quote was fair and we ended up within our price range when all was said and done. The whole construction phase was printed out and they kept to their time schedule. The staff was very friendly, hard working and showed up at the expected time. We would definitely hire them again.

John and his team were awesome to work with. He came out personally and measured our kitchen then his team came up with a great design for us! We ordered the cabinets from Wellborn based on their design and everything looks perfect. They delivered everything on time and John was was very responsive to all my questions and concerns! I recommend them to anyone looking for kitchen design specialists.

John and his crew were always attentive to our needs and requests. We enjoyed the time they were here working and love the completed project. We made design changes in the course of the project timeline and they were always receptive to our requests. We had a great experience and would recommend Spencer & Sons highly.

Spencer and Sons finished approximately 900 square feet of unfinished space in our new home. Built two bedrooms and a bathroom in the space. Owner was very respectful with excellent communication skills. Workmanship was out of this world! Highly recommend if you want excellent work, phenomenal communication, and also at a competitive price. All workers were respectful of our home and our family during the time of the overhaul..... HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! We WILL use them again!!

I have had the pleasure of having John Spencer & Sons Construction do a complete renovation of my kitchen and enlarge my front porch. From concept, to design, the creativity and craftsmanship was even better than I had envisioned it. John and his team were so easy to work with throughout the project. John prepared me for each phase of the remodeling, providing an outline of the work to be completed. John not only stayed within the agreed upon budget but saved me money whenever he could along the way. The craftsmanship and care to my home was evident from the initiation of the project, they always left my home cleaned up at the end of the day. A daily communication and update was provided so I was always aware of the status of my project, they even finished ahead of schedule. I so enjoy the beauty and efficiency they provided, you can see they have had a lot of experience. My kitchen is definitely a bright spot in my home, thanks to John. I would highly recommend them!! Spencer and Sons did a great job on our kitchen renovation! Its beautiful! They were all friendly and easy to talk to. Came on time every day. Cleaned up their work areas and even fixed a small leak on our roof for free! When the kitchen was almost done we decided to change the livingroom flooring as well and they tore out and installed it all in one day. They are very accountable for their work and anything that needs fixing they are all over it! I would definitely recommend them!

Spencer & Sons were great to work with! We used them to finish our basement, which included a full bathroom, work out room, entertainment/open area, and storage built into the unfinished section. They were very professional and respectful. They did a wonderful job and we are extremely pleased with how our basement has turned out. We would not hesitate to use them again for future projects and would definitely recommend them to others.

Spencer and sons just completed a covered porch. Quality of build, work, craftsmanship is amazing- hands down 5/5. Friendly staff, super clean and arrived early every day. We would 100% hire them again for a home project. The only reason it’s not a 5/5 star rating is the communication was not always efficiently done. We had a contract and waited for all covid restrictions to clear. We went over the final details of what materials to use and didn’t get the updated cost till after the project was finished. The cost difference was almost $1,000. It was choice we would have liked longer than 24 hours to process before the final payment was due. Great people, great work- would 100% hire again.

I wrote a good review immediately after our project was completed and we gave John and his team the final check. However, I have to revise the original review. During our project John told us how great we were to work with and we had many meetings where we agreed to items that were in and out of the scope of our project. Since we gave him the final check we still had a few items to wrap up and while John is a nice guy it was a regular occurrence that we had to push to get feedback and communication from him. It took us reaching out to John to get the final items completed then he sends us an email stating we owe him money for items that he said he wasn't charging us for in previous conversations, along with some items we did add. So, we are now over 3 months after moving in to our house, By the way the project took over 9 months to complete, and he is trying to get more money from us. We are very reasonable people and we forgave John the many delays and lack of communication but when we feel that he is not giving us the monies we feel we are owed back and in fact asking for money from us, we are highly offended. We were going to have them build our deck as well but we asked for our deposit back and he did refund that to us. So until this matter is fixed and we can come to an agreement, then I can't recommend them to anyone. We have given John many weeks to resolved this issue and he still hasn't gotten back to us on the money issue, sad but true. I will post photos once this issue is resolved.

John Spencer and Spencer and Sons Construction did nothing less than was promised. Our remodel, though I was skeptical, finished much better than I imagined. He saw potential in our home that I did not. Our outcome was great!
