About Us

Stone Ridge Custom Homes is a family business that I started in 2002, my son Chris is an important asset to the company. Chris and myself work closely to deliver an exceptional product focusing on the details in every aspect, with the wants and needs of our clients. My passion is building custom homes with exceptional quality (and cost efficiency) in various locations in Nashville and Williamson County. I have over 30 years of design and construction experience, ranging from large commercial projects (including major hotels and healthcare facilities) to custom residential homes and remodels. This experience has helped me develop project management procedures that drill down to even the smallest details. We are passionate about the details - they matter, and that is what makes a Stone Ridge Custom Home stand out. We believe that building a home is a partnership between the client and the builder. Stone Ridge Custom Homes took a 1958 split level house down to the studs and rebuilt it according to an independent architect's plans. They did the demo work as well as replacing the water line, burying the electrical and other service wires, and build footings for a garage and shed, dining room, screened in porch, and patio. In addition, they renovated all existing bathrooms and added a powder room on the main level of the house. They handled the contracting for all of the services from beginning to end. They were easy to work with. Listened to our questions and concerns and raised concerns on their own. Their budget was very accurate with the major surprises being payments for the abatement of asbestos surfaces in the house. Their work was finished and carefully supervised. I would easily recommend them to anyone and would be happy to use them again if the need arises.

Mick is one of the best contractors I have had the pleasure of working with. His integrity, attention to detail, and project management are among the best in the business. Add that to the fact that he is tops in all three of those attributes and you really can't do much better. He is determined to build a home that will last for generations while managing the process with efficiency and a constant eye on the homeowners bottom line.

Commented: What type of wood and how did you get the depth of it?This was made of material from pallets that the brick and stone were delivered on. The depth is simply due to the inconsistency of the thickness of the various pallet boards.
