Gary and his talented team at The Remodeling Company performed a beautiful and total renovation of my kitchen and five adjoining rooms which required retrofitting AC into a very old home. I was impressed with their respectful crews, clear communication of expectations, and solutions that always stayed within budget for this project. Within a short time later, I chose them to do a complete renovation of a separate cottage with the same satisfying experience and beautiful outcome!

We have worked with Remodeling Co on two high-end home renovation projects over the past two years, and would highly recommend them. We first brought them in on a primary bathroom gut renovation, which involved complete reconfiguration of bathroom layout, fixtures, tiling, stonework, electric and HVAC. We enjoyed working with their highly professional team and network of subcontractors, so we then engaged them for a kitchen renovation. Their communication and project management is excellent, with regular check-ins and timely responses whenever we needed to reach them. They helped us set up a temporary kitchen while our main space was unavailable and were always considerate of the fact that we were living through the construction. Their follow-up, after projects are completed, includes checking in to address any lingering or newly developed issues and the quality of their work is excellent. We’re already thinking up more projects to give them!

We met Gary and The Remodeling Company a few years ago right after my wife and I bought our first home. The listing said "bring your contractor" and they weren't kidding. There were multiple holes in the ceilings from previous leaks, a kitchen that was not safe to cook in, and an entire home that hadn't been touched in 60 years. It was a massive project and my wife and I were definitely over our heads. We interviewed several contractors and felt the most comfortable with Gary. During the initial walkthrough, he was honest about the cost and scope of the project but also helped us see the vision of what the final product could be. He was never dismissive of our ideas and was always kind to answer our many questions. That first phase involved moving a hallway, gutting an entire floor, moving the back door of the home, installing an entire kitchen, putting a bathroom where one didn't exist before and removing a second staircase that led to a bathroom. The Remodeling Company did impeccable work with an attention to detail you don't often see during massive projects like ours. Gary was responsive to questions, provided us with pros and cons when we were unsure about certain decisions, and reliable when it came to timelines and showing up for work. The team never rushed the project but also made sure to keep things moving and made sure subcontractors were staying on schedule. The entire team was polite, kind, and a pleasure to work with. Which matters when they are at your home every day. We loved the outcome so much that we brought them back for Phase Two last summer: a new deck addition, rebuilding our back steps and farmer's porch and redoing a bedroom upstairs just in time for our daughter's birth. And we have even used them for small projects in between: framing out a removed skylight, replacing some rotted clapboards, securing the beams we have in our great room. At this point, I cannot imagine hiring anyone else for our home. My wife and I joked that we were probably their poorest clients as their portfolio shows gorgeous stately homes in MA, but they treated us with such warmth and respect that at this point, Gary, Mike, Steve and Brian feel like family. I have recommended them to friends and family for small and large jobs because they treat both types with equal care and attention to detail. I know that when we are ready for Phase Three (and Four and Five) that we only need to make one call. Every day when I come home, I'm so thankful for the choice we made.

We have used The Remodeling Company for over 30 years for home improvement projects big and small on our 1907-built house. Gary and his team are always reliable and trustworthy. We find them collaborative and helpful when developing solutions that address what’re trying to achieve. Their input on design and finishing choices is always practical and gives a range of budget options. The quality of the work is always excellent, whatever the detail choices are. Projects TRC have done for us have include installing a 2nd floor bay window, installing closets, converting a mud room to a front entrance and coat closet, enlarging a deck and refinishing a basement. The most significant project that we entrusted to TRC was the almost complete reconstruction of our house after an old pipe burst on the second floor, while we were away. The basement, first floor and most of the 2nd floor were stripped to the studs. Gary and his team guided us through the mold remediation, redesigned floor layout, code upgrades and permitting process and helped us reimagine our kitchen and living area into an open plan and install an additional bathroom. They managed the many subcontractors.

They did an exceptional job on a gut rehab of an older home. Great communication, attention to detail, and commitment to the project. And it came in on budget!

We've used The Remodeling Company for a number of major renovations to our home. The most involved renovation was to our basement after a pipe froze and burst while we were in vacation. They responded quickly to help us with the repair, and due to the water damage we had them gut the entire finished basement, improve the floor, and further waterproof and improve our basement walls. This was a job only a highly professional crew with a lot of experience could do. It came out great! The other more recent renovation was for our kitchen. The kitchen had been done thirty years ago, and was finally in need of a fix up. The entire project included new cabinets and countertops, new lighting, and repairs to doors and windows. The whole project was completed on time and within budget. The Remodeling Company seems to attract the best employees as well. They respond quickly, and are always friendly and go above and beyond to fix even the smallest details. Since then, they have been back to do even some smaller projects, such as replacing our front porch stairs which had begun to deteriorate. When we need anything done, large or small, they are the only company we call.

TRC team is terrific, and a special shout out to Matt who coordinated the many facets of my condo redo. Each and every workman not only was a master of his craft, he was a pleasure to work with. I consider myself very lucky to have hired TRC and recommend everyone there without reservation

We have an old home, who doesn't in New England right? Gary and team were instrumental in helping us determine a path forward with our first large renovation project. They helped us navigate through various project scopes and costs such as home additions, heating/cooling decisions, window preferences, and flooring. Our final project included boiler and radiator removal, HVAC installation, and multiple bathroom full gut renovations. The project was on budget and on-time. We hired The Remodeling Company to replace 39 of our windows in the spring of 2018. It was evident from the reviews we read on Houzz that they have an excellent reputation and from the very first phone call through the end of the project it was evident why this is the case. We made initial contact over the phone and explained the scope of our project. The person we spoke with was efficient, personable and well informed. We were told that we would be contacted regarding a visit and we were called within a couple of days and a visit scheduled within a week. After the initial visit, a second inspection of the site by a project manager and a window specialist was made. All measurements were taken and our order was placed. Once the project began, the work was done efficiently and the work site (inside and outside of our home) was left in meticulous condition each day. Work started as promised every day and if there was an issue with the weather we were notified a day ahead. We would not hesitate to recommend The Remodeling Company (we already have!) and to use them again for any other projects we decide to undertake-

The entire team at TRC was very efficient and professional. They always responded and completed the work in a timely fashion. They were helpful and communicative throughout the process, including offering suggestions and performing additional work as needed. While we did ask them to do some additional work, it was at our request. We never felt pressured or up-sold. We are extremely happy with the quality of their finished work. I would recommend them or hire them again without hesitation.
