The Urban Builder

The Urban Builder is a licensed and insured general contracting company that specializes in residential remodels, residential additions and interior/exterior custom carpentry projects in the San Francisco Bay Area. Since its inception in 2006, The Urban Builder has been dedicated to providing the highest quality craftsmanship combined with a professional and friendly approach to client relationships. Owner Kevin Laiks started The Urban Builder after working for ten years as a lead carpenter on high-end residential remodels in San Francisco. Kevin continued working as a carpenter while earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Industrial Design from San Francisco State University. Kevin combined his design skills with his extensive construction experience and founded The Urban Builder.
