We first worked with Steve in 2010 for an addition to our house. We added on to the rear of the house, including a basement, and redid the floors in much of the first floor and converted a bedroom to a bathroom on the second floor. The project included rebuilding a bowing foundation wall and relocating our bulkhead to access the new portion of the basement. Steve subcontracts with a lot of different people and they all were very courteous and professional. We were very happy with the quality of the work done. Steve was available via email, phone, or in person. We live in a house that was built in 1852, so there were a number issues that came up due to the house's age. Steve was able to handle the issues and kept added costs within reason. Steve worked with our architect throughout the project . One of the reasons we selected him is because he is also an architect and we felt the pair would work well together to address any issues with our aging house. In 2013, we decided to do a further addition on the house to increase our number of bedrooms and asked Steve to do the second addition. He again worked with the same architect and they helped us design the new space to meet our needs and our budget. At that point, we had a toddlers, so we appreciated how Steve and his crews maintained a safe work environment even with a young child around. This time we added another bedroom, bathroom, screen porch, and study. We were again pleased with the people he brought in to do the work and the quality of the work done. The work was done efficiently with the bulk of the addition being completed within 3 months. This was a large $200,000 project. Steve has continued to be responsive as we have encountered a few minor issues in the years since the projects. For example, we had a small leak that was related to our chimney and he helped us find the right people to resolve the issues. We would not hesitate to recommend Steve Tiezzi for construction projects.

Steve Tiezzi is the ultimate general contractor. His attitude, attention to detail and high standards created a positive experience even with multiple unexpected challenges, including structural problems. We totally remodeled the downstairs and added a screened porch to a very old coastal house. Steve’s practical suggestions resolved all difficulties and he saved us money. Steve listens and is always patient. He collaborates well with everyone. The house is now a gem. The aesthetic and flow are perfect to us. The screened porch is our sanctuary. Total strangers driving by have stopped to compliment that it’s the best remodel they’ve seen. The inside is even better. Steve was a pleasure to work with and we now love our home.

We hired Steven for a partial renovation of our house which we bought in June 2017. As we wanted to enjoy and relax in the new house during the summer already, the timeframe for the renovation was very tight. Steven did a fantastic job for us from start (consulting and advising) to finish. Steven has also very good contractors working for him. He finished the work within the short timeframe and more important within the set budget. Steven is a pleasure to work with and we are planning a new project for 2018 already, for which we can hopefully hire him again! Tiezzi Construction is absolutely recommended by us!

Steve built our riverfront home in 2014. He was a consummate professional and helped us thru the myriad of finish decisions. His ability to seamlessly transition from architect to builder was a huge asset. Although we used a 3rd party architect, his skills set was invaluable in completing the final design as well as the inevitable design change partway thru the job. We hired Steven Tiezzi to be the General Contractor who worked collaboratively with our architect, Sabrina Foulke of Point One Architects, to design and completely renovate our house on the Connecticut shore. What they delivered to us was our dream house! Steve's skills and abilities are second to none and are only surpassed by his extraordinary attention to detail! Steve designed and built a carriage house that complimented the existing home beautifully. He patiently worked with me through several redesigns to meet my budget. I could not have been happier with the aesthetics and workmanship of the final product. A few years later Steve was hired for the renovation and addition to a commercial building. Shortly after construction began, the architect who designed the project unexpectedly passed away. At the same time, we encountered problems with the existing structure that required a redesign. Fortunately, Steve was able to take over as architect and complete the redesign. The project was completed on time and on budget.
