We had just a terrible experience with Wayco for our condo renovation. Broken promises on timeline, obvious things like doors left out of the bid, failure to pay subs on time leading to threats of mechanics lien on us, a complaint to the state licensing board. We hired a contract attorney and regardless of choosing Wayco or not, you should too. The subs they chose were also awful, stone contractor had to be fired and our designers had to help find a new one, and then they didn't pay them on time. Plumbing wasn't done to code and HVAC was ducted improperly leaving us with additional expenses when we eventually sold. Promises we could move back broken usually within a week or 2 during busy summer seasons leaving us and our 2 animals scrambling for accommodations. Even after it was over we asked for a list of the subs to give to the new owners who requested it during closing . They said sure only to come back a week later and say no they need to reach out to Wayco only and we won't give you the list. No matter as our attorney did have the list, but just another broken promise. We left this experience knowing now to always hire a contact attorney and to find and use reputable subcontractors directly with a project manager. Some of the folks that worked for them were respectable, we didn't get along great with Josh but that was just our experience. Do your homework and ask for references from both projects and subcontractors.

Josh and Rob and the entire Wayco team were a pleasure to work with.....on a project I was not looking forward to. They were always attentive to my concerns...Alonso worked with me on a daily basis to make sure all ran as smoothly as possible and Rob followed up to make sure all was taken care of. Office staff always answered any questions I might have in a timely manner. Cost, I feel, was fair for the work that was needed. I would not hesitate to recommend Wayco to anyone who might need their services. A bathroom was partially renovated and exterior wall paneling removed and replaced. Project initially started because of concern for mold between interior tile and exterior wall....No mold was found but tile and plumbing and exterior wall problems were dealt with along with any additional needs.

Built an ADU attached to my house in imperial beach and Josh and his crew were great to work with. Constant communication (which is hard to find these days) and excellent craftsmanship. Job was completed in a timely manor and turned out absolutely perfect. I will use them again on any other project I have in the San Diego area and high key recommend anyone else looking for a great reliable team to use WAYCO!

We were so fortunate to select Wayco Construction as our partner to rebuild this incredibly complex Port cache at the entrance of the lobby into our resort hotel. The confidence I felt in navigating through the complexity of this project with Josh and his team was critical in making sure this project would have minimal impact on our guests . His ability to adjust to the unforeseen ( and there were many) speaks highly of the skill level of Josh and his company. Thank you so much for Wayco !!!!!

We utilized Mr. Coit and Wayco Construction for a recent kitchen remodel. We had no ideas as to what we wanted the end result of this project to be, however with Mr. Coit's impeccable vision, he was able to design us the kitchen of our dreams in no time. The entire process of working with Mr. Coit and his team was seamless and professional. If this is the way remodels are supposed to go, then sign me up for more! You will be hard pressed to find another company that can provide a better experience and end result for you and your family.

UPDATE: I'm very hesitant to write negative reviews on contractors online because I think mistakes happen. What's important is fixing mistakes. However, WAYCO keeps delaying remedying the issues I have had and is not taking responsibility. My floors have buckled a few months after install. I had shared concerns with my Project manager on the install and asked them to speak to the manufacture. They did not like materials and refused to talk to install manager by material manufacture. These are materials I had before I hired them and provided them will all install information needed. However, an inspection done by a 3rd party in February show they did not leave proper expansion gap for vinyl floor. Once they found out the cost to reinstall floor they did not want to take accountability and wanted o get a inspection from someone else (they claimed my inspector was biased because he submitted a install price. However, he was called by WAYCO to give estimate 4-5 months AFTER he wrote the inpsection.) Their inspector admitted to being friends with the floor installer while assuring me "he's a stand up guy who will fix the issue" this report had a handful of false claims given to him by floor installer, which I had picture documentation to show were not true. They did not get their inspection updated without false information on it and therefore is not accurate. Their inspector however also noted lack of expansion gap. At the end of the day I have reached out to them for 9 months asking them to fix the situation and they have yet to offer me any concrete resolution other than ask me to pay 1/3 of repair cost without giving me any information of that cost. I went with someone who was licensed, seemed to care about the outcomes, and was not at all the cheapest person. I did it because I trusted them, but it is clear they will not stand by their work if it costs them a penny more. I find it sad because other than the floor contractor they used, their electrician, plumber, painter, and framers so far have seemed to do good work. I have to give a lot of props to WAYCO. They were very professional and clearly stand by their work. They worked in my budget and kept us on a quick schedule. Reliable is a lot of good these days and they are very reliable. They clearly no the ins and outs of what they are doing. They sub a lot of the work out which is what I was looking for. I wanted a plumber, a electrician, a painter-- masters of their field. They never delayed me waiting for a sub which was also great. When things did go wrong they always fixed the issue. Overall we are very happy with the remodel they provide and the customer service they gave us.

We were very impressed with Wayco. They kept us up to date as to the job progress, asked good questions and made some good suggestions which improved the final outcome of the project. Very happy.

I saw Wayco was building an ADU for a friend. I reached out as we were looking for a referral to build a deck and extend our keystone wall. I reached out to Josh at Wayco and he promptly replied, then scheduled a time to come by our home to discuss our backyard ideas. We were ready to build the deck, extend the wall, put a screen around our propane tank and a gate to our pool equipment. I couldn't be more pleased with the result of this project. Although there were some delays with materials, which is very common right now, Josh always kept us updated. I appreciated that his crew was respectful of our property and put down barriers when needed. The pricing was more than fair and the result was amazing. We are getting so many compliments as we unveiled our addition on the 4th of July to family and friends. Everyone gave many compliments about the outcome of this project appearance and how sturdy the deck was. We have and will continue to refer Wayco, and use them for future projects around our home.

We are so glad we chose Wayco Construction for our kitchen remodel! Brandon and Josh were great. They did a complete demo and remodel. Our kitchen is so much more functional, great for entertaining, and absolutely beautiful. The cost and timeline were less than expected, because Brandon worked with us to keep it affordable. He provided great ideas and gave us options so that we got more than expected for our budget. He also managed the project incredibly well, his communication from beginning to end was great, and everything only took about 3 weeks. We were amazed, and we are so grateful and happy with our new kitchen!!!

Wayco and company were a perfect selection for our Family’s project. This project has been a long time in the works and hiring Wayco was the best decision. Josh, Rob and company were thorough with their promises, commitment and definitely quality of work. If you want great work by great people Wayco is your best choice. We are VERY impressed with Wayco Construction! Josh and Brandon were so easy to work with and made the entire home renovation process a true breeze. We updated our kitchen, fireplace and flooring. They were very professional - always showing up on time, worked very fast(3 weeks from start to finish), stayed long hours to ensure there was never a mess at the end of the day. We loved the fact that they were there for us throughout all stages of this process: from the design to the actual purchasing of the materials, flooring, lights, counter top etc to installation. Would recommend them to anyone in need of house renovations and will most definitely use them again for remodeling our baths and rest of the house in the near future. Would have given them 6 stars if there was an option!!

Josh and Wayco Construction built a retaining wall with a fence on top to replace a 30 plus year old falling down wall and termite eaten falling over fence. It was a shared project with the neighbor which adds a degree of complication to any project. Wayco did an excellent job and Josh's crew were true professionals. They did everything in the contract as promised and a few extras. I would recommend Wayco for your construction projects.

Wayco Construction recently finished work on our home which entailed two projects. First was to take off the old wood paneling on the front lower half of our house and replace it with stone. Rob completed this portion of the work and was a true craftsman. He did an excellent job, we couldn't be happier. They also replaced old wood on our gable in front of the house. In the meantime in the back of our home, we requested they replace the old DIY Pergola with a solid roof patio cover with finished work and to match the rest of the house roof line and room addition. The workmanship can't be questions, it looks beautiful and we are very happy from the tongue and groove ceiling, installed canned lighting and ceiling fan. The post were built out/encased and just makes the whole patio cover come together. We asked for a finished look and got it. One of our neighbors commented that this team of craftsman arrived right at 7:00 a.m. and didn't leave until end of day. The contractor, Brandon, was hear more than not and Josh came by frequently. The Contractor, Brandon was easily accessible by phone, email and in person - response time immediate. This team carried out the work in a very timely manner, the project was kept on track. Even those pesky final details were completed timely. We just didn't have a complaint. If your looking for some work done on your residence, I would highly recommend Wayco, you will be getting quality work that is finished in a timely manner.

Wayco Construction recently did some stone work for me around my house. The experience couldn’t have gone better. From the initial discussion about the scope of work, to Josh picking out just the right material, to them completing the work, all went superbly. Very pleased and have had some great comments from passers by. I highly recommend Wayco Construction if you need any work done. I will use them again.

I want to thank Josh Coit and his team at WAYCO Construction, Inc for the great work that was done on for recent home upgrade. Josh did a fine job of managing the effort in spite of concurrent work being performed by other companies in other areas of our home, and served to work seamlessly with the other efforts. As far as the stone facing that was installed, I don't think the word "artist" is too far from appropriate to describe the work that Rob performed in upgrading our home. My wife was very pleased at the work and approving comments continually came from the rest of the family as the work progressed. I think most telling was when a couple of neighbors stopped by and commented on how nice the work was and one even sought a referral. Bottom line, if you need an appearance upgrade to your home that is professionally done, that has patient and flexible management that can work through your particular issues, I can't recommend any better professionals than the team at WAYCO Construction.
