We recently remodeled our kitchen and converted a storage room into a bedroom. The project cost over $200K. Williams Construction did a terrific job. Peter was transparent if something didn’t go to plan and would come with 2-3 solutions to discuss, so it was 99% plain sailing. Peter's experienced in what works and what doesn’t and more interested in the design than other contractors I’ve worked with. That didn’t stop me debating points with him, but generally I came round to his way of thinking, because he was right. The team didn’t cut corners: they worked with care and precision. In the past, I’ve found builders do a rough job and leave the fixes for others. Peter and the contractors he brings in are all about getting things right first time and happy homeowners. I’d wholeheartedly recommend Williams Construction. As well as good at what they do, Peter, Eric and Elias were fun to have around and took the stress out of the renovation.

Peter added a bedroom, bathroom, and kitchen to our Sunset district home. The process was smooth and easy, and he came in on budget and on time. What a treat! It’s not easy to get your plans through the planning and building departments in San Francisco and then to pass all the inspections, but with Peter’s skill and knowledge it all went smoothly. Peter has a great eye for design and also brings many years of experience to the design process with the result that everything looked and felt better than we ever imagined. Finally, he always kept us informed, often several times a day, on the status of work, and what to expect. I highly recommend Peter and Williams Construction.

I worked with Peter and his team on a gut renovation of a cramped 1950's 950sf 2bed/1bath home that was transformed into a spacious light-filled 3bed/2.5bath home, effectively doubling the livable space. In our collaboration, my focus was on the space planning, finish, & fixture selections for the kitchen and bathrooms, along with layout design of recessed lighting, and window/door trim and interior finish selections for the entire home. Peter was great to work with as a collaborator because he has such a passion for good design, and wants to see the job done right not just quick, which is a work ethic I highly value. I was very happy with his team's craftsmanship and quality of work. Peter also contributed many interesting and valuable design ideas and solutions throughout the project. In any large remodel, there are lots of moving parts and a multitude of decisions that require excellent team communication and a focused timeline. Peter was fantastic and an essential part of the project's successful outcome. He was always available to discuss project details even when he wasn't on site. All of his communication included the entire team so everyone was on the same page with decisions. And he kept us updated with upcoming construction phases so we could ensure all corresponding decisions were finalized in time to avoid any project delays. As a bonus, he's an easygoing guy where I think every time I saw him at the jobsite he either had a smile, a story, or a laugh to share, which makes him a pleasure to work with!

We are so happy we worked with Peter for our bathroom addition. As new homeowners, this was our first renovation experience, and we knew we were in great hands from the very beginning. He took the time to explain what he was doing and was available for any questions we had throughout the project. The work he does is truly outstanding. Our project (see pics of "Castro Transformation") began as an open-ended desire to enlarge the master bedroom and re-arrange the flow in the living area. It grew to a gutting of almost the entire house, the addition of a room and a complete transformation. Working with an architect and a designer, Peter managed this sprawling project and brought it to completion with results we had never imagined when it began. His skill at collaboration, creativity, attention to detail and insistence on excellent workmanship resulted in a living space that brings us joy every time we enter it. Two years later, we still can't really believe that this is our house.

Peter and his crews have worked on 4 separate projects for us (with a 5th coming up). Planning was open and collaborative, the execution was efficient and minimally disruptive, and the work is outstanding.
