I highly recommend Wizdom Construction. Gary, brought in his team to help us remodel our bathroom and turn two bedrooms into one Master bedroom with a walk-in closet. RJ and Gary were very respectful of our budget and were able to give us recommendations to keep costs down. They worked hard to keep within the timelines we requested. RJ is professional and knowledgeable and was patient in listening to our wishes. Him and Gary also kept up is in the loop about cost changes throughout the process. Contractors were friendly and personable. We are especially impressed with Juaquin and Abraham's Tile work. We are very happy with our remodel.

Will echo other reviewers, Gary and RJ were a great team to work with. Always easy to contact, communicated well, honest with no surprises during the construction phase of our ADU. As with any construction project it's important to stay on top of the subs and their work.

From the beginning, I did not feel like a client or customer. Gary and RJ made me feel like a friend or even a family member. From start to finish, I was kept informed of what to expect next and when. I suspect I was not an easy client as I continued to change my mind. But Gary and his team showed great patience and never put pressure on me to decide. For that, I am grateful. Everyone who worked on my project…demo team, floor folks, cabinet guys, countertop fabricators and installers, electricians, plumbers, insulators, plasterers and painters…all were professional and respectful of my property, cleaning up behind themselves. There were a few occasions when I needed to leave my house when a worker was present. I felt confident I could do so without repercussions as all were truly trustworthy. Throughout this re-do, Gary checked in frequently, sometimes by phone and frequently in person. I definitely recommend Wizdom Construction and look forward to contacting them again for my next project.

These guys are professional, ethical, and transparent. As a homeowner with very limited experience with ADU conversions and construction, it wasn't easy to decide who to pick. But we are glad we chose them, and they chose us. We would be thrilled to work with them again.

RJ and Gary were a dream team to work with. They remodeled a back house to get it ready to rent, put in hardscape and turf outside, and then pitted new concrete stairs and an entire driveway. Through the entire process all of my questions were answered in a thorough manner and I was so glad to have their guidance through the project!

We hired wizdom construction for a remodel/addition to our home. From start to finish, they were reliable, efficient and honest. Gary and RJ were in constant communication which was very helpful as we couldn’t be at the job site everyday. Gary would make recommendations and make changes as if it were his own house. Wizdom Construction built a 1900 square foot building for me. It was a combination work shop and art studio, with a half bath. It has 12 foot high ceilings, stucco exterior and drywall interior walls and ceiling. It has all the electrical and lighting one could ask for. Mr. R J Leal managed all the billings and payouts to the subs and suppliers and Mr. Gary Shadduck manged the construction portion of the project. This was the smoothest and most well managed project I have ever been a part of. Mr. Shadduck was ahead of the eight ball on every phase of this job. From the initial ground layout and excavation to the final clean up. He always anticipated and planned ahead for the normal hiccups associated with construction projects of this size. He kept us well informed of the various phases and time frames of each operation. This project included tradesman from excavators, concrete men, framers, roofers, insulation installers, plumbers, electricians, dry wall installers, painters, flooring men, cabinet and countertop installers, and fire sprinkler installers. All these operations were planned and executed by Wizdom Construction and fully inspected by the San Diego County Building Department. I would highly recommend Wizdom Construction for all your construction projects.

Gary and RJ were so easy to work with. Very professional, reliable, and worked around our schedule. No matter what we wanted done, they could and would do.
