Wood Ridge Construction was the general contractor on our home in Incline Village. We were very satisfied with Wood Ridge and specifically with Erik. As home owners, we were very hands on and Erik always picked up the phone/was available on site. Erik did his absolute best to ensure that our vision was achieved. Erik made many recommendations that ultimately enhanced our home from heating and ventilation to specific makes and models for our appliances. He runs a very clean and professional job site.

The job we hired Wood Ridge Construction for was a complete remodel of our home. It was very outdated and needed the following: removal of wall paper, removal of wall to wall carpeting, removal of all things "gold", removal of blue 3X3 ceramic tile in the master bath, as well as replacing kitchen countertops, bathroom vanities, and two interior walls that needed to be moved. The total square footage of the home is approx. 3500 SF. We met with Erik, the owner, in January and were initially impressed by two things; first he LISTENED to us and then second he offered two big suggestions that although we thought we diddn't want to do, it made sense after discussing it and we are VERY glad he talked to us about them. He suggested that with all the work we were putting into the home, that we should consider replacing the windows. Right on point. An expense that we were hoping to avoid, but are totally glad that we listened to him. Secondly we were not going to update the original oak cabinets in the kitchen. He called midway through the job and asked us to reconsider. Again considering the total scope of the project, leaving the old, dated cabinets did not make sense. He had a sub-contractor who came in, measured and built custom cabinets which are beautiful. It had no impact on the completion date of the job. The entire project took three months. That's all!! All of his sub-contractors were excellent and the work is meticulous. He was always on time when meeting with us and since this is a second home, much of our communication was via texting, email and photos. It all worked well. We have nothing but good things to say about Wood Ridge Construction.

Working with Erik Hirschbek, of Wood Ridge Construction in Truckee, CA, has been an excellent experience. He and his team of fine craftsmen built our new mountain modern home with noteworthy architectural features and outstanding energy efficiency, while carefully situating our one-level home capitalizing on the surrounding Tahoe views. Also, Erik was very responsive to questions we had during the building process and excellent at problem solving in those rare occasions when refinements to the plan were needed.
