“I had an outstanding experience with Great Rooms in the redesign of my kitchen, laundry room and powder room. They even contracted to have my stairs rebuilt in hardwood. Katlyn led the design work. She delivered a design that gave me much more storage and usability for the size of my kitchen. We used the Houzz website and app to share ideas. Because of Katlyn's strong and creative design sense and the Houzz app, everything went smoothly - from picking cabinets, tile, wall colors, granite and fixtures. Many of my decisions were made over e-mail. Katlyn got to know me and sent me pictures of options. She made the design process very easy and enjoyable. Once designed, Great Rooms delivers a project plan that lays out the experience and expectations to the week and day. They have delivered on the plan consistently throughout. “Yamini helped me plan for and select furnishings for my new Logan Square home. We started over completely and needed everything for our new 3,400 square foot home from sofas and chairs to tables, rugs, lamps and art. Yamini provided us with floorplans for our living and family rooms and shopped with me to select items for both rooms. The floorplans enabled us to shop efficiently and maximize floorspace with adequate room for traffic flow and overall comfort. She brings a deep knowledge and creative eye to her projects and our home was the beneficiary!”

“Benvenuti and Stein remodeled our kitchen, raised the ceiling in our dining room, and refinished our hardwood floors. Their entire staff is extremely professional, polite, honest, prompt and clean. One of their design professionals, Kris, was assigned to us for the duration of the 3 month project. Weekly meetings took place so that we were always on the same page as to where the project was in terms of completion and whether any issues needed to be resolved. Any issues that did arise were resolved quickly and to our complete satisfaction. Kris spent many hours with us visiting various suppliers (granite countertops, kitchen and door hardware, appliances). Her advice was very helpful. The level of craftsmanship shown by their carpenters (custom-designed and built cabinetry and onsite carpentry for crown-molding, etc.) is amazing. The project was completed on time and we could not be happier with the outcome. We now have a kitchen, dining room, and hardwood floors that we are extremely proud of. The result is absolutely gorgeous. We recommend Benvenuti and Stein in the highest possible terms. They are simply terrific. We look forward to using them again when it comes time to remodel our basement!”

“We initially engaged with Kristin Petro Designs, Inc. for space planning during the architectural phase of our new home construction. Ms. Petro was knowledgeable and definitive, making many suggestions that significantly altered the original plan. These included room sizes, locations, patio designs and complete change on the location of our stairs. We were so impressed with her work, we engaged with her again for home planning. Ms. Petro helped us establish budgets after a thorough review of our style. She worked diligently to ensure we worked within these constraints and assembled a flow of material that would be impossible for us to coordinate on our own. Not only are we extremely satisfied with her design acumen, but her CAD skills utilized for all custom cabinet elevations allowed us to properly bid custom cabinet suppliers. The savings on this alone was an unanticipated silver lining. At the onset, I was against the use of any designer, but would not build another house without one. Ms. Petro gets an A+.”
