“Owner Cathie Tritel is very knowledgeable of plant, flower and tree placement in relation to sunrise/sunset orientation of homeowner's yard. Her project drawings are extremely detailed, leaving no room for speculation by the landscape contractor she selects. She also is exceptionally good at balancing design and color of all hardscape elements like Roman stamped concrete, seatwall, raised garden, flower pots, lighting, etc. with shrub, trees and flower placements. Result for us was a well-balanced and aesthetically pleasing yard. She also is good at keeping the landscape contractor on schedule and ensuring all work meets her high quality standards. She even took the time to teach us yard care basics like pruning and proper watering. We are extremely glad we selected Bluestar to do our backyard makeover! Even though it's winter, flowers are blooming now!”

“Gigi provided me with a complete landscape design , displaying all the flowers and trees that we discussed and where they were being placed. She ordered all the plants and materials from the nursery. She introduced me to the the gardner that she works with, who did all the sprinklers, irrigation,new lawn and the planting. She was there when delivery was made and did an inventory of all the plants. Gigi oversaw the project till the very end and updated me on any time changes. As far as customer satisfaction, she was superb and I felt that I could call her or email her at any time. Lastly, she gave me an estimate in the very beginning, and stuck to it throughout the project unless I made any changes. I would highly recommend her landscape design company to anyone.”

“Best service provider of all I have used, including, but not limited to landscape services. Executive Care builds a relationship with the customer, does not just do the job. Works to understand priorities and needs; listens to suggestions. My property is about one acre. Executive Care has done reasonably extensive re-landscaping to four areas. “Sophie has an excellent eye and knows how to make a yard look not only beautiful but pulled together. When I came to her for a design for our backyard to go with our new pool, I had a lot of ideas. Probably too many. In fact, I'm sure it was too many. Hey, I know what I want. Sophie listened to me and incorporated my ideas into the final design so that it feels like it was my idea--only better. I don't know anything about plants or what will grow where, but that didn't matter because I had Sophie right there. Every plant type, ground cover and even placement of future hardscape features was well thought out. The yard is now inviting and the whole family enjoys spending time there. It's also a really nice backdrop out our kitchen window for days when we only get to look at it instead of hanging out there! Maybe that's the highest compliment a designer can get--when it's all done, it is more than what I expected. Actually, the best news is that our front yard needs attention and I don't have to think twice about who I am calling! Doug L.”

She visited early, before building, & determined that the prevailing westerly wind would be very uncomfortable in our planned back yard & pool area. She suggested turning the house plan around to create a sheltered area & also added a fireplace. It has worked out wonderfully. She also reoriented the pool & designed a pergola at the end, which makes a great focal point.”

“I met with Annette and Mike after our first meeting to conceptualize our plans for a modern, streamlined industrial design for our backyard remodel. I found them competent, open and engaging. While Mike brings his talent for design and his vast knowlege of specifics to the table, Annette sees the picture and the overall vision. Their talent lies in how their two approaches work together. We collaborated on an exciting design that encompassed sculpture, shade, differences in shape, texture, color and scale. The project ended up containing two entertaining areas, two shade structure, gabion walls, industrial galvanized gardening containers, a giant galvanized gate and patterned, colored concrete with a full outdoor kitchen and landscaping that was completely drought-tolerant. They took into account our family's needs and gave terrific recommendations for our general contractor, Mr. Steve Dobson. While the project went above budget, that was our choice, not theirs. To top it off, they came to photograph the job and post the images on their website, with our complete blessing. We hope to work with them again. They are delightful and creative and collaborative to boot!”
