We wanted the new house to capture the spirit of the traditional Alpine Haus put on our lot in the late 1960's, but with the quality construction, updated features, and more comfortable living that a new home could provide. “My husband and I are thrilled to be starting construction on our family home designed by Christopher Kellie Design Inc.. It was a true pleasure to work with Brent and Autumn Simmons throughout the design process. Not only is the architecture of Christopher Kellie aesthetically pleasing, it is also very smart in it's design. As a contractor/designer myself, I was first drawn to the "look" of the houses designed by the Simmons, however the actual use of space proved to be just as impressive. Brent's background knowledge in construction is obvious, as his layouts are very builder-friendly. Close attention is given to sizes and spatial relationships, allowing for maximum usage of area and efficiency with materials. On a more personal note, the Simmons were a joy to meet and work with. We live in another state, and they were most accommodating from the beginning. Autumn helped us to plan our trip to the beautiful mountains of NC, giving us recommendations for lodging, dining, as well as the best places to visit while in the area. The two also opened up their home to us, allowing us to see first hand their designs put to life. “Reedy &Sykes designed a new covered patio for an existing house. The project was complicated by the need to match up roof lines from the original house, a added greenhouse entry and the new gable roof line of the patio cover. The end result was a wonderful patio garden area which allowed for the use of the patio rain or shine.”
