About Us

Watkins Decorating was established in 1964 by John Watkins. It is Williamson County’s oldest operating flooring company. Mr. Watkin's grandson John, who had worked in the company from a young age, took over ownership in 2012. We are still family owned and operated today. Our mission is to make your floor-buying experience as hands on and tailored as possible. This is not a one-size-fits-all business, so we take time with each customer to identify their particular needs. Come visit us in our showroom to see for yourself what over 50 years of flooring solutions and customer service looks like. We’re located in the heart of Downtown Franklin, TN at 1182 West Main St, Suite 120.

Watkins Decorating took care of the remodel of my store and I couldn't be more pleased. They exceeded all expectations on time, budget, friendliness, professionalism and suggestions. They not only installed a beautiful floor that customers and other store owners have complimented, but they removed dressing rooms, installed new slatwall, repaired drywall, closed off a door that wasn't needed anymore, painted the interior of the store and the mall exterior. They even finished the job early even though due to the mall hours they weren't able to do the majority of the work during normal business hours. I couldn't be more pleased.

Extremely disappointed with the quality of installation and product. Very upset with lack of professional service and respect from business owner. We now have to replace our entire floors due to the poor judgement of this business.

Watkins Decorating provided the materials for our new wood flooring. Their price was fair and they were very knowledgeable about the products available. They even stored my order longer than originally expected to help with our schedule. They were great to work with.

Watkins Decorating with 3rd generation owner, John Dylan Watkins, did the floors in a rental condo I was preparing to put on the market. I had to have a new sub floor in the kitchen, new sheet vinyl, new carpet and pad in the rest of the unit, including stairs. Had to have a door shaved off also. Unit looks great! Work was done in a timely manner and stayed on budget as bid. Would definitely recommend Watkins Decorating for any and all flooring needs.
