“Schilling provided contracting services for our bathroom and guestroom remodels, as well as extensive repair of wood rot, window, door, and siding replacement on our exterior, and has begun consulting with us on our kitchen remodel. Schilling has also providing contracting services for repair of wood rot, window replacement and painting of exterior of building for our office condominium building, as well as the complete remodel of our office unit in that building. Doug Schilling is extremely knowledgeable, trustworthy, fair, delivers excellent results on time and in budget. Some of these projects were completed in 2009. The condo building is currect for 2014.”

“Dustin did a wonderful job for us. Cleanest tradesman BY FAR, and we've hired quite a few over the last decades. The venetian plaster is fairly mesmerizing to look at -- so much depth. The thing we learned about plaster is the colors are tricky to match to a paint chip--and Dustin was very patient with me as I toned down the severity of my original choice. Great job! “Having just completed our new Kona home, we are just beginning to enjoy the fruits of our labor after nearly 11 months of construction. Fritz Harris-Glade was our architect who is among only a handful of professionals, subcontractors, and vendors who I would recommend. Naively, I thought that once he finished our design and drawings we would then just let the contractor/builder take it from there. We quickly learned that having our architect oversee the project, conduct periodic inspections, and make suggestions for improving upon the design was essential. Fritz was always just a phone call away if not onsite. He walked us through all sorts of minor (and one major) issues with the building department. He is extremely knowledgeable of Hawaii's rather complex and odd building codes. Further, Fritz understands the complexities and tradeoffs sometimes necessary to achieving his client's goals. Sometimes it was just keeping our general contractor on pace. I didn't realize that an architect can also be a good psychologist and counselor. There were many times that I called Mr Harris-Glade just because I had a concern or was overly anxious about one thing or another. In each instance, Fritz was thoughtful, knowledgeable, and able to exert just the right amount of reassurance to keep me level headed and positive. In the end, we have a wonderful new house that we think is the best on our street with custom features and a fantastic open-air feeling.”

They came up with ideas I would not have come to on my own and the plans were put into place exactly as I had hoped. Additionally, they kept my place neat and clean during the project, important since I had to live there during the construction time. Their work on my place was featured in the Home Section of our leading metropolitan newspaper - the article was syndicated nationwide. High marks!”
