After recently moving in, our Carrier AC unit stopped turning on. We gave Champion AC a call for a second opinion after being quoted by another company $600 to replace a faulty blower motor. Champion AC was quick in diagnosing the issue and ordering the faulty motor and informed us it will be covered by the manufacturer warranty. After the part was ordered I was updated constantly on its status. When the part arrived it was installed in less than 30 mins. The unit has now been running flawlessly. I will gladly recommend Champion AC going forward.
Lance came out to the house and did a tune-up for our air conditioning as well as install the new Halo Air Purification System in the house. With all of the allergens going around lately, I have to say this new purification system and the service provided made a WORLD of difference. I can't remember the last time I woke up feeling refreshed and without a stuffy nose due to allergies. As for the actual service, Lance was quick, professional and didn't hesitate in answering any questions I had. Great job, would totally recommend to anyone!
I hired Champion AC to install a new Carrier unit in our home in April of 2018. I bought this home in July of 2017, I knew I'd have to replace the unit eventually but once April hit it stopped blowing cold air. We (my wife and I) scheduled the install job quick and Champion was able to accommodate an install within 48 hours. Our home is approximately 3,400 square feet and a huge concern of mine was making sure the temperature was as close to even as possible between the 2 floors. I have an Ecobee3 thermostat (installed it before the new unit), and I had to enable a setting to force the old AC to work a minimum of 45 minutes every hour to keep the house cool (in March / April) After installing the new unit, I've removed this setting and the AC unit only works as needed. Sidenote - I like the Ecobee3 because it has an extra sensor for upstairs, it then uses an average of upstairs temperature and downstairs temperature to come up with a whole home average temp. We installed a new Carrier unit, the guys showed up around 8 in the morning in a big Champion truck. They were very friendly, explained the process before they got started and then got to work. One of the guys went upstairs to start removing the upstairs unit while the other one went out back to work on the outside unit. It was cool to see that neither of them needed to be the babysitter. I worked from home while they worked on the unit, they really didn't need anything from me the entire time. From start to finish the job took a little over 6.5 hours. I'm asthmatic and we have two cats (wife's decision), so we did install an air purifier called an Air Scrubber Plus. After about 8 hours the house started to smell "cleaner", I've felt a bit of a difference with sneezing. It hasn't cured me of my allergies, but I know I'm breathing cleaner air in the home. My wife doesn't love the smell (it smells too clean, almost like a doctor's office sometimes), but I like knowing the air is being purified. I'm one month in and have been really happy with the performance, I'll do an average utility cost of 2018's summer vs. last summer to see what it's saved on the energy bill. I was really happy overall, this is the second unit Champion has installed for me. No complaints here, their staff has been great from start to finish.
The first winter after installation, my heater was inoperable. After my CPS audit, I was told that the wrong ac seer was installed. I had no attic insulation-- which was not brought to my attention by Champion. My electric bill in the winter has doubled. My ac outdoor unit has yet to get bolted down. As a layperson, I trusted Champion. Please do not opt for this company,
