Our furnace was 20+ years old, kept breaking on us and we had a choice to spend more money into a aging heater or start the journey of researching everything we could about the replacement process. I did what most will do, searched Google / Yelp for companies that service the Southern Orange County region and called the first "organic" ranking that showed up, and that could make it to our house that next day. Well, that first organic ranked company (which I will not call out) came over and quoted me $5,878 to replace the heater (Just the heater mind you..) and $13,492 for the whole system which as a laymen, seemed in the realm of feasibility. Like most of you will do as well, I put out a request for bids to ensure I was getting a fair price, and thankfully, Yager Services, specifically John Moses was one of the companies that reached out. He was over at our house the next day and not exaggerating, spent two hours with myself and my wife educating us on the in's and out's of the industry and the total replacement process (let alone checked out our existing heater) for no cost whatsoever. Long story short, not only were we educated on the Furnace, Coil, and Condenser we would ultimately need, (which by the way, the first company I called didn't even bother to tell me that they were going to re-weld the old coil onto a new furnace, which that old coil itself, would have needed to be replaced in a matter of years and we would have needed to take the whole furnace system out yet again... this first company was clearly after trying to get a customer to repeat purchase multiple times, thus padding their margins! which I learned was not a uncommon practice!) we also paid a fair price for a complete new system that was much less than the first quote we received. Point being, Yaeger Services took the time to educate the consumer, gave a fair reasonable price all things considered, and delivered on exactly what they said they would and earned my trust in the process. Which, as you dive into this world of HVAC companies, I'd rank "trust" above "lowest cost" any day. If you are looking for more than a contractor and a quote to help walk you through this (Let's be honest, it's a black box industry) process, then Yaeger is for you.

Yaeger Services came highly recommended to us by a professional whose job is SEERS testing of air conditioners. We worked with Matt, who was the epitome of professionalism and integrity. He dealt with our HOA, providing them with all of the information required for approval, obtained the necessary permit from the city, handled all of the details, and kept us updated by email or phone without our ever having to request any information. He was onsite the day of the installation, which was accomplished by a neat and efficient two-man team in less than a day. Matt was onsite again when the City Inspector arrived to sign off the permit. Matt and Yaeger Services handled everything for us. They even registered the warranties! Is it any wonder we intend to have them take care of future heating and A/C maintenance?
