“I contacted Evan Dyer initially to look at building a Post and Beam home in Camden, Me. After looking at the entire project, I decided to purchase and existing home. I asked Evan if he would look at an existing Post and Beam house and review the renovations I wanted. He met me at the house and walked me through the areas of concern and things to consider in renovating a Post and Beam home. (Trust me there are major differences.) Based on working with Evan I felt I could purchase the home and do the renovations within my budget. I contracted with Evan to manage the renovations. He was responsive, had good ideas and was able to provide an insight that is unique to Post and Beam construction. I would definitely higher him to renovate or build a Post and Beam home in the future.”

“John created a wonderful Maine Beachouse for us to entertain and eventually retire in. Working with strict EPA limitations he created, instead of a typical rectangular home facing south, a home of four staggered rectangles facing the southwestern ocean views.
On the main floor, one is awed by the views and entertainment space but is unaware that there is a whole other wing on the main floor for our master bedroom and office.
The second floor has its own entertainment space, bedrooms and a screened in room for our large family and visitors.
John's tastes are of deep rich architectural details in continuity with modern design with a Maine flavor, from curved nautical doors to copper roofing.
John is very confident in his work but also listens to our thoughts. When the DEP refused to allow outer decking on the upper floor we suggested to move a bathroom to an existing reading room and create a screened in room. We were all thrilled with John's redesign.
John met deadlines , was on budget and was excellent working with town and DEP officers.”

“We hired Restorations Unlimited (Larry and Larry) for a two-phase project last fall. From start to finish, the project was completed skillfully, efficiently, and with great attention to cleanliness and respect for our home and family. The first phase involved removing a deck and screened porch to make way for a same-sized addition. The phase continued with the addition's construction, exterior shingles and trim, windows, interior ceiling, electrical, lighting, and insulation. Phase Two involved an interior-window removal, door placement, wall completion (shiplap), window and floor trim, and the laying of floor tile. Our vision for the addition was accurately translated and brought to fruition within an incredibly reasonable timeframe. It looks lovely!”
